Packers History

The Pfafftown Packers Football Association was formed in the mid 70's by the Pfafftown Jaycees. The group was looking to give families on the north side of forsyth county a place to have football and cheerleading. The Packers had an amazing "dancing boots" group that won many awards and competitions all the way though the mid 90's. The cheer and football has won many local, regional and national championships. The Pfafftown Packers were apart of Northwest Midget Football League (Pop Warner Little Scholars) from the mid 70's until 2011. The 2011 cheer squad finished in the top 5 squads nationally at Disney Wide World of Sports at the Pop Warner National Cheer Competition. The 2011 Midgets finished 14-1 (3rd nationally) also at the Pop Warner National Competition in Florida. 2012 the Packers Board of Directors voted to leave Pop Warner Little Scholars to join American Youth Football League (AYF). The Packers along with 7 other organizations formed Piedmont Youth Cheer League (PYFCL) as original charter members which the Packers are still apart of. There have been many great people that have came through the organization over the years. The Packers continue to service the community as positive outlet for the youth and their families.
