The Merchants jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back.  The lead extended to 9-0 by the 5th inning, but the Catfish did tack on a couple runs to make it 9-2 in the end.

John Eckstein hurled four stellar innings allowing one hit while striking out four.  Brandon Baumgartner threw the next four giving up two runs (one earned) while JB closed it down in the 9th with two K's.

Multiple Merchants had two hit nights including JB, Lance, Ryan, and Beau.  Beau tacked on a big two run single in the 3rd inning to give the Merchants some breathing room.

12 walks and multiple wild pitches/passed balls proved costly for the Catfish who totaled five hits on the night themselves.
