After a rain out last week, the Merchants were back in action tonight against cross town rival, the Jamestown Elks. 

Tommy Linn led the way with a four hit attack including a double and three runs batted in.  Jesse Munsterman collected three hits of his own with a double.

John Eckstein threw the final five innings getting the win striking out six Elks.  Brandon Baumgartner threw the first 4 2/3rds allowing only one hit and no runs.  Greg Lunski, making his first appearance in two years bridged the gap getting an out on two pitches.

Tommy earned the Beast Big Hat Player of the game as the Merchants moved to 4-1 on the year.  Next week is the all-star break with the Merchants back in action on July 12th vs. the Mayville Redcaps.
