2023 CAMBRIA LEGION STAT LEADERS ANNOUNCED

   After a successful and competitive 2023 season, the Cambria County American Legion Baseball League announced their Final Stat Leaders for the 2023 Season.  St. Michael won the regular season championship with a record of 9-3, and also claimed the playoff championship to advance to the Region 7 Tournament.  Third -place Bedford took second place in the playoff tournament and also advanced to the Region 7 Tournament.  Hitting leaders were Richland's Cole Strick with the highest average at .577 and most runs with 16, while Saint Michael's Tyler Orris led the circuit with 18 hits and a league best 5 doubles.  Hollidaysburg's Landon Perry and seven other players smacked home runs, while Bedford's Ben Gable and three other players led the league with two triples.  Saint Michael's Kirk Bearjar was the RBI king with 12 knocks.

On the pitching side, Richland's Ethan Kaminsky topped the circuit with a league best 0.56 ERA and also led the way with 25 strikeouts.  Saint Michael's Kaden Christ led all hurlers with 3 victories, while Hollidaysburg's Landon Perry and Richland's Jonah Horner topped all relievers with 2 saves each.  A list of league leaders for each category is available further down the page.
