Hingham High teams for the 2 local Summer Leagues have been assigned. 

We expect there will be opportunities for players to participate on other teams to accommodate individual conflicts throughout the summer, and Booster Parents and/or Captains will be communicating needs for alternate players through the TeamReach app.

TEAM MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION

We will be utilizing the free TeamReach app to assist in coordinating game availability and centralizing communication for all participating players and parent volunteers.

We have created a separate Group within the TeamReach app for each of the 6 registered Hingham High teams (3 teams in each of the 11v11 and 6v6 leagues).  A Varsity Captain has been assigned to each Group to assist with monitoring player availability and seeking-out alternate(s) from other teams for each game, as/when needed.  Players should Join the respective Group(s) using the Group Code(s) assigned to each team.  

Within each Group, we have posted all league Events/games for each corresponding team, including scheduled date, time (will post game times once confirmed/released by the league) and field location.  We ask that all players proactively submit their "Attending?" availability for each Event/game directly within the app AS SOON AS KNOWN.

Because the Captains will be relying on the timely "Attending?" feedback submitted by players within the app, please DO...

• Submit your feedback timely...no later than 1 full day before each game should be reasonable
• Remember to update your feedback and post a Chat within your team Group, timely, if/when your schedule changes and conflicts arise
• Commit to showing up on time to play when indicated
• Have fun, and represent the Hingham program and your Teammates well!

In addition to the 6 team Groups, we also created a separate "HHS Summer All Members" Group (TeamReach Code - "HHSSummerAll") for all players that the Booster Parents and/or Captains will utilize to manage Summer Leagues communication across all teams through in-app Chat Messages, including to solicit availability for alternate players.  All Summer League participants should therefore also Join the All Members TeamReach Group for visibility to those Messages.  

For your reference, instructions for installing and using the TeamReach app are provided directly below, but please feel free to reach-out with any questions.

1. Install the TeamReach app from your device App Store and launch the app
2. As Summer League communication and automated game reminders will be exclusively managed through the app, please enable notifications for the TeamReach app on your device
3. Type a Group Code in the "Enter Group Code" box at the top of the app and tap "Join"
4. Tap "Agree & Continue" at the "Found Your Group..." message
5. Create a TeamReach Account using a personal email address or sign-in using your personal Google, Facebook, or Apple Account credentials
   • Note, if preferred, a parent may otherwise create an Account or sign-in to the app as or on behalf of the player at any time
6. Parents are welcome to create a separate TeamReach Account and Join the player Groups to view game schedules and monitor Summer League communication, at their discretion
7. Proceed to Join any/all other relevant Group(s)
8. Tap on any Group to view Chat/Message history or Events/game schedule
9. Tap on a listed Event to open the Event Details
10. Tap the "Yes" or "No" button to record player availability for the Event

Additionally, instructions for submitting game availability in the TeamReach app for an Event/game are outlined below.

1. Open the TeamReach app
   • You should be Joined to the "HHS Summer All Members" Group as well as each of your respective "HHS Summer...Team..." Group(s)
2. Tap the "HHS Summer...Team..." Group for your corresponding team(s)
3. Open the Events/game listing for the team by tapping the Calendar icon
4. Tap any Event to open the Details view
5. Directly tap "Yes" or "No" next to "Attending?" to confirm your availability for the Event/game ("Maybe" is not a valid response)
6. Tap "View>" to see player counts for each category ("Yes", "No", "Maybe", "Unknown")
7. Tap a category to view player listing
   • Note, you have not yet entered your availability if you appear as "Unknown"

11v11 LEAGUE AT UNION POINT, WEYMOUTH

League Details

• When:  Sundays from Jun. 23rd through Aug. 11th, playoffs Wed., Aug. 14th
• Fees:  $105 per player (includes jersey), payable to Boys Soccer Boosters via Venmo (@HinghamHSBoysSoccerBoosters)
  • Total $150 per player if also participating in 6v6 league
• The League schedule has recently been released
  • Team 1 (Riker) is "Hingham 1"
  • Team 2 (Lawler) is "Hingham 2"
  • Team 3 (Healey) is "Hingham 3"
• Game shedules, including times and field locations have also been entered as Events for each corresponding TeamReach Group
• All participants are required to submit a COVID-19 Waiver online
  • For the "Choose The One That Applies to You" section, select "Other:" and optionally type "Youth League" in the adjacent space provided

League Details

• When:  Mondays and Wednesdays from Jun. 17th through Jul. 17th (excluding Jul. 1 week), playoffs schedule TBD
• Fees:  $65 per player (includes jersey), payable to Boys Soccer Boosters via Venmo (@HinghamHSBoysSoccerBoosters)
  • Total $150 per player if also participating in 11v11 league
• The League schedule has recently been released
  • Team 1 (Riker) will compete in Division 1 as "HIN"
  • Team 2 (Lawler) and Team 3 (Healey) will compete in Division 2 as "HIN2" and "HIN3", respectively
    
    • Note, the 6-19 game for Team 3 (Healey) is not listed on the schedule, but will be at 5:00 PM on Field 4 against "BRA3"
• Game shedules, including times and field locations have also been entered as Events for each corresponding TeamReach Group
• All participants are required to submit a League Waiver online
• Please note the following rules specific to the 6v6 league
  • Once the ball crosses midfield, there is no offside
    • Note, a ball played from the defensive half into the attacking half can result in offside
  • Goal kicks and keeper throws cannot go beyond midfield in the air
    • An opposing team indirect kick from where the ball crossed midfield will be the result of the infraction
  • Players may choose to do a kick-in or throw-in, from the offensive half
    • This allows them to play quicker and keep the ball on the ground as much as possible, maximizing touches
  • There is NO slide tackling
    • Goalkeepers may slide in their box, but once they leave the 18 they are a field player and not allowed to slide
    • An indirect kick will be the result of any infraction
  • There will be no cards given
    • Referees may ask players to "cool off" for a bit or to not return to the game for a serious infraction
    • Please respect the referees
