Girls' Middle School Spring 2025 Season Information

Eligibility:  In general, our organization is designed for homeschool athletes who are at least "51%" homeschooled.  However, we are able to take a certain amount of non-homeschooled athletes.  Our middle school team does not have a tournament restriction on the number of non-homeschooled athletes like our Varsity team.  Please contact panthers.info@gmail.com or 586-224-0114 for more information.

Ages:  Grades 5-8. Fourth graders may be ready to play per coach discretion.  They may also be able to join as "practice players" for $100.  They would join practices, could attend games and may get time but would not be prioritized like regular rostered players.  This option gives them a chance to be part of the team before they are quite ready, gain some skills, and see if they enjoy the sport.

Schedule: Ten games and a season end tournament for our small league that takes place on May 17 (this date may be postponed til May 19 or 20).

Location:  Games and practices are held at Bennett Park in Whitmore Lake.  Away games are held in Lansing, Canton, Plymouth and Saline.  Our team participates in a newly formed small league comprised of Washtenaw Christian Academy, Ivywood and Homeschool United.

Coach:  Currently Doug Marshall is the planned head coach but he will need an assistant because a new work schedule will prevent him from being at all the practices or parts of practices.

Playtime:  This level is developmental and all players will get meaningful time.  More skilled players may be left in the game longer to help keep teams in games or support weaker players.

The season finishes with a year-end party.  Please check out the online calendar for our full schedule.  The schedule is always subject to time tweaks, cancellations and other changes.
