2025 Spring Bulldogs is happening now and the good news is, we have limited space available in every grade for your kids, 1st grade to HS if you want to get them signed up. Note, we take registrations on a first come/first serve basis so when we reach capacity, we will have to close registration. That said, if you are interested in joining us, I invite you to please read on and plan to be at practice this week to get signed up.
The Bulldogs are the longest running, largest, most successful club basketball team here in the Tri Valley. We are very proud to say, this will be our 30th year teaching basketball & touching young kids lives here in the Valley. Over that time, we have had over 7000 kids come through the program with over 180 going on to play in College and over 1000 making their High School teams. With that in mind, the 2024 season of Bulldogs Basketball was one of our most successful years to date. We had succesful Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter sessions. Plus we ran 4 weeks of Summer Day Camp and one week of Thanksgiving and Winter Day Camps. Through it all, we had over 425 kids come through the program in 2024. For 2025, we hope to hope to be lucky enough to touch the lives of 500 kids.
That brings us to now. Every year, Spring is our biggest session of the year. We are at about 185 kids right now and looking to close it off at 200 including our Bulldogs Select Program. So, if your interested, we are filling up fast but limited space is available. Here are the details.
Bulldogs Basketball is open to Boys and Girls, 1st grade to HS Varsity. Spring registration has begun and we have space available in every grade. That said, we are filling up fast. Our annual Spring Kickoff Workouts and Registration were the last 2 Sundays at Hart and were very well attended. With that, pratice starts this week and we have very limited space available. For spring, we are practicing mainly at Harvest Park MS (HPMS) in Pleasanton on Tuesdays and Thursdays and have optional Skills and Select workouts on Wednesdays at Fallon MS (full prac sched on calendar). For the most part, we stay on the Tues / Thurs sched to the end of May. Then Summer goes beginning of June to the end of Aug, hopefully also Tues / Thurs. (Fall is Sept, Oct and Winter is Nov, Dec, Jan.) With that in mind, registration is open and you can sign up online today. I would recommend, if you want a spot, contact coach LeClaire today about online registration to secure your spot because as I said above, once we reach 240 kids, we will have to close registration.
The Bulldogs are a program with something for all levels of player. On that note, here is what we will be offering this Spring:
- Bulldogs Seasonal Club Teams - We expect to have about 13 competitive club teams for Spring, 2nd to 8th Grade this spring all separated by skill level. Our Club teams all practice twice a week during the week and play league games on the weekend. They are a great way to get into Bulldogs because the year is broken up into 4 sessions (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) allowing you to try it out for a session and see if Bulldogs is for you.
- Bulldogs Bundle - The Bulldogs Bundle is for people that arent skilled enough yet to qualify for our Select program but know they want to play year round and would like to get some discounts. In the Bundle, we include Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter plus three 10 session skills clinics (one 10 session clinic each in spring, summer and winter). By choosing this option and paying up front, we know you are committed to the full year and for than, you get about $500 in discounts over the year.
- Bulldogs SELECT - We believe SELECT is the best and only truely Elite program, 3rd to 8th grade, based in the Tri Valley. For the year round player looking for an elite team in the valley to play for, our SELECT program is for you. SELECT is for the more skilled player that is looking for more of the year round, tourney team experience. To play SELECT, players need to be AAU level guys or CYO A to High level B players (if on a B team, probably the best player on your team.) Our SELECT teams are an 8 to 11 month commitment (8 months for 8th graders so we take them right up to their 1st HS tryout, 11 months for 3rd to 7th graders) but in that, players get the Spring, Summer, Fall (8th graders) and Winter (everyone else) sessions doing local tournaments plus Reno over Memorial Day weekend (40 to 50 games total) plus SELECT also gets about 30 extra "SELECT Only" practices over and above the standard 2 practices a week our club teams get during the spring and summer. Lastly, if there is interest, we may take them to Vegas for the End of Summer Classic (July 25, 26, 27). And for making that long term commitment to us, SELECT players also gets up to $600 in Discounts.
- Boys HS Teams - We hope to have a blended grade HS team or two. We don't have a SELECT group in HS because our HS players go back to their HS teams over the summer. So, for our HS Guys, we will practice twice a week and play Spring League. And if there is interest, we can wrap up spring by taking our top HS team to Reno for the Memorial Day AAU Event.
- Bulldogs Spring Skills Clinic - For the 19th year in a row, we will have our Spring, Summer and Winter Skills Clinics. The clinics meets 6 more times over the session, once per week, usually Wednesday nights @ Fallon MS in Dublin, to focus on the fundamental skills all players need to Master to become skillful at this game. Our spring clinic is already scheduled and on the calendar.
So, if your interested in joining any of these great programs, shoot me an email at PGLeClaire@Comcast.net and I will get you all the details including pricing and how to get signed up online today or come to practice this Tues or Thurs and sign up on site. Also, you can check back to his site for updated information about available space in each grade as well as practice times and upcoming skills clinics as that info becomes available.
