In Memoriam: Michael Grinton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Grinton, who left us at the age of 41 after a courageous 2-year battle with a rare neurological condition. A cherished member of the USPL, Mike touched the lives of everyone he met through his kindness, humor, and infectious energy. Known for his unwavering smile and ability to lift spirits, Mike was not only an exceptional ballplayer but also an extraordinary teammate and friend.

Beyond the diamond, Mike was a devoted father to his three boys—Reid, Logan, and Dexter—who were his pride and joy. He found happiness in coaching their sports teams and creating cherished memories with them. Mike’s boundless love and commitment to his family were evident to all who knew him.

Mike, thank you for the laughter, the plays, and the moments that made our league—and our lives—brighter. Rest in peace, Michael. You will be deeply missed.

Visitation: Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Funeral Service: Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11 am.
