On the night the Celtics have a huge playoff game going at the TD Garden against the Miami Heat, the East Boston Knights travel to Trum Field where they have never won in franchise history playing against the 12 time YBL champion Somerville Alibrandis. Somerville got out to an early 1 - 0 lead in the first inning on a Bobby Barrett single off Knights starter Branden Eaton that scored Mike Maguire . Eaton kept the Knights right in the game and the Knights responded with 5 runs in the 4th. Kenny Polanco started the fireworks with a triple that scored Matt Rodriguez to tie the game. The inning was capped off with an Ace DiNapoli 2 out single that gave the Knights a 5 - 1 lead. That's all the runs Branden Eaton would need. Eaton pitched a complete game keeping the Alibrandis off balance the entire evening. With the win the Knights move to 4 - 2 and stay in first place in the Yaz division. After the game, the Knights faithful travel to the local pub nearby to see the Celtics win while having a few beers.

Game 7: East Boston Knights @ Revere Rockies 6/10/12

After a 9 day layoff due to 4 rain outs the East Boston Knights took the field vs the Revere Rockies. Chucking the rock for the Knights was the birthday boy himself Sean Hannon and he did not disappoint. He kept the Rockies off balance all game pitching into the 7th inning. The Rockies scored an unearned run in the 4th and the way Wlodarczyk was pitching for the home town team that looked to be enough. The Knights responded in the 6th scrapping together 4 runs to take a 4 - 1 lead and adding an all important insurance run in the 7th. Geoff Harris led the way for the Knights with 2 big hits including 3 RBI. The other birthday boy Wilson Mercado also had a 2 out single that drove in a run of his own. The Rockies got to Hannon in the 7th and threatened to tie the game with the tying run stranded at 2nd base. Branden Eaton nailed the door shut striking out pinch hitter Del Rio to earn the save and preserve the win for the Knights

Game 8: Medford Maddogs @ East Boston Knights 6/11/12

The East Boston Knights welcomed The Medford Maddogs to EB Stadium for their first meeting of 2 this season. The Knights sent Vinny DiPierro to the mound to try and win their 4th straight game as the Maddogs countered with Mike Victory. Both pitchers did well but DiPierro was a little better. DiPierro kept Medford off balance the whole contest only allowing an unearned run in the 3rd inning. The Knights scored single runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd innings and that would prove to be enough for DiPierro. He lasted 6 innings before giving way to Branden Eaton in the 7th. Eaton allowed an unearned run in the frame but sealed the deal earning his 2nd save in as many nights. Matt Rodriguez and Chris Dowd led the way for the Knights creating chances for the home town team all night. Geoff Harris and Anthony Ortiz also had 2 hits a piece.
