Teams in 3 way tie will play MYFAI Shootout format as follows
Tie for 1st place
1. Coaches meet at mid field each flips their coin, team A is the odd man out, Team B and Team C then flip for choice of possession, team B and team C then play each other using high school overtime rules, (4 downs from the 10 yard line and equal opportunity to be on offense, ie, if team B wins the toss and elects to be on offense and scores, then team C gets 4 downs to attempt to score also, if team C scores and ties team B, the cycle is reset and its played again, if team C fails to score and tie team B, the cycle is ended.
2. The winning team may have UP TO 30 minutes to rest, and then play team A, the same format and cycle applies.
3. If team B wins then after the same rest period team A & C play each other for second place, if team A wins then Team A must play team C for first place.
4. If the teams are playing for second place it’s a sudden death series, the teams that loose go home as they loose and the last winner is second.
All rest periods must be observed between games, a team may elect to waive the rest period, but must be allowed to have it if it so desires. The cycle must continue until there is a clear winner for first place, winning 2 out of 3 games is the limit for this decision.
