WCMSBL: Where Good Students count as much as Good Basketball Players.
The WCMSBL has teams from almost all the middle schools in Washington County and in some cases beyond. Our belief is that we are training Student Athletes to be ready for high school athletics. In order to get this message across to the players we enforce grade requirements. As a result report cards are to be turned in the Saturday after grades become official at the school. This allows the league to determine player eligiblity according to the league by-laws.
In short, students are expected to succeed in all their classes in school, and are considered academically ineligible if they earn any grades below 60%.
Note* - Since report cards are no longer printed and distributed to students, this will require parents to print out the PDF report card from ParentVue each marking period or request a physical copy of the report card from the school registrar. PDF report cards are typically posted to ParentVue the Wednesday after the end of the grading period, but they will definitely be available by the Friday after the marking period is over.
