MEMO: To Cooperstown Tournament Participants

Tournament Rules
1. We are guests in Cooperstown and all town and field rules must be followed. There is no Alcohol, no smoking, no cursing and absolutely no fighting on any of the fields. These rules are strictly enforced and anyone who breaks them will cause their team to be thrown out of the tournament and not be able to come back again.
2. All games are 9 innings and have a 3-hour time limit. No inning shall start after the 2:50 hr limit has expired.
3. Any game shall be legally completed after 5 innings if the visiting team is ahead and after 4 ½ innings if the home team is ahead.
4. There is no run rule.
5. Regular season Stan Musial Division 2 rules (MABL) apply.
6. Teams may use courtesy runners in Tournament play.
7. Speed up rule applies with 2 outs for the catcher.
8. Teams may bat 10 or more batters.

10. First six teams make the playoffs.
11. First and Second place teams draw a bye. # 5 seed will play # 4 seed and # 6 will play # 3 seed to advance to semi finals.
12. The winner of # 3 Vs # 6 will play the # 2 seed and the winner of #4 Vs # 5 will play the first place team in The Semi Finals. The winners will play each other for The Championship.
13. If the event we have rain and games have to get pushed back, it may become nessasary to eliminate the first round bye and go with a 4 team playoff structure.
14. Tiebreakers:
1st Tiebreaker will be head to head.
2nd Tiebreaker will then go to lowest runs allowed.
3rd Tiebreaker will be most runs scored.
4th Tiebreaker will be a 3 inning game at one of the rain out fields.
15. Umpire fees and balls are not included in tournament games. Umpire fees and balls will be included for Championship game only.
16. Once again, observe all rules and use good judgment.
