To say our 8u Team played well would be an under statement.....We played EXTREMELY WELL!!!.....2 pool play games, 2-0 record and 1 seed, with a big win over Redlands Red again, Coach Brian let me know to be ready as they were aiming for us in Finals, I just answered "hopefully we are fotunate enough to get there, good luck".......we drew Valley Wide in Semis, and after a couple of close inn, we were able to pull away with a clutch GRAND SLAM to put game out of reach, and we return back to the Finals, woohoo...

PALM SPRINGS VS REDLANDS RED
Redlands finished game with a flurry, but we knew they could not catch us, but did they ever get confident they would get us next time, this is next time.....
after Vargas and Turtle showed it would be another pitcher's duel, we scratched across 2 early runs to put pressure on Redlands.....we constantly had runners all over every inn, but could not find the clutch hit......Vargas got out of jams and Redlands was not only able to tie score, but take a 2 run lead going into last at bats.....we were at the top of our order, a web gem at 1st base and it was 1 out, a 4 pitch k and we are down to last out, 2 out rally, 2 out rally is all I heard from our dugout, Joyrus drives a 1b to jump start our offense.....Tornado quickly hits 1-1 pitch to right field and now have tying runs on with 2 outs, Ceedee comes through again, rbi 1b and tying run now on 3rd, Turtle gets a full count bb, bags full, and Gemini to the plate, she just had a huge Grand Slam in the Semis, could she repeat......BANG!!!line drive to left center, Tornado scores, Ceedee scores, Turtle scores, Gemini standing at 3rd, all with 2 outs, 3b to go ahead by 2 runs, Blaze now at the plate, 1-2 count on her, Umpire calls BALL GAME, the 8s win the Game, in DRAMATIC fashion, I've never heard it so loud in a TOURNAMENT FINAL GAME in my life....I have been in Finals for years, World Series Finals, National Finals, never this exciting to finish a game, the "CARDIAC GIRLS", as I know there were several Parents on the verge of having Heart Attacks, Joyrus' Mom being one of them.......job well done, LADY MO back in our dugout, you group of girls are AMAZING in my eyes, cya on the dimaond.......
