2022 Olde Scotland Yard Miniature Golf Course Championship

date/time:
-Saturday, October 29, 2022. Rules briefing approx. 9:30 a.m. Tee off at 9:45 a.m.
-Please register by 8:00 a.m. on day of tournament so pairings can be made.
-Raindate: Sunday, October 30, 2022. (We will make every effort to complete the tournament on Saturday unless the course becomes completely unplayable due to inclement weather.)
format:
-Six rounds of medal play.
-Play first three rounds, then take short lunch break. Players will be re-paired for final three rounds according to score, with the last place score teeing off first and leader teeing off last for the final three rounds.
-All holes must be putted out to completion (i.e., no ?gimmies?).
-NO stroke limit on any hole.
-If there is a tie for first place at the completion of 6 rounds, there will be an 18-hole medal play playoff for the title. If there still is a tie after an 18-hole playoff, the winner will be determined in sudden death beginning on hole 1.
entry fees :
-$30.00 official entry fee for the tournament
-Since there hopefully will be a significant number of professionals participating, there also will be a separate larger side pot in addition to the official $30.00 entry fee for the tournament. Participation in that extra side pot will be totally optional but everyone in the field will be welcome to participate in that as well. Entry fee for the extra side pot will be determined based on player interest prior to tee off of the tournament (probably will be in the range of $25.00).
payouts and awards :
-Pay top half of the field (or one more player beyond top half of field) on a sliding scale (for both the official $30.00 entry fee purse and the separate additional side pot.)
-Money breakdowns for the payouts to be determined on the morning of the tournament based on the number of players. Payout breakdowns will be posted PRIOR to tee off of the tournament for both the official purse and the additional optional side purse.
-Trophy cups will be awarded for first, second and third places.
-Presentations of payouts and trophies will be held at the clubhouse following completion of the tournament.
green fees:
-$10.00/day green fee on practice days.
-The miniature golf course is NOT gated, so players can begin practice at any time (both on practice days and on the tournament date). Please pay daily green fees when someone arrives at the facility to collect them (OR give the daily green fees to Brad Lebo to give to the facility.)
-If paying a green fee in the clubhouse, please identify yourself to the counterperson as a course championship participant to get the special $10.00/day tournament practice rate.
post-tournament festivities:
-A large room has been reserved starting at 6:00 p.m. on the day of the tournament for all tournament players and their guests at Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar located at 105 W. King Street; Shippensburg, PA; 17257 (only several miles from the course.)
-We have a private room and also the Parrot bar reserved with our own waitress and about 15 TV's. Full food and bar menus will be available. Arooga's is an AWESOME sports bar!
