2024 Bulldog Battle presented by Welsch Heating and Cooling

2024 Bulldog Battle

While we had a chilly start to the morning, the day was actually quite nice this year and had little wind (rare for spring golf!).  The team title was captured by SLUH this year with a score of 299! Francis Howell took 2nd for the second straight year with a score of 306 and Marquette was 3rd with a 311.  On the individual side, we had amazing performance.  Harrison Zipfel, a freshman from SLUH, shot a 67(-5)!!  I believe this to be the second lowest score in Bulldog Battle history.  Carter White (FH) shot a 71 (-1) good for 2nd place and Anders Thomas (Lafayette) and Trey Rusthoven (FZE) both tied for 3rd with rounds of 73 (+1).  Overall, there were 28 players that broke 80 which was impressive and players had to shoot 76 or better to be in the top 10 and earn a medal. The entire 2023 team and individual results can be found by clicking on the "PAGES" tab above.

Tournament Purpose

The Bulldog Battle at WingHaven was created in order for high school players to experience a highly competitive tournament in an atmosphere similar to the Missouri State Championship Tournament. This includes using starters on the first tee, pin sheets, a notice to competitors,  and St. Louis District Rules Officials on the course.
