2018 Meet the Team

Red/White Scrimmage

Friday, Nov. 9th @ 7:00

 

The Carlisle boys basketball program will hold a "meet the team" night on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7:00 at Carlisle High School.  7th grade, 8th grade, JV, and Varsity will have inter-squad scrimmages that night so come out and support the boys as we kick off the 2018-19 season.  Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.


2018 Basketball Tryouts

Boy's basketball tryouts will start on November 2nd.

2018 Youth Basketball Camp

Monday, June 4 - Wednesday, June 6

9:00-12:00

Carlisle High School

The Carlisle High School basketball coaching staff will be holding a youth camp for boys and girls entering grades 3-8.  The fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, offense, defense, and teamwork will be the focus of our camp.  The high school coaches, along with the high school players will direct and teach these essential fundamentals of basketball to the campers.

Cost: $35 (Make checks payable to Carlisle Athletic Boosters)

 

Please return form with payment to Coach Ridinger at the high school by Thursday, May 24th.  We will also take walk-ups on the first day of camp.

 

 

2018 Youth Shooting Clinic

Thursday, June 7 - Friday, June 8

9:00-11:00

The Shooting Clinic will also be for boys and girls entering grades 3-8.

Cost: $25 (Make checks payable to Carlisle Athletic Boosters)

If your son/daughter attends both the camp and the shooting clinic the cost will be $50.

Indians Now 5-6 on the Season

The boys basketball team is now 5-6 on the season after a tough Christmas break.  The Indians lost to Dayton Christian 55-53 at the beginning of break.  They were led by Justin Flor's 25 points and 8 rebounds.  Jake Moore had 8 assists and Nolan Burney grabbed 10 rebounds.  The team then lost at Franklin 88-47, as the Wildcats caught fire after halftime taking control of what was a very competitive game in the 1st half.  Carlisle was led by Flor with 16 points.  Cash Ridinger pitched in 10 points, and Jake Moore had 8 assists.  The Indians got back to their winning ways by beating Milton Union on the road last Friday, 61-50.  Justin Flor had a career high 31 points, and also had 8 rebounds and 8 blocks.  Johnathan Shepherd scored 13 points in the winning effort.  On Saturday, the boys lost another heart breaker at Brookville, 50-48. The Indians had three players in double digits with Justin Flor (17), Jake Moore (16), and Johnathan Shepherd (13).

 

The team travels to Dixie on Friday, 12/12 and will host Valley View on Saturday, 12/13.


Carlisle Defeats Tri-County North

On Saturday, Carlisle defeated the Tri-County North Panthers, 55-43.  The Indians were led by Justin Flor's 22 points as the Indians led for most of the game and pulled away late with some timely buckets.  Joe Gay had a big 4th quarter, scoring all 8 of his points in that frame, and there was great balanced scoring by Jake Moore (7), Nolan Burney (7), Cash Ridinger (6), and Johnathan Shepherd (5).  The Indians improved to 4-3 on the season.

Carlisle plays Dayton Christian on Friday, Dec. 29. at home.


  

Busy Couple of Weeks for the Indians

After an amazing win versus Waynesville in the season opener, the boys basketball team lost in back to back contests versus Monroe and Northridge.  In the Monroe game, they were led by Justin Flor's 15 points and Jake Moore's 6 assists.  Versus Northridge, the team was led by Justin again with 17 points, and Johnathan Shepherd pitched in 14 coming off the bench.  The Indians then got back in the win column by defeating Middletown Christian, 70-52.  Justin Flor had 23 points and 16 rebounds and Shepherd scored 17 points in his first career start.  The boys went to Preble Shawnee next in a tough league matchup of the 2017 SWBL Buckeye Co-champs.  The Arrows got the best of the Indians with a huge third quarter, eventually defeating Carlisle 73-45.  Carlisle was led by Justin Flor with 16 points and Johnathan Shepherd with 13.  On Friday, Carlisle met up with SWBL neighbors, the Madison Mohawks.  Carlisle won another thriller against the Mohawks, 57-49 in overtime.  The Indians were again led by Justin Flor and Johnathan Shepherd with 19 and 15, respectively.  Jake Moore also played an enormous role in the win, especially in OT.  Jake scored 10 of his 14 points in the overtime period, going 5 for 6 from the free throw stripe down the stretch.  He also tallied 7 assists on the night.  The win versus Madison marked Coach Ridinger's 100th career win as a varsity basketball coach.  Carlisle is now 3-3 and 2-2 in the SWBL Buckeye.

 

Next up for the Indians will be Tri County North on Saturday, Dec. 23rd at home.


 Indians Defeat Waynesville at the Buzzer

The Carlisle Indians began their defense of the 2016-17 SWBL Buckeye title by defeating Waynesville 56-54 on Friday night.  The Indians were led by Justin Flor with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 blocks and Jake Moore with 19 points and 8 assists.  Waynesville led for the majority of the second, third and fourth quarters until Justin Flor rebounded Dane Flatter's miss and put in the winning bucket as the horn sounded.

The team travels to Monroe on Tuesday for a non-league contest, starting with the JV at 6:00 and the Varsity around 7:15.

The boys' basketball awards banquet will be on Tuesday, March 14th at 7:30 in the high school library.  Be sure to come out and celebrate this great season with this great team.





 

Indians fall to Anna

The Carlisle boys' basketball team lost a tough 1st round tournament game to the Anna Rockets, 53-49.  The team was led by Justin Flor with 14 points, Logan Baker with 12, and Seth Butler with 11.  The team finished the season 17-6 and 11-1 in the SWBL Buckeye, earning them a share of the league title.  Congratulations to all of the players and coaches for a great season.


 


League Champs!

The boys' basketball team finished off their goal of a league championship on Friday by defeating Northridge, 60-52.  Justin Flor scored a career high 26 points and Adam Goodpaster added 15 for the Indians.  Great defensive efforts by Seth Butler and Caleb Boy helped lead the team to the title!  Congratulations boys on a great regular season.  

But, we are not finished yet...it's tourney time.  The Indians will play this Saturday at 8:00 at Butler High School vs. the Anna Rockets.





 

Sectional Tournament Game on Saturday, Feb. 25 @ 8:00

The boys basketball team earned the #4 seed in the Dayton Div. 3 sectional tournament and will play the #8 seed Anna Rockets on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 8:00 at Vandalia Butler High School.  Tickets will be on sale at Carlisle High School on Thursday 2/23 and Friday 2/24.

Indians Move to 10-1 in SWBL Buckeye

The boys basketball team defeated Dixie on Tuesday, 70-55.  They were led by Justin Flor's 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks.  Logan Baker tallied 15 points and Caleb Boy added 11.  On Friday, they beat Waynesville in a heart-stopper, 64-62.  Adam Goodpaster and Justin Flor each scored 15 points, and Logan Baker scored 14.  The Indians are 15-5 overall and 10-1 in the SWBL Buckeye, tied for first place with Preble Shawnee.

Indians Keep Pace

The boys' basketball team kept pace in the SWBL Buckeye with a 65-51 win at Milton Union, on Tuesday.  The Indians had 4 players in double-figures...Justin Flor scored 18, Logan Baker had 16, Jake Moore and Adam Goodpaster each added 10.  Seth Butler pitched in 9 as the Indians improved to 8-1 in league play.  On Saturday, the team got a nice non-league win against Hamilton Badin, 53-44.  They were again led by Justin Flor who scored 21 points and had 8 rebounds.  Adam Goodpaster scored 15 points.  This week the Indians have two big league games...they will travel to Dixie on Tuesday and will host Waynesville for Senior Night on Friday.





Indians Go 1-1 This Week

The boys' basketball team lost Tuesday to Brookville in a very close and exciting game, 49-48.  The Indians were led by four players in double figures...Adam Goodpaster (14), Jake Moore (13), Logan Baker (11), and Justin Flor (10).  On Friday, the Indians bounced back with an important SWBL Buckeye win versus Madison, 69-47.  Carlisle led by 34 at one point in the 2nd half, and were led by Adam Goodpaster's 31 points, a new career record.  Logan Baker pitched-in 16 and Jake Moore added 9.  The Indians are now 11-5 overall and 7-1 in the SWBL Buckeye Division, tied for 1st place.

Carlisle Boys Basketball...Road Warriors

The boys' basketball team went 3-0 this week in three road games, extending their winning streak to five.  On Tuesday, the Indians beat Legacy Christian 64-51.  They were led by Justin Flor with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  This was Justin's 7th double-double of the season.  Adam Goodpaster added 13 points, Logan Baker and Steve Summer both had season highs in rebounds (14 and 8 respectively) and Jake Moore had a season high 8 assists.  On Friday, the Indians traveled to Preble Shawnee for a big league contest.  They beat the Arrows 36-33 in a defensive battle.  Seth Butler led the team with 11 points.  Justin Flor grabbed 11 rebounds and had 6 blocks.  Caleb Boy and Logan Baker led the Indians defensively by helping hold the Arrows to 33 points.  On Saturday, Adam Goodpaster scored a career high 30 points as the Indians beat Tri-County North 54-44.  The Indians are now 10-4 and 6-1 in the SWBL Buckeye Division, tied for 1st place with Preble Shawnee.

Carlisle defeated Dixie on Friday, 62-45, to stay one game behind Preble Shawnee in the SWBL Buckeye Division.  The Indians were led by three players in double figures.  Adam Goodpaster had 21 points, Justin Flor had 13, and Logan Baker added 12.  Flor grabbed 11 rebounds for his 6th double-double of the season, and he also added to his school record in blocks with 5.  Goodpaster led the team with 7 assists and Baker helped on the boards with 9 rebounds.


 


Youth Night vs. Milton Union A Success

After 3 tough losses to Valley View, Dayton Christian, and Franklin, the Indians bounce back with an SWBL win against Milton Union, 50-39.  Carlisle was led by Justin Flor's 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 blocks.  Adam Goodpaster scored 9 of his 10 points in the second half and had 5 assists.  The Indians improve to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the SWBL Buckeye.


 


 

Carlisle splits 2 this week, making their record 5-1 overall

and 3-1 in  the SWBL Buckeye Division.  

On Tuesday, the Indians lost to Preble Shawnee, 59-52.  They were led by Seth Butler with 17, Adam Goodpaster with 12 and Logan Baker with 12.  On Thursday, the Indians traveled to Middletown Christian and won 68-51.  Justin Flor paced the way with 23 points.  Adam Goodpaster had 21 and Logan Baker added 18.

Carlisle beat Madison 55-52 in OT

on Adam Goodpaster's three pointer at the buzzer.

They were led by Goodpaster with 21 points and Seth Butler, who had 14.  The Indians move to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the SWBL Buckeye.


 


 

Last week the Indians went 2-0, beating Monroe 66-51 and Northridge 56-39.  Against Monroe, the Indians had 4 players in double figures...Justin Flor-15, Adam Goodpaster-14, Seth Butler-13, and Logan Baker-10.  In the Northridge game, Seth Butler led the way with 16 points, Adam Goodpaster and Justin Flor had 11, and Logan Baker pitched in 10.  Justin Flor notched his third double-double in 3 games this season.  The Indians sit at 3-0 and 2-0 in the SWBL.


 


The Indians win their opener at Waynesville, 62-49.  They were led by Justin Flor with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Adam Goodpaster with 15 points and 8 assists, and Jake Moore with 10 points.  Logan Baker and Seth Butler each had 8 points.
