Greeting Patriots,

I first would like to say that it has been a pleasure working with you and your children this season. We had some ups and some downs, but we persevered and has a wonderful season. For that I thank you! 

Today, two of our teams ventured over to Chesapeake to begin their playoff run and as expected; they fought a valiant fight and presented Denbigh in grand fashion. 

The 10U team came away with a 35-0 win and moves onto the second round next week. Great job 10U. You make us proud every time you take the field.

Our 12U team unfortunately played well, but came up a little short. They lost a hard fought 19-14 game and their playoff run ended today. Great job 12U.

Parents of 12U players that are 12 and have possibly played their last game for Denbigh, I will remove you from the distribution list after this e-mail.

To the 12U players that will play elsewhere next year, I say thank you and I wish you much success next year wherever you may play.

All remaining players and parents, I will continue to update you as our 10U continues with their fabulous season.

As I have said all year, the scoreboard is for the books, all of our players are winners because they came out in the heat of the summer, struggled through conditioning, had to adjust to travel football and competed even when the opposing teams were twice their size. That takes heart and dedication and that proves they are winners.

Again, thank you all for allowing us to work with your children. I hope to see you all at the banquet.
