Owls walk it off against Lakeview at Home
Behind dominating pitching performaces by starting pitcher Ethan Pullin and with late game shut down innings by Jerry Sanders the Patriots could only score one run. With timely hitting in critical moments by Lex Castaneda, with the final hit being a walk off RBI double to win the game. The owls were perfect on defense with no errors. With this being their best game of the year hopefully they can ride the wave into next game on April 1st against Wylie East in Wylie.

Owls continue winning ways
With 2 district games behind them both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams are undefeated early in the season. JV's convincing win against NGHS as the pitching and hitting continue to florish is a hopefull sign of things to come in the future for this young team. Varsity once again proved to be too much for NGHS with another strong pitching performance from the staff. The bats making a strong showing as well. This is going to be a fun year.
JV wins 14-3
Varsity wins 9-4
Owls Varsity and Junior Varsity put on dominating performances in wins against hated rival NGHS.
On a crisp morning with a few clouds in the sky the JV team took advantage of a big third inning offensively and a dominant pitching performance by Jack Bailey to take an early season win.
As the sun broke in the afternoon GISD Board member for Place 6 and Treasurer Robert Selders came out to the game and threw out the ceremonial first pitch. We would like to thank Robert for his participation and interest in GISD athletics. Soon after the ceremonies Varsity took the field and behind a perfect pitching performance by Lex Castaneda and hot bats on offense both help varsity take its early win as well.
With the weather moving in on Thursday all games have been moved to Wednesday making this a quick turnaround for both teams that seem to be in good early season form
