Miami Lady Canes Objective

Our objective year after year, is to provide our young ladies with good work ethic, discipline, refined coaching, and the opportunity to compete at the next level. Our success over the years is not only measured in victories, but also through the numerous players who have been recruited and have continued on to play college softball through athletic grants and academic scholarships.

Henry Owens

In the spring of 2019 we lost our dear friend and founder Henry Owens. I remember the first time I ever saw Hank, it was years ago at the batting cages in Tropical Park.  He was in his coach’s uniform putting in the extra work he always knew was needed to help athletes reach their potential. Hank had two young ladies with him wearing their orange and green uniforms and just killing the ball. These two young ladies were his daughters, Jennifer and Chrissy. I knew right then I wanted my own daughters to be Lady Canes.
 
  
 
 
  
 
 
 
Hank founded our organization in 2002 realizing the need for young ladies to have a place to showcase their talents. Since then, hundreds of young ladies have benefited from his dreams and we hope to be able to continue facilitating that dream.  JACKSONVILLE ASA CHAMPIONS 

The Miami Lady Canes 18U softball team won the Jacksonville ASA Qualifier this weekend enabling them to move forward and play at the National Tournament in Montgomery, Alabama.  We, the Miami Lady Canes Organization, want to congratulate them and wish them all the success at Nationals.
