The Yelpin Yetis, Suburban Sabres, and Valley Vipers have completed the league's first ever 3 team trade. The following transaction was made earlier today:

Yetis recieve:

Hudson Cline ( R ), Jacoby Dowler ( R ), and Grant Lurker

Sabres recieve:

David Wymore, Parker Huff, Preston Huff

Vipers recieve:

Parker Condon, next player to join the league (due to small team size)


DUST DEVILS WIN FIRST EVER HWL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Desert Dust Devils beat the Yard Yelpin Yetis 3-1 in the first ever HWL championship! You can read the game summaries by finding the game in the results tab!

The second season of HWL will begin with the new Valley Vipers taking on the Suburban Sabres.

One other rule change for this year: A player can pitch a maximum of 35IP (7 full games) throught the season. This was done in an effort to get more players chances to pitch throughout the season.


Yetis vs Dust Devils in first ever HWL championship!

The Yard Yelpin Yetis will take on the Desert Dust Devils in HWL first ever championship!

The Yetis swept the Raiders (2-0) in the three game series. The first game, a 27-13 result, was never close. However, the second game, a 6-3 result had everything in it. Starter Chase Alley shut down the Raiders, while captain Carter Reeves pitched another gem in relief, but couldn't pull out the win. 

After the championship, the HWL second season will begin. We are looking forward to including the Valley Vipers and all new rookies into the league!

The first regular season of the Highland Wiffleball League has been completed! The final standings are as follows:

  1. Desert Dust Devils (7-5)
  2. Rural Raiders (6-6)
  3. Yard Yelpin' Yetis (6-6)
  4. Suburban Sabres (5-7)

The Suburban Sabres failed to make the playoffs due to the success of the Raiders in their last two games. The Raiders and the Yetis will play each other in a three game series beginning Monday, July 10th. The winner of the series will face off against the Dust Devils for the first ever HWL title. 


Final awards consist of MVP, Cy Young (best pitcher), Silver Slugger (best batter), and three All-Pro team members. 1 pitcher, 2 batters. All awards winners must qualify for either 40ABs and/or 8.0IP on the year. All-Pro members must not be a Captain and cannot have won MVP, Cy Young, or Silver Slugger.

In other news, the HWL has decided there will be a new expansion team for next season. The captain of the new Valley Vipers will be Zach Hoover, who is a current member of the Suburban Sabres. Teams will participate in a expansion draft where team rosters will be evened out.
