Ian Robertson

HOBO 55+ alumnus Ian Robertson passed away on May 30, 2024. Here is a sampling of reactions to the news of Ian's passing:

Bill "Rooster" Ste. Marie

Honoring Four of Baseball's Pioneers:

Since the 2021 season, HOBO 55 has honored the first African Americans to play for the three big league clubs that have namesake teams in our league:

- Dodgers – number 42 – Jackie Robinson

- Cardinals – number 10 – Tom Alston

- A’s – number 23 – Bob Trice

- Tigers - number 22 - Ozzie Virgil

The right sleeve of our jerseys is adorned with the number of the corresponding player.

Welcome to the website of the 55-and-over division of the Hamilton Oldtimers’ Baseball Organization.

This is a division in which players of various talent levels can all have fun. We play Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. on two diamonds at Henning Park, on Greens Road in Caledonia, Ontario.

Elsewhere in the Main Menu you will find (under Handouts) a registration form for 2025 and (under Contact Info - not ready yet), a phone number and email address where you can obtain more information about this division and even have a registration form mailed directly to you.
