I hereby pledge to provide support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in the Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association, Inc. by following the Parent’s Code of Ethics. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event. I will place the emotional and physical wellbeing of my child and that of the other players from both teams ahead of any personal desire to win. I will support the coaches and officials working with my child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. I will remember that the game is for the kids, not the adults. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect, regardless of race, gender, creed, or ability. Furthermore, I will make every effort to get my child to practices, games, and league-scheduled activities on time. I will let the coach know when my child will be missing a practice or game. When unable to attend I will make every effort to pick up my child promptly after games and practices. Lastly, I will allow my child to have fun and enjoy our time together at Howard Palmetto.
