JCFCO40 lost in shoot out PKs
JCFC over 40 very second match in over 40 soccer was a battle that unfortunately saw JCFC bow out of the State Cup 1-1 in a PK shootout. An even first half where JCFC battle a good solid Jackson Lions (about 17 players) with the wind in their face ended 1-0 to the visitors. The second half was all JCFC and finally after many shots near and far, Raouf was delivered a through ball by Larry, scoring after the keeper initially saved the shot, but not good enough. JCFC fought through injuries to Lou, Raul and Slawek. Peluche was red carded (2nd yellow) with 10 minutes remaining. JCFC lost 3 nil in the shoot out. Team: Christian, Larry, Matt, Bernon, Roger, Kris, Slawek, Felipe, Shawn, Arturo, Raouf, Lou, Raul. Supporters included Owen, Tony, Speedy, Mo and anyone else.
JCFC over 40 win first official match in the NJ State Cup
Jersey City FC over 40 took the pitch for their first official match in the clubs illustrious history. JCFC traveled over the Newark Bay to Ironbound Stadium vs. SC Portuguese for a NJ Over 40 State Cup tangle. JCFC rushed out to a 3 nil lead. Raouf slotted a near post blast freezing the keeper. Felipe (assist Illan) bullied through for the second and Raouf (shortest player on the pitch according to the SCP keeper) headed home a Felipe corner. SCP was awarded a PK and converted. 3-1 halftime. Kris scored on a gift from SCP when a ball deflected off the SCP defenders shin and right to Kris who dribbled into the box and calmly dented the net. Felipe scored a PK off the right post after Larry was sliced to the ground inside the box. Larry scored the next three goals (all assists from Felipe) including a blast from 40 meters out. Felipe had 2 goals and 4 assists. 8 - 1 JCFC. Team: Coach Christoph; Players: Larry, Raouf, Kris, Illan, Felipe, Jaimi, Matt, Vander, Bernon, Slawek, Lou and Christian as goalkeeper.

Silverware Secured in "THE REMATCH" v. Real Wyckoff - Over 35 HASL World Cup Finals
JCFC [0] @ Real Wyckoff [0]
(JCFC wins 1-0 in pks)
Xavi. Gavi. Pedri. And now, Dani. The goalkeeping Wonderkind is the latest one-named-and-ending-in-the-letter "i" Spaniard to rise to superstardom following his heroics in the HASL Over 35 World Cup Finals. Dani provided the foundational bedrock upon which JCFC's gritty, menacing defense stood in a tightly wound final played under the colorful, twinkling glow of Manhattan's midnight sky. Referred to in the press simply as "The Rematch", this much-anticipated game between last year's finalists did not disappoint.
Hated JCFC rivals Real Wyckoff, led by famed North Jersey realtor "Goran the Terrible", arrived at Sinatra Park in Hoboken with a palpable aura of invincibility. The reigning champions, fresh off another undefeated season in which they often steamrolled (and sometimes slapped) their opposition, they had every right to be feeling confident. Little did they know that a buzzsaw awaited them in the form of the aging, old, cranky underdogs from just down the Hudson...
Led valiantly once again by Matt "Heisenberg" Friel, the JCFC defense absorbed wave after wave of Real Wyckoff attack. Heisenberg suffocated the typically omnipotent Goran the Terrible, and his display of athleticism and agility harkened back to his days as a youth over 40+ years ago. His commanding presence and vocal leadership awed those in attendance, as his innumerable calls for his fullbacks to "stay with me" reverberated again and again across the river like a tide before nestling along the embankment in Hell's Kitchen. Asked by reporters after the match if he had fun, Friel simply grunted, took his shit and went home.
Incredible effort and tactiful expertise from the JCFC midfield and frontline not only stifled Real Wyckoffs attempts at finding space and using their creativity, but also led to some breathtaking counterattacks. A surprise appearance from Jaimi "Fast Man" Pappas created an electricity in the Hoboken crowd that hasn't been felt since Sinatra himself graced stages in his hometown decades ago. With red "Make JCFC Great Again" caps worn in his honor by thousands of his fans, "Big Sexy" peppered the Real Wyckoff goal, with several near misses threatening to literally bring the house down. In a press conference after the game, Fast Man was quoted as saying "I'm f***cking pissed off. I should have had 3 goals minimum. It'll come, be patient boys. I've gotta get my shit together, I haven't played striker in a while".
After 46 gripping minutes, the match ends in a stalemate, 0-0. Penalites await, and unfortunately for Real Wyckoff, so too does...Dani. Goran the Terrible, top listing agent at his firm and top scorer in the league, stuffed by Dani as the crowd gasps and then is silent, muted by shock. Next Real Wyckoff shooter thinks he hits his mark, but Dani defies gravity, logic, and what is currently understood about the human form, flying through the air and making the stop. JCFC's Felipe "El Famoso" Faundez buries his penalty, showing the opposing team how it's done. As the third and potentially final Real Wyckoff shooter steps to the spot, everyone in attendance and even those at home all arrive at the same conclusion: he's nervous and he's going to miss. Dani has taken the form of something magestic, and almost as if it were predestined, he makes another acrobatic, diving save, and the game is won for JCFC; the trophy is coming home boys!

Massive Win in the "Jerseyside Derby" for JCFC v. Hoboken FC 1912
Hoboken FC 1912 [2] @ JCFC [3]
JCFC gutted out a must-win victory against their bitter rivals from up north, Hoboken FC 1912. The oppressive heat, lack of subs, and high mileage of the aging JCFC squad had them as heavy betting underdogs, even at home in the regal Berry Lane Park.
After going down early to a controversial goal that most in attendance felt was offsides, "Legend" Larry Kurtz equalled the score with a goal that only he has the speed, heart, and courage to have scored, latching onto a lovely pass from Raouf "The Algerian Pitbull" Ramdani. In doing so, Larry Legend becomes the league's oldest goal scorer this season at age 50. Many in the media question if he really is that old, due to his extraordinary athleticism and "Euro Style" haircut, and rumors are swirling that he was asked to submit a drug test immediately after the game.
Halftime brought about some much needed shade and hydration for both teams, as temperatures climbed well into the triple digits. A test of wills was in the making...
Luckily for the home side, no one's will is superior to that of Larry Legend. He added to his tally with a goal of pure class, firing a low rocket into the bottom left corner of the net, giving JCFC a 2-1 lead. Twitter users noticed "Laser Larry" trending on the platform, with some suggesting this should be his new nickname. A tactical analysis of this goal post-match had commentators calling it a true "team goal" due to the amount of one-touch passing that led to the finish. But the lead wouldn't last long, as Hoboken FC 1912 scores an admittedly great goal of their own. A curled direct free kick bended, dipped, swerved, and eventually nestled into the top left corner of the net. Astute observers notice it graze the top of outstanding left back Rocco "Jr." Mele's head, who said after the game that he "probably could have reached it 5 years ago", even though he is the youngest player on the team and shouldn't use that as an excuse. With the score now 2-2, this edition of the Jerseyside Derby had all the makings of a classic...
The visiting team, with their superior numerical advantage and youth, and riding the wave of momentum, begins to pile on the pressure. JCFC's defense, led by Matt "The Professor" Friel, fights valiantly. Leaked audio catches Friel telling a Hoboken FC 1912 player that he "sucks", Friel had no comment after the game. A JCFC player, who asked that his name not be revealed later tells a reporter: "No one would admit it of course, but we felt like they were going to score. We were just defending, defending, defending, and we are too old and injured for this shit. Honestly I was just ready for the BBQ at Lou's". A desperate goaline save by fill-in goalie/fearless leader/"Team Mom" Bernon (Eric) Fernández (Rios), draws a gasp from the crowd and an applause from his teammates. The momentum suddenly sways toward the underdog home team. "Is that an upset we smell?", someone asks, but it is revealed later to just be Argentinian sausages, steak, and eggplant from a nearby cookout.
With the minutes on the clock creeping ever closer to the dreaded "90:00", JCFC players and supporters realize that nothing short of a miracle is now needed. And as if from "The Heavens Above", one was delivered. A goal kick from Señor Suave lands perfectly into the arms (not literally) of JCFC's most elegant, talented player Illan "El Matador" Alvarez. IPhone footage of a spectator later shows the that ball actually briefly entered a cloud and appears in the video to be glowing. Fact-checkers are currently validating the authenticity of these images. Alvarez then displays a jaw-dropping array of strength, skill, and craft as he contains the ball and deftly swerves around the massive and intimidating Hoboken FC 1912 centerback, placing the ball into the net ever so gracefully around the on-rushing keeper. Alvarez later describes his finish as a "bitchy shoot". The JCFC players swarm Alvarez in delight as he displays his famous pelvic thrust goal celebration. 3-2 JCFC.
With just minutes left, the home team's strategy becomes very "Italian National Team in Any World Cup" and the bus is parked and time is wasted. Larry Legend leads the time-wasting charge, relying on the wisdom of his many, many years to flop, roll, and scream in pain every time an opposing player gets near. Some nearby residents even filed noise complaints, with several police reports stating that they heard a guy screaming "HE STEPPED ON MY FOOT!!!!!". Even though famed JCFC practice player Marino Stragapede was not in attendance, he later told a news outlet via Zoom that he was "a very a prouda" of the way the team defended, and "evena more a prouda" of the way they blatantly wasted time. After a few more minutes that felt like hours, filled with last-ditch tackles, long balls forward, and sheer perserverance (JCFC centerback Jose Miranda's right Achilles tendon was found on the turf after the game), the final whistle blows and the victory and 3 points are secured. Euphoria and relief amongst the players, pandemonium in the stands. Hudson County turns red.

Hoboken FC 1912 [0] vs. JCFC [0]
Unable to turn their better possession into a goal, JCFC were reduced to 10-men early in the second half. Despite their numerical disadvantage, the visitors continued to play, fashioning chances against Hoboken and nearly taking the lead. The extra man proved too difficult to overcome, and though the effort was oustanding, JCFC had to settle with only a point.

Frustration continues as JCFC held to draw
JCFC [3] vs. Bosnjack United [3]
In an continuance of an unfortunate trend, JCFC was unable to capitalize on their early momentum and ended up sharing the points with visitors Bosnjack. The home side took a well-deserved lead halfway through the first half, after a corner found Shawn at the backpost. But despite hitting the post and peppering the visitor's goal, JCFC went in level at the break after Bosnjack scored with a ball over the top from a free-kick.
JCFC upped their intensity to start the second half. Colin crossed for Kris who headed over the goalie to make it two, before an onrushing Illan leathered a ball in to make it three. But with the weather turning from poor to abyssmal, Bosnjack was able to claw their way back. Finding it tough to break out of their half against the wind, JCFC found themselves pinned back. Bosnjack double their tally directly from a free-kick. Then, with five minutes to play, JCFC lost the ball in the midfield. Bosnjack worked it forward, but despite several blocks, JCFC were unable to clear their lines, and from the scramble Bosnjack converted from just outside the 18. It was a disappointing end to a game JCFC dominated for the better part of 70 minutes.

JCFC unable to hold on against Ironbound Alumni
Ironbound Alumni [3] vs. JCFC [1]
JCFC took a well-deserved lead into the first half after Ironbound were unable to convert on two dubious penalty kicks (one missed, one excellently saved by Christian). Resolute defending and tireless running from the midfield were the hallmarks of the first 45 minutes for JCFC, and their effort was rewarded. Played clear through, Roger earned a goal for the visitors, excellently dispatched with a clinical finish.
Unfortunately, the defending State Cup champs came flying out of the blocks for the second period, scoring twice within the first 15 minutes to take the lead. A red card for the home side gave JCFC a chance to push for the equalizer, but a lack of subs coupled with a massive field and in-game injuries left only tired legs. As the game wore and JCFC pushed for their second, Ironbound was able to counter and in the dying minutes sealed the game with their third.

Frustrating loss as JCFC drop game to Moonstar SA
JCFC [1] vs. Moonstar SA [4]
Missing both a goalie and a referee, JCFC suffered defeat to Moonstar SA in their opening home game of the season. Though the final scoreline was perhaps flattering for the visitors, JCFC's inability to take their chances ultimately cost them the 3 points.
JCFC started brightly, scoring within the first 10 minutes after dominating most of the possession. But a fluke goal — scored after a blocked clearance in the 18 cannoned into the ground and over JCFC's keeper — gave Moonstar confidence. JCFC continued to threaten, hitting the crossbar after some well-worked interplay. However, JCFC were caught in possession coming out of the back, and a clinical finish saw the visitor's take the lead into the half time break.
After the restart, JCFC pushed forward, creating plenty of gilt-edged opportunities. On another day, the home side could have gone 3 or 4 up. But a combination of poor finishing, good goalkeeping, and bad luck left JCFC wanting as they were left with nothing but another rattled crossbar to show for it. Playing further up the pitch left spaces for the visitors to exploit, and it was on one such counter they scored their third. A fourth followed late in the game as JCFC chased the game, adding a bit of gloss to a much closer contest.

JCFC finishes perfect league season with win in rematch against Vodka Jrs
JCFC [3] vs. Vodka Jrs. [2]
A Sunday morning rematch between the two sides proved a much more interesting contest, as Vodka Jrs. brought a stronger squad to Berry Lane. But JCFC was equal to the task, with Raouf scoring another hat-trick for the team, including the winner in the second-half, to seal JCFC's perfect league season. The team finishes having won all 10 of their matches in the league for the 2020-2021 campaign.

JCFC wins against Vodka Jrs.
JCFC [3] vs. Vodka Jrs. [0]
A dominant first half under the lights at Berry Lane saw JCFC take a 3-0 lead into the halftime break, a score that was enough to overcome a good Vodka Jrs. side. Larry took advantage of his pace to open the scoring before Raouf finished from the spot for the home side to give them a two goal advantage. Illan capped the half with a strong run and finish to add the third. A calm and composed second half saw JCFC through without much issue, though not before Mirko made an unbelievable save in the dying seconds of the game to preserve the clean sheet.

JCFC stays undefeated in league after victory against Columbia Elite
JCFC [8] vs. Columbia Elite [2]
Playing against a squad lacking subs, JCFC controlled the game throughout. Though the visitors had several talented players, JCFC limited their chances. Bernon got JCFC started with a lovely through ball to Raouf. The striker then turned provider as he lofted a ball to the far post, which Peluche finished with a powerful header. The game was occasionally choppy with fouls and injuries, and JCFC struggled to find their best rhythm.
Not satisfied with their lead at halftime, JCFC opened the second half with a flourish. After a defensive mistake, Raouf capitalized with an acrobatic bicycle kick to add the third. Minutes later, they added a fourth — Shawn put an overlapping Colin through, and his low, hard cross found Larry arriving at the back post. Mac, making his return after an extended spell on the sidelines, added the fifth and sixth, the first from another defensive mistake and the next from a wonderful cross by Raouf. Columbia managed to pull two goals back — a deflection and then a fine piece of individual skill — but JCFC quickly restored their six goal cushion. Raouf completed his hat-trick of assists when he played in Kris, who kept the ball under pressure in the box before neatly finishing on the turn, while Larry added his second and the team's eighth to finish the game.

JCFC [3] @ Parsippany Blues [2]
A depleted JCFC managed to field enough players to play the game. Going into the second half with a 2-nil lead, the team struggled late in the game with tired legs. Still, they were able to capitalize on their chances and secure the win.

JCFC State Cup run ends against Hump Street
JCFC [3] vs. Hump Street [6]
With a lack of subs against a full-strength Hump Street, JCFC saw it's State Cup run come to a close. Without key players through injury and other reasons, JCFC went up against good side in Hump Street who had plenty of fresh legs on the bench. The home side went in down a goal after Hump Street scored from open play and then a penalty kick, but JCFC pulled one back after an excellent Felipe turn and pass found Peluche who lifted the ball over Hump Street's advancing goalie to pull one back.
The second half saw JCFC briefly take the lead. Raouf continued his scoring streak against Hump Street, scoring a ridiculous goal directly from a corner. Not to be outdone, Jose scored a sensational overhead kick inside the 18 from a Felipe free kick that found the corner to give JCFC the lead. Unfortunately, without subs as two more injuries forced changes during the course of the game, JCFC legs couldn't hold on. Hump Street leveled the score after some resolute JCFC defending. They followed with two more as JCFC struggled to keep up, and then finished the game off with a late penalty kick to add some gloss to the scoreline.
It's an unfortunate and disappointing end to a State Cup run during what's been a very promising season for the club. But with a very strong first half of the season, there's still much to play for as JCFC looks to add another title to its cabinet.
Goals: Peluche, Raouf, Jose
Assists: Felipe x 2
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Matt, Jose, Colin, Mouad, Illan, Shawn, Felipe, Raouf, Peluche, Bernon, Larry, Nassim, Lou (Coach)

JCFC advances in State Cup after first round win
JCFC [3] vs. Polonia [1]
JCFC won a tough opening round game of the State Cup to advance to the next round. Polonia put up the sternest test that JCFC has faced this year, but a brace from Peluche with a goal in-between from Illan was enough to continue the team's winning ways and see them into the next round come spring.
Goals: Peluche x2, Illan
Assists: Raouf x 2, Peluche
Team: Bernon, Mac, Raouf, Caballo, Paul, Vander, Illan, Felipe, Jaimi, Sammy, Nassim, Peluche, Lee, Benegas, Mo, Shawn, Brian, Jose
Groundhog's day as JCFC keeps win streak alive
JCFC [6] vs. Emerald FC [1]
Another game, another win, another six goals, and another hat-trick for Peluche. It's a trend JCFC certainly won't complain about as they once again walked away 6-1 winners at home in the league. Unlike recent contests, the game never really took a competitive edge as JCFC controlled both halves. A quick switch found Mouad in space, who played in Peluche to open the scoring. A second followed, this time from Illan. JCFC had time to add a third in the half, as Adel scored a golaso straight from a corner kick.
At half time, JCFC welcomed back Christian in goal, letting Caballo make his debut up top, and JCFC's new goalie wasted no time in leaving his mark with an audacious back-heel goal to open his account for the team. He turned provider a few minutes later, setting up Peluche for his 3rd successive hat-trick. Emerald pulled one back late with a fine strike from distance. But Matt ensured a familiar gloss to the scoreline with a wonderful, pinpoint cross to find Peluche at the back post, who's headed finish left the keeper no chance.
Goals: Peluche x 4, Adel, Caballo
Assists: Mouad, Illan, Peluche, Caballo, Matt
Team: Caballo, Jaimi, Matt, Jose, Colin, Mouad, Adel, Illan, Shawn, Raouf, Felipe, Christian, Nassim
JCFC remains undefeated after win against AC Rossi
JCFC [6] vs. AC Rossi [1]
In a game that oddly mirrored the previous week's match, JCFC recovered from a poor first-half to produce a very strong display against newcomers AC Rossi. Though dominating both possession and chances in the early goings, JCFC found themselves behind midway through the first half. A long ball made its way through to the visitor's striker, who made sure there was contact with Caballo in the box to draw the PK. Playing against the wind and with some errant passing, JCFC's play was sloppy at time, but they finally made the breakthrough shortly before halftime. Illan burst into the box and beat the keeper, who subsequently brought him down. Raouf stepped up and dispatched the PK to level the score headed into the break.
After a good half time talk and some quick tactical changes, JCFC took the game to Rossi in the second half. Raouf finished to put the home side ahead before Peluche notched another. There was some added drama as AC Rossi was awarded another PK, but Caballo turned it away with a solid stop. Almost immediately, JCFC went up the other end, Peluche finishing around the goalie for his second. JCFC kept the ball on the ground and wore out the opposition with smart possession. Illan scored a wonderful solo goal after picking up the ball near midfield, and there was time for Peluche to get his hat-trick after a wonderful through ball from Bernon.
Goals: Peluche x 3, Raouf x 2, Illan
Assists: Shawn x 2, Bernon x 2, Illan
Team: Caballo, Nassim, Matt, Jaimi, Colin, Adel, Shawn, Sammy, Illan, Raouf, Mac, Mouad, Bernon, Benegas, Peluche
Win streak continues as JCFC defeats Parsippany Blues
JCFC [6] vs. Parsippany [1]
JCFC kept their strong start to the season going as they saw off Parsippany in the first home game of the season. Dominant in the opening 20 minutes, JCFC pulled out to a quick 2 goal lead as Peluche opened his account with the team. But Parsippany slowly found their way into the game and pulled one back before the break.
In the second half, JCFC turned up the pressure. The control paid dividends as goals from Shawn, Dmitry — making his official return after a long injury hiatus — Illan, and a third from Peluche for his hat trick sealed the game.
Goals: Peluche x 3, Shawn, Dmitry, Illan
Assists: Shawn, Sammy, Felipe, Peluche, Bernon, Matt
Team: Bernon, Illan, Felipe, Sammy, Peluche, Mouad, Jaimi, Matt, Shawn, Ozzie, Nassim, Mac, Dmitri, Caballo, Lee
JCFC win under the Friday Night Lights
Sportfriends [1] vs. JCFC [3]
On a muddy grass field under dim lights, JCFC keep their strong start to the season going as they defeated Sportfriends 3-1. Raouf opened the scoring then added another with his second sensational free kick in as many games. Sportsfriends began to take control toward the end of the half, pulling a goal back before the break.
JCFC defended well in the second half, limiting the home team's chances thanks to excellent defending, particularly from the two center backs, Matt and Vander. Sportfriends cleared Peluche's goalbound effort off the line before Mac added some cushion to the scoreline with a fine low-finish after good work by Lebo.
Goals: Raouf x2, Mac
Assists: Lebo
Team: Caballo, Colin, Matt, Vander, Sammy, Lebo, Shawn, Felipe, Illan, Raouf, Paul, Bernon, Mo, Mac, Peluche, Larry
JCFC opens the COVID Era with win against cross-town rival Hump Street
Hump Street [4] vs. JCFC [5]
After the 2019-2020 season was cut short, JCFC welcomed back actual soccer with a win against Hoboken's Hump Street. It wasn't always pretty, but given the last competitive game the team had played was 10 months earlier, it was a solid team performance with lots of encouraging signs as new players integrated seamlessly into the side while old players picked up where they left off.
JCFC opened the scoring when a Hump Street mistake put Shawn through on goal, and his left footed finish beat the keeper. Not long after, a long punt from emergency goalie Bernon to Sammy wasn't dealt with, and JCFC's new striker made no mistake one-on-one with the goalie. If the first two goals were JCFC capitalizing on Hump Street mistakes, the third was anything but: with a free kick 22 yards out, Raouf curled an unsavable free-kick past the keeper to make it 3-0. Hump Street came back with two goals in quick succession. The first involved a blatant "hand of god" nudge from Hump Street's striker as Bernon raced out to collect a bouncing through ball, while the second was an unfortunate rare misplay from JCFC's goalie on a speculative long range effort. JCFC added a fourth however, when Hump Street headed back to their goalie, who mishandled the pass and Sammy was there to pounce. Hump Street responded with their third shortly before half. Miscommunication setting up to defend a free-kick allowed Hump Street to get behind the defense and bumble the ball in.
The second half saw less action, though JCFC had chances to bury the game but couldn't capitalize. Fortunately, midway through the half, Raouf collected a pass from Illan and recreated his earlier free-kick, only this time from open play, with the same result. JCFC did well to control the game after, though not without a heroic save from Bernon from 5 yards out to keep their 2 goal cushion. Unfortunately, with time expiring, Matt nodded a long ball back to Bernon a little too perfectly, and it looped over his head into JCFC's net. But the final whistle went immediately after, leaving JCFC off to a strong start on the year.
Sinatra Park will remain Ramdani Park for another year.

A strange game
JCFC [5] vs. United Serbs [5]
In a game that would take the better part of a day to do a full write-up for, JCFC ended up sharing the points with United Serbs in a strange game at Berry Lane Park. JCFC pulled ahead 3-0 early in the first half — a wonderful Raouf cross to Lee finished cooly at the back post; another cross from Raouf that Lou worked hard to get a foot on, powering it under the crossbar; and a brilliant cross from Lee that Raouf stuck home — but ended the half 3-2 after a miscued clearance in the box and a PK.
Serbs took advantage from a free-kick early in the second half to equalize, and capitalized on an injury to Jose at precisely the wrong moment to pull ahead. JCFC equalized when Lee played a brilliant cross to Felipe, who guided it home with a quality volley, then took the lead after Felipe headed a corner down for Matt to finish. With two minutes left, Serbs worked the ball down the right and crossed it in, squirmed through to their striker who finished it far post.

JCFC out of State Cup after hard-fought match
JCFC [1] vs. Portuguese S.C. of Perth Amboy [2]
A hard-fought game against one of NJ's top Over-30 Clubs saw JCFC bow out of the State Cup. A finely poised encounter between too strong clubs was decided by (in JCFC's opinion) some questionable officiating and bad luck.
The first half was an even affair, with both teams moving the ball well to break through two well-organized defenses. Each side also had an effort hit the crossbar, with Mirko making at least two excellent saves to keep the score level going into the break.
The second half picked up where the first left off, though JCFC slowly began to seize the momentum. Unfortunately, bad luck changed the game. Coming out of his box to make a needed clearance, Mirko injured his knee in the process, forcing Jose into goal. The Portuguese went ahead minutes later. After Paul went down under a questionable challenge, the home team continued to play. A through ball set their forward in on goal, though he appeared to be offside. He squared it to a teammate — who appeared more blatantly offside — but the flag stayed down and he opened the scoring. One of their players was sent off for a horror challenge (again on Paul) for his second yellow, though the squads were leveled when Jaimi was sent off for his second yellow later in the half. Portuguese scored off that resulting free-kick, taking advantage of JCFC's confusion to play a ball over the top to set one of their players off on a breakaway. JCFC pulled one back with 5 minutes to play, Matt with an excellent cross to find Lee who finished clinically, but there simply wasn't enough time for JCFC to find the equalizer.
A harsh result after the performance deserved better, but JCFC looks to continue their improved form in pursuit of the League and League Cup trophies.
Goals: Lee
Assists: Matt
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Matt, Jose, Nabil, Nassim, Damien, Colin, Brian, Lou, Paul, Felip, Raouf, Kris, Lee, Bernon
Raouf conquers Hoboken as JCFC win historic 150th game
JCFC [3] vs. Hump Street [1]
Despite torrential rain, 40 MPH wind gusts, and a city that's nearly impossible to find a parking spot in, JCFC put on an epically gutsy performance to win the club's 150th game and keep them in the race for the league title. Though it was difficult to find a rhythm given the conditions, JCFC made the most of their first half chances — thanks to a goalscoring clinic by Raouf (playing on one leg)— to leave Ramdani Park (formerly Sinatra Park) with all 3 points.
JCFC started the game with only 11 men, Bernon once again deputizing in net terrifically for the opening 35 minutes (only fueling rumors that he'll be called up to the national team soon) before Mirko took over to complete the game. JCFC's first goal came from a set piece, Felipe doing well to win a free-kick 20 yards out from goal. Raouf stepped up and beat the goalie low to his near-post, kissing the woodwork to squeeze it past him and get JCFC off to a flying start. He doubled their advantage about 10 minutes later. Matt, playing centre-back alongside Jose, pulled another "Matty Friel special", drifting up field unnoticed to apply pressure as Hump Street tried to work the ball out of the back. He won the ball back brilliantly and quickly released Raouf, who drove forward and finished to make it 2-0 JCFC. As Hump Street pushed higher to try and pull a goal back, JCFC took advantage to add their third. Illan picked up the ball in midfield and played a wonderful ball over-the-top for Raouf to run onto, and JCFC's striker left no doubt with another superb finish to secure his hat-trick.
Though 3 goals to the good, JCFC had the wind against them going into the second half and knew it would be a different affair. So it proved as tired legs (and occasional daft officiating) made it difficult for the team to get forward at times. However, stalwart defending, assured goalkeeping, and an incredible team effort kept the home side at bay. Hump Street did ruin JCFC's clean sheet, a ball played over the top that their winger ran on to and squared for the goal midway through the second period, but JCFC by-and-large kept Hump Street's chances to hopeful efforts outside the 18-yard box. Jose and Matt turned in heroic performances at the center of the defense, while Jaimi and Brian can go to work proud knowing they won the battle of Jersey City Fire Fighters against former JCFC player Dave Chase.
Goals: Raouf x 3
Assists: Matt, Illan
Team: Bernon, Mirko, Matt, Jose, Jaimi, Colin, Shawn, Brian, Illan, Paul, Felipe, Raouf
Dropped points as JCFC draw at home
JCFC [2] vs. Ramsey Rangers [2]
JCFC fell behind midway through the first half, when Ramsey was able to break down the wing and score. JCFC equalized early into the second half. A free-kick won after a surging run from Nabil was dispatched by Raouf, leaving the goalie rooted to the spot as he curled it into the far corner. JCFC continued to apply pressure, and after a free-kick was awarded to JCFC near midfield, Matt stepped up and played a wonderful ball into the box. Nabil played it across and Paul took the ball out of the air with a sensational volley past the goalie to give JCFC the lead. Unfortunately, JCFC failed to clear a scramble in the box and Ramsey got a foot to it to equalize. JCFC had a few opportunities to re-take the lead, including a diving header from Paul that cannoned off the far-post, but was unable to convert.
Goals: Raouf, Paul
Assist: Nabil
Team: Arturo, Jaimi, Matt F, Jose, Nabil, Nassim, Felipe, Shaun, Illan, Paul, Raouf, Colin, Damien, Mac
Exhibition match v. Meadowlands FC
JCFC held back the semi pro division club 3 - 2 as Paul netted twice and Raouf added another.
JCFC through to next round of League Cup
JCFC [2] vs White Eagle SC [0]
JCFC advanced to the next round of the league cup after a fairly dominant display against White Eagle SC. Very assured defensively and comfortable in possession, JCFC created about a million (give or take a few) chances but found goals hard to come by. The first goal came from a half-cleared corner that Colin hit cleanly first time, probably deflected it off a defender (he doesn't remember), and into the far corner.
The second half saw continued JCFC attacks but the scoreline remained a one goal affair. Two would-be goals (Felipe, Matt) were incorrectly ruled out by the ref (offside and not-playing-advantage respectively). Late in the half, Paul picked up the ball and drove forward, drawing White Eagle's defense. He then slid the ball forward to Colin, who took a touch before finishing low inside the far post to kill the game off.
Goals: Colin x 2
Assists: Paul
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Matt, Jose, Colin, Brian, Shawn, Paul, Felipe, Illan, Owen, Vander, Bernon
JCFC Wins Third Straight
JCFC [3] vs. Sportfriends [1]
Following two impressive wins against Verona FC (6-1) and Falcons FC (3-0), JCFC continued their winning streak with a 3-1 home win against Sportfriends. In the first half, a quick throw set Raouf free down the touchline. Using his body well to hold off a challenge, he squared it into the path of Lee's outstanding run, who beat his defender to the ball and squeezed it under the keeper to make it 1-0. Jose doubled the score in the second half with a beautiful 25-yard free kick straight into the far corner. Sportfriends pulled a goal back after what should have been a goal kick for JCFC turned into a throw for Sportfriends, and the subsequent ball into the box was flicked in. JCFC added the third with an incredible heads up play by Matt, who pressured deep in their half, intercepted the pass, and then calmly shot past their out of position goalie.

Horrible non call sees JCFC out of League Cup
JCFC quickly fell behind 2 - 0 to Blue Stars only to see Raouf tie it up (Jaimi, Felipe) with a pair of goals before halftime. Lee put JCFC ahead with 17 minutes left with a wonderful 40 yard volley over the keeper who was sitting too far out. However, a PK was awarded in the 80 minute and Diego scored for BS. JCFC continued to attack and with 7 minutes remaining the BS central defender purposely handled the ball inside the 18, but the ref ruled offside. Shamefully admitting his error afterwards. BS quickly played the ball and scored. Down 4-3, JCFC sent everyone forward for the corner and BS cleared it out to score another.
JCFC 6 South River FC 2 quarters League Cup
JCFC raced out to a 6 nil lead eventually winning 6 v 2 against the southern GSSL squad. Lee Patrick Mulvaney scored 3 goals and Lou, Raouf and Peter added the other three to put the squad into the semis. Lee passed to Raouf out left and Raouf cracked the net. Lou doubled it when Paul hustled to Mac's through ball and centered it for the sliding Lou top of the six. Half 2 - 0. JCFC stormed out to a 6 nil lead when Lee scored the next three goals on assists from Raouf (2) and Macario. Peter sealed the deal when Owen heeled it and Peter calmly chipped the ball left footed. Let it be known Jaimi blamed Brian for the 2 goals. Final 6 - 2. Team: Mirko, Brian, Jake, Nabil, Jaimi, Lee, Lou, Raouf, Larry, Vander, Owen, Shawn, David B, Nasim, Felipe, Macario, Paul, Peter: Coach Bernon and Jose.
JCFC lose to Den of Lions to conclude the regular season THUR NIGHT
The score may seem one sided, but this was a really good intense game played by both clubs. Their second goal a clear offside and Mac's shot just barely wide could have made the game a little more close. A bad turnover 15 minutes into the 2nd half made it 3-0 and the possible next state cup winners (TBD) made it 4-0 on a counter from a lost ball and then 5-0 with 3 minutes remaining on a free kick that hit off the post and landed on the DOL player left foot 10 yards out empty net. JCFC hit the cross bar, had a lot of possession, took at least 4 or 5 corner kicks, but it just didn't happen inside the 18 for us. Team: Coach Bernon, Larry, David B, Matt, Vander, Lou, Raouf, Felipe, Jose (injured 15 minutes in), Nasim, Paul, Macario, Lee, Brian, and Peter. Owen cheered to cross the ball.
JCFC 3 SC Portuguese 3 Sunday at BLP
A most frustrating game against a club who consistently argue, complain, foul. Matt opened up the scoring with a breakaway from a nice Macario pass through the middle. SCP tied it up somehow (own goal). Raouf scored on another Macario assist to make it 2 - 1. But SCP number 7 sprinted to the box and scored one on Jose. 2 - 2 half. JCFC fell a man behind but still managed to control the game and made it 3 - 2 when Lee was brutally hacked to the ground. Lee converted the pk. But with 8 minutes left, number 9 of SCP scored far post. Team: Bernon, Peter, Lee, Nasim, Nabil, Larry, David B, Matt, Jake, Macario, Felipe, Raouf, Jaimi, Lou and Jose as gk.
JCFC host Club Espana Sunday May 5 9 AM
JCFC extended its 2-1 halftime lead scoring 4 times to win 6-2. Goal scorers were Mac (2) (assist Paul 2x), Colin (assist Raouf), Matt, Kris and Nassim (assist Felipe) again.
JCFC 5 and Hudson FC 1. April 28
Lee opened up the assist category with a deep cross from the left flank finding Larry in the box who easily beat the keeper. Hudson scored to even it up. But just prior to halftime, Mac scored a lovely goal when Felipe lobbed in a deep pass through the middle and the Peter (assist Lee) punished Hudson with a right foot shot. 3 - 1 half. Bernon changed the lineup and put Mirko and Larry up top and it paid dividends. Mirko controlled a long pass and back heeled to Larry who rocked a 35 yard shot over the keeper. The final score was Nasim deflecting an attempted clearance that hit off Mirko's face. 5 - 1 final.
Team: Arturo, Mirko, Raouf, Lee David B, Larry, Shawn, Vander, Brian, Nabil, Nasim, Kris, Peter, Mac, Felipe, Bernon.
JCFC 5 v Polonia Wallington 4
JCFC took a 2-2 halftime lead and quickly made it 5-2 before letting a couple late goals in. A one two combo with Lee put Lou into the 18 where he placed it past the keeper. Peter made it 2-1 when he raced down the left flank (from a Lee change of field pass) and chipped it far post past the oncoming keeper. JCFC scored in the 2nd minute of the 2nd half when Larry intercepted a pass a midfield and found Lee who one touched Raouf in behind the defense and he easily slid the ball past the keeper. Shawn then cleared a ball out wide to Larry who dashed 70 yards through the defense and nutmeg the keeper. The fifth goal was Peter who found a Raouf pass inside the six and dribbled past the keeper and scored. Team: Ivan, Jake, Brian, David B, Nabil, Larry, Shawn, Colin, Lee, Raouf, Mac, Illan, Peter, and Lou.

BS controlled the middle of the second half scoring two quick goals. However JCFC was not done when striker Lee Muller Mulvanney dribbled through four of their players and struck a low ball past the outstretched keeper with 12 minutes remaining. 3 - 3 draw.

JCFC defeated NJ Alliance (open) 4 - 0 on Sunday morning. Jose hit a rocket from a set piece at the 40th minute mark. 1-0 half. JCFC destroyed the opposition in the first 10 minutes by netting three goals. Larry crashed the net right footing the ball on a gorgeous free kick taken by Illan. Next was Nabil on a quick right footed shot from 10 yards out. Then the golazzo from Mac when he recovered a clearance from our goalkeeper and then caught the keeper off the line with a 40 yards volley on a rope. 4-0. It's noted that Lou attempted a bicycle kick from 70 yards out.
Team: Arturo, Larry, Jaimi, Jake, Nasim, Nabil, Jose, Illan, Mac, Colin, Felipe, Brian, Lou, and Andrey.
Alecko 3 JCFC 0
A well contested game ended JCFC's season. A real back and forth affair. Blue Stars netted first with a nice combo freeing up Alecko Eskandarian to score from short range. BS second goal was a fluke mistake. 2-0 halftime. JCFC had some excellent chances to start the second half, but failed to convert. Alecko ended the game on the last play breakaway as JCFC was chasing for one goal. 3-0 loss result. Team: Mirko, Larry, Jake, Vander, Ivan, Shawn, Jose, Felipe, Raouf, Brian, Nabil, Illan, Lou, David C, Jaimi, Colin, Macario, Andrey, Coach Bernon.
JCFC 2 vs Meadowlands FC 0

JCFC 4 FC Fair Haven 0

Midway through the first half Brian banged a set piece off the keepers chest and Raouf finished it off. A PK was awarded prior to half when Vander was wrestled to the ground. Raouf converted. 2 - 0 half.
FCFH challenged the North Division champs, desperate to score a goal. But after stalling, JCFC capitalized. A David Chase corner kick rocketed off Ivan's head into the goal. Felipe provided the finishing touches with a low left footed blast from 6 yards out (assist Ivan). 4 - 0 win.
Team: Christian Sir, Larry, Jake, Vander, Ivan, Andrey, Colin, Nabil, Macario, Shawn, Jaimi, Raouf, Nassim, David, Illan, Felipe, Brian, and sides run by Bernon, Lou, and Jose
How did JCFC win their 6th Division in 9 seasons?
The season started out promising, with two solid pre-season victories and a clumsy win over Hudson FC 2 - 1. But two time defending champions Blue Stars stroll into Berry Lane and walked out with a 1 - 0 victory. Then the streak began. Nine straight victories, including two clean sheets v. SC Portuguese and one at Blue Stars lifted the Hudson County based club back to the peak. Stellar defense and top notch goalkeeping helped. Only 7 goals in 11 games. A consistent offense that netted 31 goals added to point gathering. New players who dedicated themselves to training and being team players and older players showing and helping guide the rookies helped also. A good combination for a club.
When are League Cup games
June 10, 17 and 24 is League Cup Tournament Knock Out Games
Schedule not yet announced, but these are the dates games are scheduled.
JCFC captures O30 North Division Title JCFC 3 Meadowlands FC 0
Jersey City FC captured it's first division title after two years without. Club Espana defeated SCP earlier in the day, thus JCFC only required one point to take the crown. JCFC traveled to Kane Stadium in Secaucus v. Meadowlands FC. The swamp based club fought tough and played a physical brand of soccer to keep the score 0-0 at half. Most of the possession and play was on the home squads half. About 10 minutes into the second half, Lee turned and rifled a shot that the keeper saved, but Andrey rushed in to blast the rebound in. Then Lee found Colin streaking down the left side. Colin beat the keeper and scored from a tight angle far post. Raouf finished Meadowlands off with a calm far post delivery past the outstretched arms of the keeper from 20 yards. Team: Mirko, Larry, Jake, Vander, Jaimi, Colin, Lou, Felipe, Jose, Bernon, David, Lee, Macario, Andrey, Nabil, Nassim, Raouf, and Shawn. Kris and Owen helping on the sides.
JCFC 4 Club Espana 1 at Berry Lane Park
Wearing the silver kits, JCFC battled a powerful first half wind to draw 1 - 1 at half. Club Espana scored first on a cheeky quick free kick with the wind from 40 yards out. But Raouf evened it up later with a wicked right footed shot from 16 yards out. 1 -1 half. With the wind, it was mostly one way traffic for JCFC. Mac scored his third of the season off a Raouf cross into the six. Then the goal of the match by Felipe with a master back heel on a Colin cross at the 8 yard mark made it 3 - 1. Nabil finished off the visitors with a goal from the six (assist Andrey on a great run into the box). Team: Andrey, Larry, Jake, Vander, Ivan, Brian, Bernon, Felipe, Jose, Paul, Macario, Raouf, Colin, Nabil.
JCFC 4 Hudson FC 0 on a Wednesday night
Macario notched his first 2 goals of his JCFC career and Raouf added 2 assists along with a 22 yard free kick in a very difficult intense matchup. Paul scored the lone goal in the first half from a feed from Raouf at the top of the 18 on a fast break. Raouf scored the free kick and then Lee assisted to Mac for the third goal and Raouf's cross found Mac's head to end the scoring at 4.
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Larry, Ivan, Shawn, Brian, Jose, Raouf, Lou, Nabil, Paul, Felipe, Macario, Lee, Andrey, Nassim, Bernon, Vander, Colin.
JCFC 3 Blue Stars 0 in Manalapan
The 5 - 3 - 2 formation rarely employed worked its magic sunday as GSSL North league leading JCFC cushioned their first place margin with a 3 to 0 victory at Blue Stars. Jose scored midway through the first half on a corner kick. 1 - 0 at half. Crisp solid passing and midfield movement lead to two more scores in the second half. Raouf (assist Paul) on a counter found the keeper asleep and launched a 35 yard rocket over the helpless netminder's outstretched arms. Raouf added a second from much closer range (a tap in) from an assist by Nassim. Solid goalkeeping and a defense that constantly played the ball through to the midfielders was rewarded with a 3 - 0 final.
Team: Mirko (GK), Jaimi, Brian, Shawn, Larry, Ivan, Nabil, Lou, Illan, Paul, Jose, Felipe, Nassim, Bernon, Raouf, Colin, Macario.

The Polish squad scored with 2 minutes remaining to make it a thriller in the rain. Team: Christian, Larry, Jake, Bernon, Brian, Raouf, Nabil, David C, Shawn, Illan, Paul, Vander, Ivan, Nasim, and Andrey.

JCFC 6 Meadowlands FC 1 at BLP
Raouf hat-trick lead the way as blasts from Dmitry and Lou along with Paul's first half header added three points to JCFCs tally this season. Dmitry assisted on Paul's goal, and Jake assisted on Lou's 25 yards screamer. Meadowlands closed the gap to within 1 when their free kick from 25 yards out was beautifully placed upper 90 giving the keeper no chance. Raouf's free kick skidding off the wall's head at the halftime gave JCFC a 3-1 advantage.
Dmitry then opened the 2nd half gathering a loose ball from 27 yards out and volleying it with pace into the net. Raouf then took another Dmitry pass and blasted it from 12 yards out on the run and Raouf finished off a Shawn cross from the right and volleyed it in the air left foot through the keepers legs. 6 -1 win.
Team: Christian, Larry, Jake, Jaimi, Bernon, Shawn, Nabil, Paul, Jose, Dmitry, Raouf, Nasim, Andrey, Lou, Kris, Felipe. Dmitry took the kits.
SCP 0 JCFC 1
Paul scored a goal with 17 minutes left to take the three points. Sport Club Portuguese lost their keeper to a red card with 10 minutes left when Raouf broke free and the net minder was caught outside the box saving the shot.
Team: Mirko, Jake, Vander, Brian, Ivan, Shawn, David C, Dmitry, Raouf, Nabil, Paul, Larry, Jose, Lou, Bernon, Nasim, Felipe: coaches Jaime and Kris.
JCFC travel to Newark and win 4 to 1 at Club Espana - capture 125 win all time
Slippery surface and wind with bursts of rain still didn't deny JCFC the 3 points. Two goals each half was enough to seal the victory as Paul (ua), Raouf (Shawn), Shawn (Nabil) and Nabil goals lead the way. Team: Mirko, Jake, Jaimi, Ivan, Larry, David C, Dmitry, Shawn, Nabil, Raouf, Paul, Nasim, Andrey, and Bernon.
JCFC battle tough, but fail to score 0 - 1 Blue Stars
A battle of two of the best clubs in NJ saw Blue Starts edge out JCFC 1 - 0 on a lone goal in the 30th minute of the 1st half. Against the wind, JCFC played an even game with the visitors. The 2nd half was one way traffic, 80 percent possession most likely, but the Blue Stars keeper saved the day with terrific save after save in both halves. Though a loss, JCFC can have a bright season, it's now up to the club spirit and ability to score.
Team: Mirko, Jake, Larry, Ivan, Dmitry, Jose, Raouf, Shawn, Vander, Owen, Nabil, Colin, Lou, David C, Bernon, Jaimi, Andrey, Paul.
JCFC 2 v. Hudson FC 1
JCFC with Dmitry two assist, a timely Jaimi left footed goal before halftime and Paul's 70th minute goal was enough to hold off the stingy Hudson FC squad. Though JCFC controlled the majority of the action on the HFC half, the city rival worked hard in the back to keep the game close.
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Jake, Andrey, Ivan, Larry, Raouf, Dmitry, Shawn, Nabil, Paul, Colin, Owen, Bernon, Nasim, and Brian. Coach Matias S.
Friendly v Morris County FC
JCFC looked impressive in their 1 - 0 friendly v. Morris County FC from GSSL Open Division. Lone goal by Colin with a cheeky back heel was enough.
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Ivan, Andrey, Jake, Shawn, Bernon, Larry, Paul, Jose, Felipe, Nabil, Nassim, Dan, Colin, Raouf, Owen, Dmitry, Lou A and Brian.
Injured: Christian, Kris, Matias
Away: Vander, Peter, Lee, David C
GREAT TURNOUT FOR RAIN TRAIN
As normal, JCFC trained in the rain. We train in 100 degree weather, in 8 degrees, snow, rain, mudslides, etc. 22 strong last night, great job everyone.
JCFC 2 Minas FC 3 in First Round League Cup
JCFC knocked out early by upstart Minas FC 3-2. JCFC scored early when Lee pushed the ball forward to Paul who crossed inside the 18 to Shawn who turned wonderfully in the box and smashed home the goal. Minas FC evened it up at half. 1-1 half. At the 55 minute, Lee found a red card. JCFC would have to play with 10 in the blistering heat. Surprisingly, JCFC then controlled the game, whereas the first half was predominantly held by Minas. But Minas would score first 2-1.. .. but then JCFC rallied and Raouf was thrown to the ground inside the box. Shawn deftly put the ball in. 2-2. The game reached OT. The first 15 went scoreless, but Minas broke away 3 v 2 and scored with 8 minutes left. Mirko was moved out of goal to striker, replaced by Bernon, JCFC pressed and pressed but couldn't equalize. Team: Mirko, Lee, Raouf, Paul, Bernon, Jaimi, Brian, Nasim, Nabil, Ivan, Vander, Shawn and Jose.
JCFC fall 2 to 4 v. Blue Stars
Goals by Mirko and Raouf (pk)
write up pending Bernon
JCFC 2 Club Espana 2
Despite injuries and sick people, JCFC drew a well organized Club Espana. Club Espana had the better of the play in the first half, but Mirko netted a wonderful header into the back of the goal off a Raouf cross to give the visitors the lead. CE scored two before half. The second half was all JCFC. A switch of Nabil to the left found the Moroccan international terrorizing the flank. The equalizer was received when midfielder convert Ivan sprinted down the right flank and found Shawn at the top of the 18 and blasted it past the keeper. A Mirko header hit the post in the final minute. 2-2 result. It must be said, Owen and Larry noted injuries on Jake, Paul, Shawn, Raouf and Matias (who was at the edge of throwing up all game, and still had a marvelous performance truly) gut it out and put it on the line for club.
Team: Christian (first game as keeper), Mirko, Shawn, Kris, Raouf, Paul, Nabil, Jake, Jaimi, Ivan, Matias, Bernon, Alan.
JCFC regrets lost chances in State Cup Semi v Kubala
Three breakaways, header off the post, another shot off the cross bar and tons of missed chances doomed the home squad. Two shots on goal the entire game by Kubala resulted in two goals. An evenly played first half ended 0-0. JCFC opened the second half quickly when Ben no looked a perfect pass to Lee sprinting down the middle of the pitch. Lee finished easily. Kubala was on their heels and JCFC was pressuring for that second goal, but all the opportunities resulted in nothing and finally Kubala scored with a combo down the right flank and a square pass into the six for the tap. The visitors scored with 10 left off a deep throw and scramble for the ball in the six yard box. Tough result knowing that two great chances in the first and then half a dozen in the second half went to the wayside. Sometimes in football, these things happen. Best of luck to United Serbs and Kubala in the final.
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Jake, Ivan, Vander, Ben, Kris, Lee, Shawn, Paul, Jose, Raouf, Alan, Bernon, Nabil, Nasim, Chris Long.
JCFC 5 v Hudson FC 0 at Caven Point

Raouf added to his goal tally this year with a wonderful volley from a Kris pass. Kris scored another goal on a wonderful combination play (assist from Raouf) where Kris dribbled past the defender and keeper. Jose made it four on a chip cross from Kris. Team: Mirko, Alan, Jake, Vander, Ivan, Peter, Bernon, Shawn, Kris, Raour, Nasim, Nabil, Jose, Paul.
JCFC 1 at SC Portuguese 2
First half lead provided by Paul's free kick meeting Raouf's head wasn't enough as JCFC struggled to pass the ball and was outplayed by it's northern division rival SC Portuguese in Newark. Injuries during the game didn't help. Team: Mirko, Alan, Larry, Paul, Raouf, Peter, Jaimi, Shawn, Nabil, Kris, Jose, Vander, Ivan, Chris.

JCFC 6 - Carteret Portuguese 4
The visitors from Carteret gave JCFC all the trouble in the world with 10 18 and 4. Controlling the first 25 minutes, Carteret scored the first to make it 1 nil. But JCFC stormed back against the wind and put in 3 goals in a span of 10 minutes. The first a Raouf cross finding Larry's head from six yards out. The second on a PK by Shawn after Raouf was mauled to the ground. The third from Larry cross to Raouf in the box. 3-1 half. JCFC made it 4 - 1 when a save by the keeper fell right into Nabil who blasted it home. Carteret scored on a PK and a wonderful volley from a cross. But JCFC sealed up the three points when Kris found Raouf and then Bernon found Nabil. The visitors scored their fourth, but that would be all the scoring in this intensely contested game. 6-4 JCFC.
JCFC 6 v Club Azores 1
JCFC played a super talented Club Azore at Berry Lane Park - first friendly of the season - and the outcome was glorious. Club Azore started quickly, moving the ball with pace and determination. The club from Newark scored first off an own goal. However, JCFC found its ground and started applying pressure to the Azore back four. Finally, Nabil evened it up before halftime with a nice shot. JCFC then went on a barrage of goals. Lee and Ben netted two each and Jose flicked a beauty off a corner kick. 6 - 1 JCFC. Team: Kris, Ben, Lee, Mirko, Vander, Larry, Ivan, Nasim, Nabil, Bobby, Shawn, Jake, Anto, Bernon, Jose, Alan, Dan.

JCFC 4 Minas FC 2
JCFC won 4 - 2 to gather its sixth consecutive state cup victory. Raouf gave JCFC the lead when Jose made a beauty of a pass and Raouf crushed it at the top of the 18. Minas tied it up late in the half. 1-1. With a slight wind and sun in Minas eyes, JCFC dominated the second half. Raouf scored off a free kick that Jose drew. The kick was from 28 yards out. JCFC scored the third goal off a Paul throw that discombobulated the Minas defense resulting in an own goal. JCFC scored the fourth when Jaimi laid a perfect pass to Owen who charged into the box and put a neat finish into the back of the net. JCFC should have scored 8 or 9 goals but Minas played tough and it was a well deserved victory for the returning Champs.
Team: Mirko, Larry, Shawn, Jake, Vander, Ivan, Bernon, Jaimi, Nabil, Peter, Paul, Alan, Owen, Raouf, Jose. On another note, this was the clubs 200th game as over 30.
Club Espana 1 and JCFC 7
JCFC took control early capturing its fifth league win of the season. Larry sprinted past the defense on the left flank dishing the ball to Owen for the tap in. Nabil volleyed the second ball over the keeper on a Raouf cross field pass. Kris scooped up a loose ball and dribbled octagons around the Espana defense before a crisp left foot goal. Club Espana scored on a really nice goal. But JCFC regained its 3 goal advantage when Kris perfectly fed Anto who slotted a wonderful near post goal down the right side. 4-1 halftime.
Second half goals by Raouf (2) and Larry with assists from Larry, Jose, and Owen finished the visiting side. Great bounce back game, from Mirko making a couple wonderful saves, to a stellar defense playing the ball out of the back. Team: Jake, Jaimi, Ivan, Peter, Larry, Nabil, Shawn, Mirko, Jose, Cash, Owen, Kris, Anto, Raouf, Silas, Bernon, Alan, and coach Matias.
JCFC 3 SC Portuguese 2 at Berry Lane Park
A match of the last two NJ State Cup Champions proved as advertised. Rainy, Windy, Tense. Each team fighting hard. After 90 minutes, it was the 2016 Champs taking all 3 points in a crucial GSSL North game. Owen scored when Raouf placed a perfect pass through the defense and Owen skirted around the keeper to score. Owen scored his second after Nabil laid a perfect cross and Owen headed it and followed the rebound to blast it in. SCP scored to make it 2-1 at half with a wonderful header from 10. JCFC quickly scored to start the second half when a long Mirko punt found Larry who headed it to Raouf, who turned and shot far right post. SCP would score to make it 3-2. The SCP striker would secure his second yellow with 20 minutes left.
Team: Mirko, Larry, Ivan, Vander, Jake, Bernon, Alan, Matias, Shawn, Owen, Raouf, Silas, Kris, Nabil.
JCFC 1 Hudson FC 3 at Berry Lane Park
JCFC didn't match the intensity of HFC and paid dearly. Going down 1 early and giving away a cheap PK to go down 2..JCFC scored off a Raouf corner and headed in by Owen. But HFC scored quickly thereafter. JCFC had four or five clear chances from 6 yards out and missed all, including a PK off the post.
Team: Alan, Jake, Shawn, Kris, Vander, Larry, Jose, Raouf, Owen, Nabil, Jaimi, Paul, Bernon, Silas, Ivan, Peter. Cash on the sides.
JCFC defeats Somerset Hills 7-1
Somerset team had no good answer for fast pace and quality soccer from the visitors side. After one of the early counterattacks Lee freed up Raouf and the ball hit the back of the net, it was over. JCFC outplayed their opponents 5-1 in the first half with Raouf (2), Lee (2) and Owen's names on the scoresheet. Game slowed down in the second half but JCFC team was able to keep things on the field under control scoring two more goals from Owen and Mirko.
Team: Alan, Mirko, Ivan, Jake, Peter, Jaimi, Bernon, Matias, Silas, Paul, Nasim, Kris, Shawn, Raouf, Owen, Lee Assists: Ivan, Raouf (2), Kris (2), Lee
JCFC 2 Carteret Portuguese 7

Paul scored again off a Kris pass. Then bad luck struck LLF when the defender back passed it into the goal. Larry found the fifth goal off good pass movement and Lee assisted a wonderful pass in. Larry scored his second of the day of an Anto cross. Steve Cash got in the action when he left footed a blast off assist from Jose. Larry completed the hat trick with an 8 yard header off a superb cross from Anto on the right flank. Raouf capped it off with a goal from 30 yards out over the keepers arms.
Team: Matias, Larry, Alan, Cash, Shawn, Nabil, Jose, Kris, Raouf, Peter, Silas, Bernon, Lee, Anto, Paul and Ivan.

Raouf scored two goals with assists from Shawn and Kris. Meadowlands FC scored on a corner kick wonder goal to end the half 3-1. JCFC put all worries aside when Raouf (assist Anto) completed his hat trick to make it 4-1 and then he worked a ball into Nabil who scored near post to make it 5-1. Raouf got another assist when he put a ball over the defense and Larry beat the keeper to make it 6-1. Shawn scored (Kris) the seventh and then another JCFC rookie Ivan streaked into the six on a Anto corner kick to make it 8 with a flick shot. Team: Bernon, Larry, Kris, Shawn, Cash, Jaimi, Alan, Raouf, Anto, Paul, Ivan, Nabil with Owen as coach.

Daniel our young Danish training player and the rest of the JCFC squad, big thanks and great job not losing any games to some really talented squads. JCFC 1 v Blue Stars 4 GSSL O30 League Cup Final
Just wasn't our day. Missing four key playmakers, the club drove all the way to Blue Stars home field. Blue Stars struck first and scored again at the last minute of half. A couple of weird goals in the second half sealed the deal, though JCFC fought hard and finally played really well the last 30 minutes, but too late. A goal by Nabil from Peter was a small consolation. Raouf hit the cross bar in the first half and Bernon hit the post in the second half and thus it was not meant to be. Congrats to BS. Team: Larry, Mirko, Jose, Peter, Bernon, Nabil, Jaimi, Kris, Shawn, Raouf, Silas, Matias, and Stan.

BERRY LANE PARK, Training will also continue for the summer. Every Wednesday 8 PM . .. Beers at White Star afterwards…SEASON IS OVER BUT WE NEVER STOP TRAINING. Training always, all the time, every Wednesday.
JCFC travel to Lincroft v. FC Fair Haven win 4 - 3
Jersey City traveled to Thompson Park and pulled out a 4 -3 victory to send the club to the GSSL O30 League Cup final. Fair Haven scored after 15 minutes but JCFC equalized when Stan laid off a pass to Lee who blasted it past the keeper from 22 yards outside straight away. 1 - 1 halftime. JCFC stormed to a 3 - 1 advantage when Stan stole the ball and broke free and duped the keeper for the tap in. Lee also picked up a loose ball, dribbled through various defenders and smashed a far post shot from 18. Fair Haven scored on a PK and then a corner kick to tie before Owen was taken down in the box with 12 remaining and Shawn buried the shot. 4 - 3. Team: Mirko, Peter, Nabil, Bernon, Silas, Larry, Owen, Kris, Lee, Stan, Shawn with Sides run by Dario and Jaimi. It must be noted, the combo of Peter and Nabil filled in valiantly for missing starters Cash and Jake at center defense. A total team effort without subs in a very horrid heat.
JCFC 5 vs. Minas FC 1 at Caven Point
Newly crowned State Champs maintained their momentum from Saturday by swooping past Minas FC of Long Branch, NJ 5 - 1. Shawn put a solid through ball to Raouf who maneuvered into the box and was fouled. Shawn nailed the PK. Minas FC scored the next off a scramble in the box after a corner kick. 1 - 1 at Half. The second half Minas FC was blitzed by an up tempo JCFC squad. Dragoslav launched a cross field pass into the 18 where Lee finished it off. A handball in the box resulted in Kris putting a PK into the net from the spot. The next two goals Shawn tapped in a rebound and Lee (assist Stanley on combo from Raouf) dazzled his way through a defender and keeper. Team: Mirko, Larry, Jake, Dario, Shawn, Lee, Stanley, Silas, Bernon, Alan, Nabil, Raouf, Dragoslav, Kris, Chris L and sides: Cash and Jaimi

Jersey City FC are NJ State Cup Champions
Jersey City FC are now New Jersey O30 State Cup Champs. Spring Street FC scored on a rifle shot with 10 minutes remaining. But Jersey City never stopped believing. A ball found its way in the box where Larry headed it on and Raouf headed the ball from 8 yards out just over the keeper's finger tips into the back of the net. From there, the game continued into another scoreless 30 minutes of extra time. JCFC missed the first PK and so did Spring Street. From there, 6 consecutive PK's were made until Mirko (who made a PK himself), saved the shot and the team rushed to the box to celebrate. An accomplishment well deserved when you look at the clubs JCFC had to defeat to bring the silverware back to Jersey City. It has to be noted, Owen was unbelievable, holding the ball up and putting in 120 minutes of hard work under difficult circumstances, I am sure Spring Street are happy not to see him again. PK made: Shawn, Dario, Cash, Chris L, Peter, Mirko.
Team: Kris, Bernon, Shawn, Jake, Alan, Mirko, Cash, Silas, Peter, Jose, Owen, Raouf, Dario, Chris L, and Jaimi as coach. Sidelines were Dragoslav, Juan, Speedy and some of our lady supporters who we love so much.

How JCFC made it to the State Cup Final
This Saturday evening at 6 PM will decide the new NJ State Cup Champion. Jersey City FC who was a semi-finalist to eventual State Champ Scots-American Kearny two years ago seeks it's first ever title v. Spring Street FC. Both clubs defeated four very tough opponents mainly with solid defense. Jersey City defeated North Jersey US Division Champ Clarkestown and former State Champ (2013) NJ Lions in the fall. Then JCFC defeated 2015 North Jersey World Division Champ Ramapo 1-0 in Clifton before defeating Jersey Shore Boca 2-1 at Caven Point.
JCFC 2 and Jersey Shore Boca 1 - faces FC Spring Street
JCFC caught Boca cold in the first 20 minutes on a Shawn goal assisted by Raouf in the box and then a beauty of a free kick by Jose from 25 yards out sealed the deal in a wild affair. Boca moved the ball well in the second half though JCFC had the better clear cut chances. A late goal by Boca with five minutes didn't provide the guests enough time to equalize. JCFC face FC Spring Street whom defeated FC Fair Haven 1 - 0 for the New Jersey O30 State Cup Trophy on June 5. Location and Time determined by New Jersey Soccer Association. Team: Mirko, Alan, Bernon, Larry, Jake, Cash, Silas, Stanley, Owen, Nabil, Peter, Chris Long, Kris, Raouf, Anto, Shawn, Jose with Jaimi running the lines.
JCFC travel to Ironbound v Club Espana games end 3 - 3 again
Goals by Silas (assist Kris), Larry, and Nabil (assist Mirko) again couldn't assure JCFC 3 points as Club Espana scored a PK with 2 minutes left. However, the game ended controversially when Nabil broke through the midfield and launched a rocket. The keeper tipped it off the cross bar and Mirko followed in to head in a goal. However, fearing for his life, the referee declared an offside and later admitted so, "the other club is coo-koo". All is good as JCFC ends the regular season campaign in second place and will host a first round league cup game in June. JCFC rears its head to its most important game on June 5, the NJ State Cup Final. Team: Peter, Shawn, Alan (as GK), Dario, Nabil, Kris, Jake, Bernon, Silas, Owen, Stanley, Mirko, Larry, and Cash as the Coach.
JCFC 4 Hudson FC 0 at Weehawken
JCFC took a 1 - 0 lead into half time after Kris zig zagged through the Hudson FC defense and right footed a shot into the corner post from 16 yards out. In the second half, JCFC scored three more. Mirko found Nabil floating outside right and Nabil cracked a shot from 22 denting the net. Anto scored another on a turn around shot squeezing it past the keeper from 15 yards out. Lastly, Kris found his second when Larry crossed in and Anto flicked it past the defense and Kris settled the ball and then left footed a goal from 12 yards out. Team: Coach: Matias with Alan as goalkeeper, Jake, Cash, Silas, Peter, Shawn, Nabil, Kris, Owen, Anto, Dario, Larry, Mirko, and Bernon.
JCFC 4 Blue Star 0 at Cochrane Stadium
JCFC tacked on three goals in the first half and another in the second half while maintaining a clean sheet v. Blue Star FC. Owen scored off a wonderful feed from Raouf volleying the ball over the keeper from 18 yards out. Owen returned the favor and found Raouf on the left who rifled a shot past the keeper from 20 yards out. Then Raouf recorded his second assist of the game crossing with his left foot finding Shawn streaking into the box to smash it in. Kris put the finishing touch when he received a Silas cross from the right flank, taking a touch and then sliding the ball past the keeper. A wonderful job by everyone from the keeper to the forwards to the coaches on the sides. Team: Chris Long, Mirko, Alan, Larry, Jake, Cash, Silas, Jose, Shawn, Kris, Raouf, Owen, Anto, Nabil, Peter. Coaches: Jaimi, Bernon.
JCFC 4 Perth Amboy 0 at Weehawken
A first half goal by Jose was enough to capture 3 vital points in GSSL North. In the second half, Dario launched a missile to Raouf on the right flank who found Owen at the PK spot whom smashed it in one time. The third goal Nabil found Raouf who juked left and beat the keeper near post with his left foot. The fourth goal was misjudged by the keeper and Stan was able to score. Team: Cash, Alan, Jake, Silas, Bernon, Jose, Dario, Owen, Stan, Shawn, Raouf, Larry, Nabil, Peter with Coach Matias.
JCFC 1 Liga Flemington 0 - FORFEIT
Liga Flemington was not able to field a team for the game.
JCFC travel to Newark v. SC Portuguese

JCFC 1 Ramapo FC 0 . . . ADVANCE TO SEMI FINAL

Holiday Party 29th of December Lots of Fun
JCFC enjoyed the slightly extended 1 hour Open bar, appetizers of sliders and pizza, buffet of pasta and lemon chicken with potatoes and Brussels sprouts and desert. A cheerful night indeed as many of the JCFC contingent showed up looking sharp and the girls even more beautiful than ever. Contending for the crown of best dressed was a very formidable and most competitive group. Juan and Dario showed up as twins with the fine camel-hounds tooth jackets. Mark as always worked his magic once again. But this year, new arrival Jose finally knocked Mark off his perch. Featuring a dazzling array of color (peach pants and checkered tie), Jose brought home the title. Thank you to White Star Bar for hosting a great evening.

JCFC 2 Meadowland FC 1 ...under rain @ Caven Point
Two second half goals by Lee lead JCFC to their fifth consecutive victory. The first goal was within the first few minutes of the second half. Raouf sent a picture perfect left footed cross and Lee smashed it home from the top of the six with his head. The second was a long play in from Jake, Lee took the ball out of the air and struck the ball in from 15 yards out. A late goal by the visitors was too little too late. The conditions of the game was awful. A lake that covered the 18 prevented any JCFC opportunity in the first half.
Team: Mirko, Alan, Larry, Lee, Chris L, Kris, Bernon, Silas, Stanley, Nabil, Jake, Jaimi, Cash, Dario, and Raouf
JCFC knock NJ Lions from State Cup 2-0

One goal in each half and solid defending and dangerous counter-attacking was enough to thwart the Hudson County rivals out of the tournament. A very entertaining and well played game by both squads. Team: Larry, Owen, Kris, Dario, Cash, Lee, Jaimi, Jake, Alan, Bernon, Silas, Nabil, Mirko, Peter, Stanley and Dragoslav. Sidelines were Shawn, Matias, and Marino.
JCFC 1 Perth Amboy 0 at John St Soccer Park for 100th All Time

Everyone knows, JCFC has been around since 1999 and switched to Over 30 in 2005-06 season. Many memorable victories have been recorded on this website for your reading pleasure on Game Results. State Cup - JCFC downs Clarkstown FC in Overtime 4-2
A hard fought victory was earned by the boys in silver at Weehawken Waterfront Park. After going down by a goal early in the game, JCFC rallied back after Anton was able to poke the ball away from the keeper's feet to tie the game. With the score leveled, JCFC took over the midfield but was unable to find the winning goal forcing the game went into overtime. JCFC continued the high-pressure game and Dario was able to find the back of the net with a great volley from 30 yards out. From there on, it was all silver. Raouf scored the third one assisted by Kris and Kris scored the fourth one assisted by Larry after Owen stole the ball. JCFC will now face NJ Lions FC in the next round of the State Cup.
Roster:
Mirko, Alan. Larry, Jaimi, Cash, Bernon, Peter. Silas, Spillman, Kris, Raouf, Dario, Owen, Drago, Anton.
Welcome Baby Leon
JCFC is very happy to announce that Kris and his wife have welcomed Baby Leon into the world. He was born on October 22nd weighing 7lbs and measuring 20 inches. Both Leon and Mom are doing great. Dad also made it out in one piece and we think he'll be available for the game on Sunday. JCFC management has filed a discovery claim with the league to sign Baby Leon in the Fall of 2045. Congrats to Kris and wife, from the entire JCFC family.
JCFC 3 SC Portuguese 0
Behind 2 Raouf specialties, JCFC decisively controlled the majority of play and won 3 to 0 at Weehawken. The first goal of the game when Jose scored a free kick after Larry drew the red card from the SCP defender 15 minutes into the game. Assist by Shawn Spilman on Raouf's second goal (JCFC third of the game) sealed the victory.
Team: Alan, Jake, Cash, Silas, Bernon, Larry, Owen, Raouf, Chris L, Jose, Kris, Shawn, Dario, Lee, Peter.
JCFC first game ever at Futbol Liga Flemington results in loss
Two goals by Larry (assist by Anto) was not enough as JCFC could not hold onto a 1 - 0 lead. Missed chances and two goals called back forced JCFC into a battle with the home side. Result 3-2 Loss.
Team: Larry, Alan, Mirko, Silas, Bernon, Kris, Raouf, Anto, Lawir, Jose, Dragoslav, Jake, Tony, Coaching: Matias.
Club Espana 3 JCFC 3 at Weehawken
Goals from Raouf, Kris and Anto that took 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 leads was not enough to hold Club Espana back. Two 2nd half set pieces doomed JCFC. Especially a last play corner kick in the 90th minute. Assists from Dragoslav and Owen.
Team: Coach Matias, Larry, Kris, Jake, Silas, Bernon, Owen, Anto, Lawir, Shawn, Raouf, Dragoslav, Alan.
2014-2015 GSSL Over 30 A Division Champions
JCFC 2 v. Somerset Hills 0
Two assists by Anto finished off by Kris in the first half and Shawn in the second half was enough to start the season with 3 points. Something JCFC has rarely done in the past. The first twenty minutes saw JCFC hammering the visitors. However, the play needs to improve to continue the clubs success.

JCFC take their 2nd Lucie Bennett Cup
Congratulations to JCFC for capturing a third trophy this year. JCFC deservedly captured the Lucie Bennett trophy facing stiff competition under the beaming sun. JCFC pitched two shut outs but then surrounded four goals in a back to back game. 7 points was enough to win the group and face an undefeated untied Empire United. JCFC lead the championship game 2 to 1 and 3 to 2 but gave away both. However, it was Big Alan Kennedy who saved the first PK, watched the second PK rattle the cross bar and then saved the fourth PK giving JCFC the glory. Job well done.

Lacey . . FCD. . Boca all forfeit
Gentlemen
Our season has concluded with three home forfeits in a row. . . we stand at 42 points and first place. The season started with a bang as a back and fourth battle at Perth Amboy ended with a last minute loss. The first four games would have JCFC in ninth place with 0 wins and 2 draws and 2 losses. However, JCFC would win its next nine out of 10 games played, only drawing once. The spring season started impressively with wins at Fair Haven, then consecutive wins at home v Perth Amboy and Blue Stars and ending with road victories at Monmouth Red Star and SC Portuguese, both State Cup finalists. If JCFC is declared the winner of Over 30 A . . this would be four consecutive seasons as first place champions, two being in Over 30 North and the last two Over 30 A.
JCFC host Lacey at Weehawken 9 AM 6-7-2015 POSTPONED..BUT WE ARE TRAINING
Cash, Jake, Kris, Raouf, Alan, Brian with Owen, Eric, Larry, Tony and Dragoslav . . June 7, 2015 at Weehawken Waterfront Park.
Lacey could not field a team and will forfeit, but JCFC still used the field to enjoy a scrimmage, SO…..we scrimmaged 8 v 8 on a beautiful sunday morning.
JCFC 4 at SC Portuguese 1 at Ironbound Stadium
JCFC continued its winning ways this spring with another hard fought victory v. a talented and dangerous SC Portuguese club. JCFC scored when Kris found Raouf at the edge of the box and Raouf skillfully placed it into the back of the net. SCP desperate to draw the game even pressured...when 17 found himself alone inside the six...but was denied by a brilliant save by Mirko...not once but twice...And then just prior to half time, Silas passed to Lawir who passed to Kris who put a perfect ball into space to Larry who beat the keeper. 2-0 Half. JCFC increased its margin when Larry found Lee who tap danced around the defense and scored left footed. Kris put the game out of reach when his shot deflected off the defender and went right through the keepers legs. 4-1 win. Juan "Gaffer" Hidalgo played in his last game, going out in style, taking a foul, committing a foul, and nearly scoring in his 15 minutes of duty. Juan ran the sidelines most games the last three or four years, sacrificing playing time to ensure the club progressed . . . . the club was fortunate to his committment to this role and club, which spans many years.
Team: Mirko, Alan, Jake, Silas, Larry, Tony, Raouf, Shawn, Cash, Kris, Dragoslav, Lee, Jose, Eric, Juan, Lawir.

JCFC travels to Manasquan, looks to continue streak
It was a beautiful sunday morning, and the men from JCFC drove down to the shore looking to continue their winning spring campaign. By all accounts, seems Lawir was the first one down to the Atlantic Club. Impressive.
The game did not start off well for City, as at the 3:45 mark, Monmouth striker got free on a corner and headed the ball into the back of the net. Their short lived joy was not to last, as the mistake was paid back when a Silas throw found Kris, who moved it forward with a no-look flick to Lee, who found Raouf on the opposite side of the pitch -- and as Raouf is wont to do, he looked for the shot and provided a beautiful screamer across the mouth of the goal to the back post. Eight minutes in and the game was tied at 1.
Monmouth did not take many shots onto Mirko's goal, but they did clog up the middle of the pitch making it hard for City's men to do their thing. In the second half, Owen found Lee who slotted the ball into the net.
With 15 to go in the game, Monmouth found themselves knocking on the City goal, and with their second shot of the game on target, they found their 2nd goal, tying the game at 2.
With less than a quarter hour to go in the match, the City manager, looking for the full three points, pulled out a defender and pushed the offensive. The last five minutes saw the Monmouth keeper knocked out of the game in a collision with Silas, as well as Owen pulling up lame as his his hamstring went. The ref added an additional four minutes to make up for the lost time, and it was in these last minutes that Cash headed a ball only he could find, over to Raouf who slotted it in to Lee.. a few lucky bounces and Lee buried it past the reserve keeper.
The last two minutes, City defended with all players behind the ball as Monmouth mounted one last attack. It was for naught, as City won the game 3-2 to continue the winning spring campaign.
Squad: Mirko, Jake, Jaimi, Tony, Silas, Eric, Matias, Drago, Cash, Spillman, Raouf, Lawir, Kris, Lee, Owen, Alan, Juan

JCFC 1 Blue Star 0
A Shawn Spilman 38 yard bomb over the keeper lifted JCFC to another three points over a top rival in GSSL O30 A Division. Kris secured the ball and passed to Raouf at midfield who one touched it into open space to the overlapping Spilman whom recognized the keeper was out of position and launched a glorious ball into the net. Great game amongst two great teams.
Team: Juan and Alan coaching, Mirko, Larry, Dragoslav, Geremy, Jaimi, Lawir, Spilman, Jake, Cash, Tony, Silas, Matias, Kris, Raouf, Owen, Lee.
JCFC 5 Perth Amboy 3
JCFC v. Perth Amboy Portuguese, always a classic and this was no exception. Owen scored mid way through the first half to make it 1-0. But PAP number 9 Pedreiras scored three goals in 10 minutes to give the league leaders the advantage. However, right before half, Owen was grounded in the box and Spilman put the PK away. 3-2 half. JCFC pressed early in the second half and Larry capitalized on a free ball in the box to even it up. Kris scored the fourth on a drop pass from Lawir and then finalized the scoring with a pass from Spilman, slicing a left footed shot into the corner. 5-3 JCFC.
Team: Mirko, Cash, Jake, Silas, Tony, Eric, Larry, Alan, Chris L, Kris, Raouf, Owen, Geremy, Lee, Lawir, Matias, Shawn, Dragoslav.

The game will be completed on December 7, 2014 starting at the 55th minute. SCP is required to finish the game with 10 men. Kick off is at 9 AM at Caven Point, be there 8:30 AM to warm up.
Lee Mulvaney scored a terrific goal after receiving a pass from Raouf to tie the game before halftime. JCFC totally controlled the game and was looking like the favorite to gather all three points, but the referee called the game after giving Sporting Club Portuguese five yellow cards and another red after the 50th minute.
Lee Mulvaney continued to terrorize SCP finishing the game with two more goals to complete the hat trick. Lee scored to give JCFC the early lead, but SCP fought back and scored. With five minutes remaining, Lee scooted near post and volleyed in Lawir's cross from the left flank to reward JCFC with the three points. Drago and Silas joined the club from the first part of the game and Juan finished up as keeper replacing Mirko. JCFC 3 SCP 2

JCFC 3 and Lacey Americanos 1
An executive order from city hall to bring three points back to Jersey City was carried out by JCFC. Lacey scored within five minutes on an own goal. But then JCFC gained its footing and took control of the first half. Owen was tripped up by the goalie in the box and Kris put the PK away. Minutes later, Larry followed a Kris shot that was blocked by the keeper and he crushed it home from six. Then it was Seba's turn to score when he collected his own rebound and put it in for the final score of the contest. Lacey put the pressure on in the second half, but JCFC and Mirko prevented the net from being compromised.
Team: Mirko, Jake, Jaimi, Eric, Matias, Larry, Owen, Dragoslav, Kris, Raouf, Sebastian, Cash, Silas and Lee performing an outstanding job on the lines.
JCFC and NYC Marathon
Carlos Fighetti and Silas Clark both raced and completed the NYC Marathon on November 2, 2014. Carlos timed in at 4 hours 30 minutes while the much younger and less grey-haired Silas finished in 3 hours and 15 minutes. It seems though Silas was probably tracking the very hot Caroline Wozniacki who finished 11 minutes behind him. Congratulations to both JCFC members.
JCFC moves forward in State Cup 4 to 0 over Parsippany Blues
The wind howled and the cold is here to stay but JCFC continued its recent fine form by registering a 4 to 0 victory at Parsippany Blues on Smith Field. Owen assisted on Kris' goal to open the scoring. Owen scored from a Shawn delivery …. and Sebastian scored the final goal of the first half. Shawn scored the fourth and final goal on an assist by Kris.
Team: Mirko, Juan, Larry, Jaimi, Eric, Matias, Shawn, Raouf, Kris, Owen, Lawir, Dario, Cash, Tony, Geremy, Dragoslav.
JCFC 5 and FC Dynamo 1
Jersey City FC gained 3 points today away at FC Dynamo in Milltown, NJ winning 5 to 1. JCFC scored first when Owen knocked it in off his head on a Kris corner kick. After FCD tied it up on a wonder goal, JCFC struggled. The scoring came quick after Dynamo tied the score 1 to 1. But after Kris scored with his left foot from a Sebastian assist, Raouf blasted a goal from 25 yards out when Kris laid off a nice pass. The fourth goal was delivered off Mirko's foot finding Owen who beat the defense and scored. The fifth goal was a terrific build up with crisp passing and finished by Lawir from Raouf. A superlative display of technical skill by the offense in those last 20 minutes of the first half.
Team: Mirko, Jaimi, Jake, Eric, Larry, Owen, Kris, Dragoslav, Shawn, Lawir, Silas, Matias, Sebastian, Raouf, Juan and sideline help with Cash and Tony and the Hidalgo's!
JCFC 1 Real City 1
Real City scored first on a PK and Jersey City FC tied it up in the second half when Drago supplied a pass toward Owen who finished it cleanly. A hard fought game that saw JCFC control the first 20 minutes beautifully but without reward.
Team: Juan, Mirko, Larry, Tony, Matias, Eric, Jaimi, Silas, Raouf, Dragoslav, Kris, Shawn, Geremy, Kris, Dario, Owen, Seba, Lawir.
We got that W!
A short handed and not quite 100% fit JCFC traveled down the Garden State Parkway once again this season, this time to face Blue Star at their home field in Piscataway.
Blue Star came out firing on all cylinders and banged two shots off the post within the first ten minutes of the game. However, JCFC slowly settled in and began finding space and closing gaps.
The opening goal came from Raouf when he received a bouncing ball from the Seba in midfield and chipped the on-rushing goalie from the eighteen yard box.
Blue Star did not give up and was able to tie the game on a long shot after a cleared corner kick. Not much goalkeeper Juan could do to keep the blast out of the net.
The teams went into halftime 1-1 and its fast pace continued into the second half. The game took a difficult turn for JCFC in the 70th minute when team captain Jake was forced to take down a speedy Blue Star forward just outside the box. The captain took one for the team, prevented the goal but also earned himself a straight red card.
This is when JCFC rallied together and began settling the game and applying our passing game. Some sharp passing led to a corner kick for the good guys and Owen got on the end of it with a well-placed header to give City the lead 2-1.
Blue Star increased the pressure but JCFC maintained their defensive shape and held off every attack and continued to apply the passing game to wear down the opponent. Nearing the 85th minute, a defensive clearance landed on the feet of Raouf who played a smooth through pass to a rushing Kris who took the defender to the end of the box, cut left and calmly placed the ball in the back of the net to give JCFC the 3-1 lead.
Blue Star got a late goal to keep it interesting but JCFC was determined to leave that field with 3 points. And we did! Well done City!
Roster: Juan, Matias, Jake, Tony, Eric, Seba, Raouf, Drago, Pete, Krys, Owen, Dario, Lawir, Spillman (running the sidelines and making a late GK appearance to help ease off the pressure).
Monmouth Red Star takes the 3 points from JCFC at home
Despite playing its best 1/2 of football this season, City was unable to run up the score on Red Star this past Sunday. Peter got his own rebound off a breakaway to put City up 1-0 at the half, however the team faced a serious headwind in the second half, came out flat and eventually paid the price.
The 1-2 Loss at home sees City with 2pts out of their first four games. Time to bear down and get some results.
JCFC: Eric, Jack, Tony, Matias, Juan, Owen, Kris, Drago, Raouf, Lee, Silas, Dario, Peter, Sebastian, Dario.
next up -- Away at Blue Start (Edison, NJ)
JCFC 2 at Jersey Shore Boca 2
Gentlemen, the club gained it's second point of the season playing a full Jersey Shore Boca squad on a very hot morning. JCFC started the game with momentum. The majority of the play occurred in the Boca half and Kris rewarded the club with a fantastic goal on a pass from Seba. Kris' left footed shot soared into the upper left corner from 20 yards out. Boca evened it up on a beautiful cross and one time shot from 15 yards out. The second half was just as entertaining. Boca was awarded a PK but Mirko made an unbelievable save. JCFC was awarded a PK when Cash was taken down by the keeper and he crushed the opportunity into the back of the net from the spot. JCFC was five minutes away from all three points when a cross deflected off a defender's head and unfortunately flew over Mirko and into the back of the net. Jersey Shore Boca look to be back to normal with their full lineup and to take a point and have the advantage in goal chances was a positive note. On the flip side, JCFC had three 1 on 1 with the keeper and walked away with no goals.
Roster was: Larry, Juan, Eric, Kris, Lee, Jake, Drago, Pete, Tony, Raouf, Owen, Mirko, Lawir, Seba, Matias, Cash.
JCFC 1 FC Fair Haven 1
FC Fair Haven scored mid way through the first half. JCFC pressured continuously in the second half until Kris scored a wonderful free kick from 22 yards out. Raouf almost scored on a head ball when Eric lofted in a beautfiul cross, however the FH keeper made a brilliant save and the score finished up all even.
Team Pic: Mirko, Drago, Cash, Larry, Jake, Dario, Eric, Tony, Raouf, Kris, Shawn, Silas, Owen, Lawir, Matias, Sebastian, Juan.

JCFC 3 and Perth Amboy Portuguese 4
A typical Perth Amboy Jersey City battle with Perth Amboy defending home territory at the very last minutes. JCFC battled back twice only to be denied any points by the Perth Amboy striker Pedrairas who scored three. Owen and Cash scored goals and Spilman capitalized on a PK. JCFC hit the crossbar once and the post twice and out shot the opponents 20 to 5...a classic game of possession v counter attack.
Team: Juan, Larry, Mirko, Cash, Tony, Eric, Silas, Kris, Dario, Lee, Owen, Raouf, Seba, Shawn, Lawir and Peter.

JCFC share Division Title with Jersey Shore Boca
GSSL has declared for the first time in over 30 a share of the division title. Jersey City FC and Jersey Shore Boca both finished the season with 32 points out of a possible 42 points. Both clubs are declared co-champions and will receive cups in honor of the excellent season each had.
JCFC 2 and FC Fair Haven 3 in League Cup Final
Jersey City FC fell just short to FC Fair Haven 3 -2 in Millbrook NJ. With a defense that never played together, JCFC found itself down 1 -0 when Kevin was goal side of the player and he went down with a game ending injury. The ball was crossed in the middle, shot, deflected off the post into the air and went straight back to the FCFH players head tapping it in. With Larry shifting back to central defender, FCFH got another goal off a cross that hit off Eric's leg and generously bounced to an FCFH player who one timed a perfect shot into the corner from 10 yards out. Though JCFC was down 2-0 at half, the club controlled the flow of the game and should have had two early goals.
The second half saw a shift in lineup to a 3-2-3-2 formation, with Larry and Peter up top, Dawit Eric and Matias filling out the back. A quick injury to Peter saw a major change. Juan went in goal and Mirko was put in at striker. JCFC pressed FCFH and was rewarded when a Silas cross deflected off the hand of an FCFH defender. Spilman calmly stepped up and placed the ball low to his right easily beating the keeper. JCFC dominated the half with crisp passing, excellent attacking and movement, but a Mirko rifle was barely tipped over the goal. That would have evened the scoreline. Unfortunately, FCFH finally found that important third goal off a corner kick that was floated in, bounced in play on the far post and trickled in. But JCFC did not give up. The club got a second goal with five minutes remaining when Spilman quickly identified Larry between defenders and lofted a beauty of a pass from 30 yards. Larry beat the keeper to the ball and chipped it past the onrushing netminder. Unfortunately, all the opportunties inside the 18 could not muster any more goals and JCFC was left shorthanded in the GSSL O30 A division League Cup Final 2014.
Squad: Mirko, Kevin, Dawit, Larry, Eric, Matias, Silas, Spilman, Dario, Raouf, Kris, Peter, Juan. Helping out the sides: DOB, Dragoslav and eventually Kevin and Peter (though Peter made it back in the last 10 minutes!)
JCFC advances to League Cup final . . . win 3 to 1
Jersey City FC advanced to the GSSL Over 30 A Division League Cup Final after posting a 3 to 1 victory over Perth Amboy Portuguese in dramatic fashion at Weehawken Waterfront Park. One way traffic the entire first half, Perth Amboy defended well. Zero-Zero halftime. The second half saw the same, JCFC dominated possession, but survived a couple of shaky Perth Amboy counterattacks JCFC scored with five minutes remaining in the game when Peter put a chip onto Spilman foot scoring from five yards out. Then Perth Amboy scored one minute later. Then JCFC scored when a deflected shot found Peter on the left side of the six yard box and he scored. Geremy scored a minute later when he chipped a ball from 25 yards out over the keeper (assist Kris).
Squad: Mirko, Cash, Dawit, Jake, Eric, DOB, Matias, Geremy, Raouf, Dario, Spilman, Kris, Larry, Peter. Bench coaches: Drago, Owen.
Johnny Leveron trains with Jersey City FC
Jersey City FC had the privilege to have a special guest player last evening as Johnny Leveron, central defender for Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the National Team Honduras. Leveron trained in his normal position as he was visiting family and JCFC former keeper, his brother, Luis Leveron. Leveron just missed the 23 cut for the World Cup as he has only recently returned to action for his MLS club starting 3 of their last 4 games. Only two players were aware of who he was until he was introduced to everyone after the training and he duly received a round of applause.

JCFC defeat River Road Rangers 4 to 1 to begin League Cup
Zero to Zero at halftime, JCFC could not compose themselves to cash in on their dominance. A rough patch to start the second half, JCFC capitalized on a corner kick when Kris glided a nice ball to Dario who headed it in from 6 yards out. The ketchup spilled out afterwards, as Larry found Raouf on a fast break to make it 2 - 0. Larry scored when a nice feed from Raouf returning the favor. The last goal was scored when Kris put a tap in from a ball delivered by Spilman. River Road added a late goal on a PK.
Squad: Mirko, Kevin, Larry, Peter, Spilman, Kris, Geremy, Cash, Dario, Jake, Drago, Eric, Raouf, Eamonn, Silas, Juan, Matias S.
JCFC bow out of state cup 1 to 0 at Scots American Kearny
A 65th minute goal by Scots American was enough to stop JCFC from reaching its first ever NJ State Cup final. So many chances without any result. Scots American possessed the ball but found it difficult to really threaten the JCFC goalkeeper. The home club had some dangerous corner kicks near the end of the first half, but JCFC was rock solid in defending once again. JCFC played quick counter attacking football and created excellent opportunities, but never finding the back of the net. The last ten minutes, it looked like JCFC would find the tying goal, but the rally fizzled as the final whistle sounded.
Squad: Mirko, Cash, Jake, DOB, Larry, Dario, Eamonn, Dragoslav, Peter, Spilman, Raouf, Silas, Dawit, Eric, Juan, Kevin.
JCFC 1 Perth Amboy Portuguese 2
JCFC was robbed of one goal and missed many other goals and the result was a shocker as the club fell to Perth Amboy 2 to 1. With the score 1 to 0 at halftime, JCFC knocked in an early goal when Geremy's cross from the left corner made it through to Peter who calmly slipped home the equalizer from 8 yards out. An Eric goal line clearance kept JCFC in sight of three points, but a late goal off a set piece put JCFC behind for good when the rebound was not attended to with 10 minutes remaining.
Squad: Juan as Goalie, Cash and Dawit, DOB, Jake, Eric, Dragoslav, Raouf, Kris, Eamonn, Spilman, Owen, Peter, Dario, Silas, Geremy, and Larry as bench coach.
JCFC 3 Real City FC 0
JCFC played a tough physical talented Real City FC and won 3 to 0. Owen started the scoring on a corner kick from Kris. Owen hammered home the ball with his head. 1-0 halftime. Real City pounced on JCFC to start the second half, but a goal was disallowed on an offside. JCFC then recovered and finally broke through when Kris dished a nice ball to Peter who beat the keeper one v. one. The scoring was done when Peter took the last kick of the game and scored with a chip over the keeper from 30 yards out. Squad: Mirko, Larry, Cash, Dawit, Eric, Dragoslav, Eamonn, Peter, Kris, Silas, Owen, Kevin, DOB, Dario, Juan, Raouf.
JCFC Moves into State Cup Semi Finals after 5-0 Win vs Hoboken 1912 FC
Behind goals from Kris(2) (assists from Raouf and Larry), Eamon (assist from Kris), Larry (assist from Eamon) and Silas (assist from Peter), City coasted into the State Cup Semi Finals on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Cochrane Stadium (Caven Point) in Jersey City. Despite a late start in an increasingly warm afternoon, City's fitness once again proved a key factor in the game, and Hoboken FC had no answer for neither the quality, nor the speed of the home side's play. Once Raouf pass freed up Kris to go on the breakway and the ball hit the back the of net, it was over. The chances came often, as did the goals. Great day to be City. Raouf summed it up well after the game, "You don't need to play well in a cup game, you just need to win it" Next up in the Semi Finals.. Scots Americans from Kearny.
Squad: Mirko, Larry, Cash, Jake, Eric, DOB, Kevin, Raouf, Dario, Drago, Silas, Kris, Peter, Eamon, Juan
JCFC defeat FC Dynamo 4 to 0
Jersey City scored four second half goals to take another three points in GSSL Over 30 A division. Owen scored on a break through pass by Raouf. Raouf then scored his first goal of the game on a corner kick melee and another (who assisted) with a beautiful strike from 20 yards out. Dario capped off the scoring when he striped the defender of the ball and calmly slid the ball near post past the keeper from 15 yards out.
Roster: Mirko, Cash, Jake, Eric, Larry, Drago, Spilman, Kris, Raouf, Owen, Silas, Eamonn, Dario, Dawit, Peter, DOB, Juan.
Also note: Serb-a-Que 2014 was a great success. The Dragoslav family were gracious hosts serving traditional Serbian drinks (very potent) and tasty dishes to the JCFC crew (Kris, Mirko, Larry, Eric, Raouf, Peter, Silas, Dario and Juan). Many thanks!!
Happy 33rd Jake !!
JCFC 3 and Polonia Wallington 2 in Friendly
Polonia Wallington shocked JCFC the first five minutes with ball possesion and quick countering, but the remaining 40 minutes was complete domination (though we escaped a miracle miss). JCFC scored three quick goals (Peter, Raouf and Geremy) to put the contest to bed by halftime. Polonia Wallington came alive the last 20 minutes of the game scoring two goals. Overall, it was a useful exercise to compete against a quality opponent.
Here was the roster: Larry, Mirko, Raouf, Geremy, Owen, Peter, Cash, Jake, Eric, Silas, Dawit, DOB, Juan.
OUT: Bobby, Kris, Spilman, Matias, Drago, Eamonn, Kevin, Dario, Mario

Christmas Party …another Great Time
Thank you to Anne Marie and DOB for another wonderful Christmas Party and a big applause for Brian "Manchester Bob" McDermott for organizing the 8th Annual event.
The distinguished attendees were DOB, Christoph, Jesse, Nicolas, Geremy, Owen, Larry and Irina, Dragoslav, Mario L, Dawit, Eamonn, Alan, Cash and Cristiane, Mark and his wife, Ross and Michelle, Alex and Athena, Eric and Andrea, Jake and Christine, Shawn and Julie, Shawn's twin brother Scott, Mirko and Julianna, Kevin, John Skeete and his girlfriend, Marino and Liz, Brian and Angela, Dario and Danielle, Sean Gibson and Maria, Kris and Alicja, Raouf, Nate and Ingrid.
Well, once again, Mark "Scissor Feet" Hollingsworth grabbed the title for best dressed, it was over the moment his right foot stepped into The Merchant. Nate gave it his best shot with the 1880's look, but the rookie was denied. Larry lead the toast this year, acknowledging the rookies, the old guys, the staff and most importantly, the wives and girlfriends. Dragoslav took the title for ordering the most expensive drinks, but we're certain he will make it up in April at the Serb-a-Que at his place. This year, it was Mirko who succombed to the Spilman twin switch. DOB kept the tradition of closing the place out on unsteady legs with many others as well. Happy Holidays.
Happy Birthday to Geremy S
One week off, but never too late, happy birthday to Geremy...one of our clubs newest players, he brought his technical ability and wicked right foot to the club this fall.
Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you to The Merchant for complimentary finger foods and appetizers courtesy of DOB and Anne Marie O'Brien. It was a good training session and the party lasted late into the night. George and Eamonn met the team at the bar after training. We had 9 v 9 and after Alex, Larry, Dawit, Cash, Par, Mirko, Mark, John, Sean Gibson, Matias, Alan, Raouf, and Marino, along with Mirko's friends Peter and Tjiana. There was a DJ pumping the music!
Again..Best Training all year, no work next day, celebrate the holiday!!
JCFC 1 Perth Amboy 0 at Weehawken
For the second consecutive week, Jersey City FC scored a late winner and put up another clean sheet. The wind whipped around Weehawken Waterfront Park (23 degrees F at game time) , but both teams played a good game. Surprisingly, JCFC controlled the first half up against the wind and Perth Amboy was very dangerous for a twenty minute spell in the second half, but it was JCFC who scored when Kris back heeled to Owen who hit a solid low shot near post with fifteen minutes left in the game.
Roster: Mirko, Cash, Jake, Larry, Eric, DOB, Matias, Kris, Drago, Eamonn, Geremy, Raouf, Shawn, Roman, Dawit, and Owen.
Notes: It was another stellar defensive performance and goalkeeper Mirko has now allowed only 1 goal in the last four games (Ballyowen, River Road, FC Fair Haven and Perth Amboy). Very impressive. JCFC will go into the break with 6 wins, 2 drawn and 1 loss and in first place with five GSSL A League games in the spring 2014 remaining.
JCFC repeat 1 to 0 victory over FC Fair Haven
Jersey City FC continued to keep pace amongst the GSSL Over 30 A League leaders with a dramatic and tough victory over a very good FC Fair Haven squad. Jersey City FC dodged some good FCFH corner kicks in the first half to keep the score 0-0 at half. JCFC played most of the game in FCFH half, but FCFH was very dangerous in counter and free kicks. With five minutes remaining, FCFH was on the attack and a ball that went over the endline was kept in play by an FCFH forward, which created a good opportunity, but the close range shot was blocked, the ball broke for JCFC who countered quickly when a forty yard cross the field pass from Dario found Owen wide left at midfield, who then passed it to Raouf who juked one way and then fired a low crisp shot with his left foot from 16 yards out hitting the post and bouncing in.
Squad: Jake ran the sidelines, Larry, Eric (who is now familiar with the NJ State Police), Cash, DOB, Kevin, Mirko, Drago, Kris, Dario, Mario, Raouf, Owen, and Geremy.
JCFC 6 River Road Rangers 1 at Weehawken Waterfront Park
JCFC scored three goals in each half and captured its fourth victory in GSSL A League by a score of 6 - 1 over River Road Rangers. Owen netted the first two goals. Owen pressured the goalie who coughed it up and Owen put the ball in with his left foot. Owen got his second of the game on a through pass from Dario. Kris finished the first half scoring by belting a left footed shot assisted by Owen. JCFC gifted an early goal to River Road, but quickly found its footing when Geremy put a perfect through ball to the left with Larry overlapping. Larry took one touch and smashed it home near upper post. Dario scored on a PK when Raouf was tackled inside the box and Kris added another when Raouf found him drifting left inside the box and Kris scored.
Roster: Mirko, Cash, Eamonn, Eric, Larry, Spilman, Geremy, Dario, Kris, Drago, Owen and Raouf.
Kris ...Happy Birthday !
Kris is celebrating his birthday in Poland this week, his 32nd. Kris joined JCFC about a year ago and he has been an excellent player and even better colleague and we are fortunate to have Kris in the club. So far this year, he scored the game winner v. FC Fair Haven and then scored a dramatic header at Boca to tie the game near the very end.

JCFC 2 Ballyowen 0 in OT in NJ State Cup to advance
Jersey City FC traveled to Ballyowen Golf Course to play the 2011 and 2012 NJ State Cup Champion Ballyowen FC. The pitch was in perfect condition. With the wind advantage in the first half, Ballyowen was forcing the issue. A couple of unbelievable saves by Mirko and a goal line clearance from Cash preserved a 0-0 half. JCFC did have two golden opportunities, but could not capitalize. JCFC did much better with the wind in the second half. Ballyowen only had one or two chances in the second half. The game ended 0-0. Two minutes into the first overtime, Kevin subbed in for Eric on a Ballyowen corner kick. A Ballyowen player smashed the ball with his head toward the upper corner. Kevin holding his post position, cleared it out of danger with his head, saving a certain goal. Five minutes into the first overtime, Cash was shown a straight red when he brought down the striker. Ballyowen pressed but was unsuccessful in securing a lead. JCFC maintained its composure and shape and held the score 0-0 at the end of the first OT. During the second OT, JCFC began to take the game to the hosts and Owen found Raouf at the top of the 18. Raouf juked and crushed it into the net with his left foot. Five minutes later, Shawn tipped the ball to Mario, who flicked the ball past the defender, bursted into the Ballyowen side and outpaced the defense beating the keeper one on one to capture the victory.
Roster: Mirko, Larry, Cash, Jake, Eric, Shawn, Mario, Dario, Drago, Eamonn, Owen, Raouf, Roman, Kevin, Geremy.
Putting the Pub back in Jersey City

Congratulations on Matias Sendon's first cap with JCFC. The Argentine international started at right midfield and really played very well and gave JCFC good passing options and some tough defense.

The year prior, JCFC competed in the GSSL O30 A Division, finishing third place out of 10 teams and the year prior, JCFC won the GSSL O30 B League and B Cup. Lucy Bennett Tournament No Trophy this Year
We had the following players: Larry, Juan, Mirko, Ochuko, Geremy, Lawir, Jake, Drago, Brian, Roman, Shesh, Sebastian S, Owen, Divine (Lawir's guest) and Dominick (Owen's guest)
JCFC once again competed in the annual Lucy Bennett soccer tournament. Wearing yellow with white shorts/socks, JCFC started the day with a draw against F30. F30 scored first, but Sebastian equalized. The second game was our arch-rivals from last year, Empire United (last years finalists). Empire won their first game 4 to 0. So JCFC could not afford another draw. JCFC scored two early goals to take a 2 to 0 halftime lead and then JCFC struck within the first 30 seconds of the second half on a goal by Dominick. The final score was 3 to 1. In our third game, JCFC needed another 3 points to secure first place as F30 drew 2 to 2 against FC Slovan Byram. JCFC again scored the first three goals against FC Slovan Byram and cruised to victory 3 to 1. Owen scored the third goal and decided to perform some kind of cart wheel with a flip included. Thus, JCFC won the division. Now it was right on to the semi-final with only 15 minutes rest against a pretty good Hillsborough United who rested for over an hour. Hillsborough came out flying with high pressure. Hillsborough scored on what appeared to be an egrigious offside. But JCFC evened it before half time when Drago took a wonderful free kick that found Roman's head and nodded it in the far post. However, bad luck struck with five minutes remaining in the game when a PK was awarded to Hillsborough and they scored and held off a late JCFC rally to win 2 to 1 and advance to the final, where they eventually lost in a shoot-out to GASSCB FC.

Beckett's on Stone Street and Champions League
JCFC hosted the Champions League Final at Beckett's on Stone Street in the Financial District NYC this past Saturday May 25. We had a good crowd and the place was packed. Jake and Christine, along with Simon and Anaka, Cash, Larry, Eamonn, Gerald, Brian, Eric, Alan, Goose, John, and Eric's friend was there to enjoy the festivities.
Trainings at Grand Street
500 Grand Street is located underneath the NJ Turnpike Extension in downtown Jersey City The field is astro-turf. Our training mainly consist of 12 v 12 or less with at least 1 goalie. Training is all year round except for Holiday season in December/January.
A reminder: The remaining Wednesday sessions are now reserved for JCFC members, past members and associates. People who play for other clubs are not permitted, unless authorized, so please ask if and we will definitely consider it. Full time associates can pay 50 dollars to train for the entire year (Aug 2013). Others who may randomly show up will have to pay 10 dollars. The club reserves the right to deny anyone to train with the club. IF YOU ARE NOT THERE WHEN SQUADS ARE CHOSEN, YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL THE HALF TIME BREAK. Thank you.
Associate List: We will update our associate list in August 2013. From now on, training is free until then when we decide the traveling Sunday squad. If you wish to be on the associate list, please inquire by showing up on Wednesday 8 PM or emailing JCFCO30NJ@aol.com
Monmouth Red Star topple 9 man JCFC
Anyone who did not attend this Sunday's League Cup 2013 game should thank the nine who did as they represented JCFC proudly (we have never forfeited a game because we could not field a squad). JCFC used the old yellow kits and nine men fought hard to keep the score low vs. an experienced and highly skilled Monmouth Red Star squad. Obviously, it was one way traffic, but JCFC nearly scored off a set piece and had about four or five shots toward goal. Monmouth scored once in each half to capture the three points, but not without frustration as JCFC was discipline in their shape (as noted throughout the contest by MRS players) preventing any real breakdowns. The lineup was set at Larry and Eamonn central defense, with Kevin and DOB wide, Jake, Shawn and Roman in the middle and Eric up top and Juan as goalie who put a real gutsy performance at a wet and rainy Oak Glenn Park in Howell NJ.
JCFC win final friendly, turn to Sunday
JCFC finished the pre-season training with a 9 to 0 win v UDL from the GSSL Central Division. You needed two Stato's to keep track last evening. Roman started at striker and finished the first goal, followed by goals from Brian, Larry, Eamonn, Dario with three or four, Shawn, Roberto and ..well, 9 goals is tough to track.
JCFC finishes in semi's for March 2 Benefit Tournament
JCFC competed today in a benefit tournament to assist Tomas Banionis daughter to her college fund. Tomas passed away recently in a car accident. The 7 v 7 indoor tournament was in Wall Twp NJ at the Good Sports Arena.
JCFC opened brightly v. Polonia with an early goal. But JCFC reeled playing its first ever indoor game in five years. Polonia tallied four to win 4 to 1. JCFC next opponent would be a very tough FC Fair Haven who lost 1 to 0 in their opener at the dying minutes while dominating their opposition. It was due or die. JCFC responded brilliantly winning 4 to 1. Especially when FCFH scored with 4 minutes left to make it 2 to 1, JCFC banged home 2 more to put the contest out of reach and Roberto put out their goalie with a knee to the eye socket. JCFC played Athletico United next..winner goes to the semi-finals as Polonia drew FCFH 1 to 1. So with Polonia notching first place, the battle for second was on. JCFC secured second place and entry to the semi-finals with a dominating 5 to 1 victory. JCFC then had to stay on the pitch and play a well rested JS Boca who took first place in their respective division. JCFC held the organized club to 0 to 0 with both clubs having good chances. But Boca scored with under 10 minutes remaining and then scored another with 5 minutes lremaining to put the contest out of reach.
There were some really good goals by Kris and Shawn and Roberto added a bunch too. A good experience for a good cause.
TEAM: Alan (GK), Larry, Roberto, Jake, Eamonn, Shawn, Eric, Dario, Carlos, Kris, and Gerald.
Holiday Party at The Merchant
Thee 7th annual JCFC holiday party was another superb success. Huge thanks to Dawit for making the incredible effort to bring many of us together for such a wonderful occassion. I believe this years Party was the biggest turnout ever in the history of over 30 JCFC. The ladies looked ravishing and we all thank them for attending and putting up with our passion for the beautiful game.
This year's best dressed has to be Mark...again, as he rocked the silk red shirt and sleeveless blue sweater with matching red ralph lauren emblem. Probably Roberto Bobbie McGrath was second and Brian now has major competition and we are certain he will shoot to regain his title as most dapper next year. And Gerald, definitely kicked butt with the 70's south american drug kingpin look, sweet! And once again, first to go home, well, Silas, as DOB took Kevin's money in a bet. Now if we can get Scott Spillman to move to JC, the opposition will be spinning their heads with the look-a-likes (imagine Jesse in there also!).
Of course thanks Ann Marie and DOB for hosting the holiday party at The Merchant.
Attendees were Silas+1, Mark+1, Larry+1, Cash+1, Brian, Carlos+1, Shawn+2, Gerald+1, Eamonn, Jesse, Dawit, Kevin, Sean Gibson+1, Sean Grayson+1, DOB, Roberto+1, Marino+1, Eric+1, Shesh+1, John+1, The 4 Danish Lads, Kris+1, and Par+3.

TEAM NIGHT OUT - - KICK OFF 2012-13 SEASON 9.7.12
Gentlemen
JCFC continued its annual tradition of getting pissed, rat arsed, bladdered, snockered, and pickled all while hoisting another trophy!
Festivities were at Surf City Bar http://www.surfcitybar.com/
A night to remember. Appearances were made by: Dario, Larry, Juan, DOB, Brian, Carlos, Shesh, Cash, Snake, Dawit, Eamonn, Gerald, Goose, Jonas, Speedy, Mark.
Friendlies and Team Night Out
Sunday August 26 at Weehawken 9 AM - NJSL 4th Place World Polonia Wallington 3 and GSSL Over 30 North Champions 2.
Wednesday August 29 at Grand Street 8 PM - NJSL World Division Champions Diyanet FC 3 and JCFC 1 - An experimental first half team (Larry in goal by default) controlled most of the play, but Diyanet had most of the shots as JCFC was gun shy. With a more normal line up in the second half (Cash's buddy Brian in goal), Larry and Shawn wide and Owen back up top, it was JCFC who was launching shot after shot. Larry's header made it 2 to 1, but Diyanet scored off some missed clearances. Diyanet had 1 other shot the remainder of the 2nd half, but JCFC could not plow through the very excellent Diyanet keeper (former Fenerbahce SK product).
Wednesday September 5 at Grand Street 8 PM - TRAINING BY INVITE Only
Friday September 7 at Surf City Bar in Jersey City 8 PM, this is an annual thing JCFC does prior to the start of the fall season. Everyone including non members, associates, etc...are Welcome Out!
JCFC wins Lucie Bennett AUGUST 18 TOURNAMENT
First, JCFC thanks the organizers, the charity and the clubs that participated in this unbelievable well organized tournament.
Now, how to describe the events that lead to JCFC wining the trophy and capturing the gold medals will not be an easy task.
First game: Empire United shocks JCFC. Empire United put it to a flat JCFC with some good passing, a very solid midfield and brute physical strength. EU took the lead into halftime1 to 0. But typical JCFC fought hard and finally tied it up on a Cash goal. But EU pressed and scored with 5 minutes left on a throw in / header. JCFC 1 Empire United 2.
Second game: JCFC plays AFC Imperial right after EU. Imperial jumped to a quick 2 to 0 lead. JCFC scores on a Larry goal. But Imperial score quickly to make it 3 to 1 at halftime. In the second half, JCFC make it 3 to 2. Imperial add another to make it 4 to 2. With 12 minutes left, JCFC scores 3 goals (Julian nailed 2) and wins 5 to 4.
Third game: JCFC confident off those last 12 minutes, brings it to Springborough. Roberto opens up the scoring and it never stopped as JCFC took a 6 to 0 halftime lead and was able to rest some key guys finishing the game 8 to 0.
Fourth game: This is a must win game. All UDL needs to do is draw. JCFC score quickly on a Larry goal. UDL quickly counter with a rifle free kick just outside the 18. But then JCFC tallies another from Shawn. 2 to 1 halftime. JCFC puts some breathing room when Larry adds another and Roman dents the back of the net. UDL tried to rally with another goal, but JCFC held firm. JCFC 4 UDL 2.
Semi Final: A real battle against a well organized Shamrock Rovers who used all of the pitch. Shamrock had an excellent net minder who would be tough to beat. With 5 minutes left, a Brian clearance had Larry chasing down the ball and beat the keeper to win the game. JCFC 1 Shamrock Rovers 0.
Final: Empire United just won their Semi 3 to 0. After a 0 - 0 halftime, EU scored off a JCFC own goal midway through the second half. It looked extremely bleak as time ticked away. JCFC had two very close chances and it was thought that would be it. But with the last play of the game, Brian launched a bomb and Cash crushed it with his head from 20 yards out beating the surprised keeper. JCFC 1 Empire United 1. Agron, Roberto, Owen and Roman nailed the first 4 kicks. So did EU. But then Shesh missed. Then Tim saved the next EU kick. But then Cash missed off the cross bar. Then Tim saved the next EU kick. Larry made the next and then Tim made a dramatic diving save and the team RUSHED Tim and in a wild celebration.
The club was presented with a towering trophy which now is displayed at The Merchant. Each participating player that proudly wore the JCFC kit was presented a gold medal for the achievement.
IN: Shesh, Shawn S, Larry, Owen, Cash, Brian, Roman, Roberto, Lee, Agron, Martin Larsen, Christoph, Matias S, Tony, Lawir, Julian, Eric and Tim as Goalkeeper.
Schedule: 10 AM v. Empire United 2-1 loss, 11 AM v. AFC Imperial 5-4 win, 1PM v. Springborough FC 8 to 0 win and 2 PM v. UDL 4 to 2 win. Semi Final: Shamrock Rovers 0 - JCFC 1. Final: Empire United 1 JCFC 1 - JCFC wins PK 5 to 4.
Eamonn Returns . . . . just not yet
Update: Eamonn is being held up in Ireland, something to do with playing with JCFC I am certain. However, all is well and he should arrive soon..hopefully!
TWILIGHT SOCCER IN WEEHAWKEN
This will be our fourth year doing Twilight soccer. We do it 1) for community service to encourage youth to enjoy and love the sport we love so much and 2) we get the field for free. No other club has this opportunity. It is only monday and wednesday evenings from 7 to 10 PM. All you do is help with equipment and drills, easy stuff and rewarding..the kids are great.
Guys are doing a great job for volunteering ahead of time, with the exception for the July 11 session... Really proud of the club associates like Marino, Sean, Luis, Brian, Lee..these are not even 2012-13 full time club players and they are stepping up for JCFC...

Cash only establishment...so bring Cash, Money, Currency.
OUR ANNUAL JCFC summer BBQ on Saturday July 21 at The Park Tavern was a great time. Dawit and Carlos excelled as BBQ captains this year and Goose was head of grilling. Polskas, Skirt Steak, Burgers and Hot Dogs along with some salads and chips were chowed down by all. Thank you again to Dawit, Carlos and Goose for putting in the hard work and making it an enjoyable event for all those who attended.
Attendees: Dawit plus family, Carlos and Juanita, Goose and Liz, Marino his wife, Cash with Cristiani and her brother Fernando, the Danish lads, Leando from Germany, Roman, Larry, Gerald, Snake, Seannie and son Julian.
2011-12 Season Wrap Up
JCFC looks to improve in State Cup and League Cup next year.
All Hail the JCFC Defense
But look at the other end of the pitch. JCFC has only allowed 15 goals in 14 GSSL games. Against Union Lancers, with a defense that has never played together as a unit, JCFC only gave up 1 goal in a quarterfinal match, and that was a PK. Union Lancers came into the game with the second most lethel offense in GSSL O30. They scored 49 regular season goals and 5 the previous week to defeat a 2nd Place Perth Amboy from the Central Division. Yet, Gary, Sean, Carlos and Brian with the help of Frank in the middle of them and Juan H in goal essentially pitched a shut out. Lets see, no Cash, DOB, Eamonn, Kevin, no starting goalkeeper Fredrik and we had these guys fill in valiantly and played lights out defense. Great Job.
JCFC top points in O30 GSSL move to June 17 Semis
As the first place team from North Division O30, JCFC does not play on June 3. JCFC has secured Weehawken for 6.10.12 at 9 AM. White Shorts, White Sox. We will wear the black kit that day.

JCFC takes North Division Title 3 to 0 v JC Utd
JCFC takes their 2nd crown in 3 seasons with a 3 to 0 victory over JC United at Weehawken. It was not easy, though JCFC dominated, JC United was tough and firm. It took a while, but finally JCFC broke through on a Shesh delivery to Owen who beat the keeper, but the ball went wide and Larry was there to tap it in. 1 to 0 at half. JCFC scored early in the second when a JC United miscue allowed Owen to charge in. His first attempt was denied, but his follow through found the far post. Roman ended any doubts to the affair when Cash put a free kick on Roman's foot and his shot squeaked through the JC United net-minder.
Congratulations on a 14 game season where JCFC did just enough to earn the silverware.
Team: Fredrik, Larry, Dario, Shesh, Dawit, Roman, Silas, Kevin, Cash, Brian, Sean, Owen, Gary, Carlos and Juan H., Snake and Speedy on the lines.

Streak Ends, Cash Sits
2011 Team Stats
After losing our first game in the Spring, JCFC went on to win 5 of 6 games and qualify third place in the GSSL A Division. Less than 10 minutes away from going to the League Cup championship. The Fall has been more successful. JCFC has 7 wins and 1 draw with 35 goals and 8 conceded. The 35 goals is by far the most productive in GSSL Over 30 League. The defense is ranked 2nd with 2 other clubs. JCFC has the best goal differential in GSSL Over 30 League. Overall in 2011, in all competitions, JCFC had 12 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw, scoring 59 goals and allowing 26.
Thanks are in Order
After being the Captain of the over 30 club for four years, John “Angry” O’Neill decided to put the studs to the pasture this past fall 2011. John was also an original member of the over 30 club. He anchored the defense usually in the middle or left side and sometimes goalkeeper, never short on voice, always tall on leadership.
This past fall 2011, Jesse Mallen decided to hang up the cleats. Jesse kicked off the over 30 club with Seba and John and a few others six years ago. Jesse contributed so much on and off the pitch. Always played with tenacity and passion and who can forget his yelp. He's one of those players every team needs, a player the other team hates. He scored 8 goals and 12 assists in five seasons with various injuries.
Steve “Speedy” Davison put down the laces a few years ago and now hands in the clipboard. Steve supported the club in all sorts of ways and still contributes with permits for practice and assists on the sidelines for home games. No one can deny his fondness for JCFC success.
Now another departs. Juan Gali was found on a board (like some of our other more recent players) looking for a club to play with several years back. He contributed strongly to our championship season and then to our 3rd place A Division last year. He always put out maximum effort in training and on Sundays. In two and half seasons, Juan scored 12 goals, none more important than the penalty kick to win the League Cup on June 30, 2010.
Some of the Greatest
Yesterday's come from behind victory was probably one of the greatest days in JCFC five year history as Over 30. To withstand the early devastation of being down 2 to 0 with the season virtually on the line and win 3 to 2 is a testament to belief. The season can still be ruined as JCFC really does need the 3 points to qualify for League Cup with certainty.
Lets take a look at some other great JCFC games from the past. First game of JCFC history, the club travels 80 miles to Lacey to begin an uncertain future as an over 30 club. JCFC wins behind a Seba game winning goal 3 to 1. Stato specifically recalls being a passenger in DOB's car blasting RAP music the entire way down!
First game of Spring 2007. Parma is in sole possesion of first place hosting JCFC. JCFC defeats Parma 2 to 0 as Eddie V scores early and Larry seals it late. Out of frustration, one of the Parma players is red carded before the whistle. Another has a heart attack in the parking lot.
June 1, 2008. FC Dynamo comes into Weehawken overconfident as they had clinched the title. JCFC stays even at half 0-0. But with a spy in our mist, we catch what the Ukrainians are saying. JCFC begins the half with 3 goals in the first 20 minutes and go on to victory 4 to 2, defeating FC Dynamo for the first time. Remember we lost a scrimmage like 8 to 3 also!
May 10, 2009. Cash's first game. JCFC travels to Cranbury, a top 4 team in A division to face off in the first game of League Cup. Otherwise named the Wind Bowl, JCFC with only Speedy as a sub, Juan H goaltending, defeat Cranbury off a Seba goal 1 to 0.
Oct 25, 2009. JCFC defeats competitor Vodka Jrs at Ramapo College in a see saw affair. Shesh's 2 goals and a late first half goal by Cash affirmed that JCFC was the class of the division.
Nov 1, 2009. JCFC knocks out defending treble winner (State Cup included) Hazlet Hoops at Weehawken by the score of 1 to 0.
June 6, 2010. JCFC avenge a 1-0 loss during the Fall against Fair Haven. Shesh's 3 goal effort propels JCFC to the title in Long Branch NJ defeating Fair Haven 4 to 2.
June 30, 2010. JCFC takes the League Cup title with a Juan Gali PK to defeat Middletown Inter 1 to 0.
Oct 10, 2010. Day 10.10.10 will always be known when JCFC had only 10 men with 60 minutes to play and down 3 to 0 at FC Dynamo. Looks like FC Dynamo makes the list twice. JCFC storms back behind 2 Juan Gali goals to draw 4 to 4 as stated earlier, 10 men and 1 substitute. Angry finished the game as goalkeeper as Juan H was carded twice and forced to watch the contest from the sidelines.
Apr 22, 2012. The week after losing its first game to Tatry (1-0) and relinquishing first place to Vodka Juniors, it was time for the Super Clasico to decide the balance of power. Traveling to Vodka's pitch, JCFC fell behind 1 to 0 at half. Vodka scored on a wonderful head ball from Kaka to make it 2 to 0. The home team was brimming with confidence. With 3 minutes remaining on the clock, Kevin's free kick from 30 out found Larry's head skimming the ball into the back of the net. JCFC then added another on the last kick of the game when Roman put Larry through for the tying goal. Two weeks later, Vodka would lose to Union Lancers 5 to 1 and JCFC would win its remaining 3 games to seal its second crown in 3 years.
Oct 27, 2013.
CLUB HOLIDAY PARTY 2011
This year's best dressed has to be Mark, as he had the skinny tie, basically, he could have been Miami Vice' Tubbs. This gives Brian something to shoot for next year. Best hat easily Kevin and first to go home, well, Silas, but he's a rookie.
Of course thanks Ann Marie and DOB for hosting the holiday party at The Merchant.
Attendees were Silas+1, Mark+1, Larry+1, Cash+1, Brian+1, Carlos+1, Eamonn+1, Jesse+1, Dawit+1, Kevin, Dario, Marwan, Sean, DOB, Luis Herranz, Oscar, and I think Snake showed his mug for a moment.

NY FOOTBALL CHALLENGE SUNDAY
Celebration Time!
Jersey City Football Club (JCFC) defeats Middletown Inter 1-0 to win GSSL League Cup and finish top of the league.
On a beautiful summer evening on the last day of June, the team from Jersey City prevailed in a close, tough match that saw both sides fighting tooth and nail for every inch.
JCFC got off to a strong start and dominated play in the opening minutes. However, despite pressing the issue and getting several opportunities the squad was unable to dent the net, with the first half ending 0-0.
The second half saw Middletown rebound. But, a mistake in their own box resulted in a penalty kick for JCFC. The kick was taken by Shesh, who was surprisingly denied by the Middletown keeper. Momentum swung in Middletown's favor for ten minutes as JCFC reeled from the save. In the 88th minute another penalty kick opportunity came JCFC's way. This time the kick was taken by newcomer Juan Gali who buried it in the back of the net with a blast that ended matters. The team celebrated the victory with drinks into the wee hours.
Squad: Luis Leveron (keeper), Carlos Fighetti, Stephen Cash, Dave O'Brien, John O'Neill (captain), Roman Zakamarek, Dawit Kibreab, Jesse Mallen, Brian McDermott, Gustavo Diaz, Mashesha Truesaw, Sebastian Perez, Luis Herranz, Juan Gali, Kevin Lynott, Sean Gibson, Larry Kurtz, Juan H.(coach).
Sidelines: Steven Davison (co-coach), Michael Burke, Mark Hollingsworth, Ed Vergara, Dario Brito, David Escobar, Elkin Alzate, Stuart Davidson, Brian Leveron.
The League Cup Trophy will be displayed at the team's "home pub" -- The Merchant, on Grove Street.
Congratulations to all on a dream season! Get some rest and see you soon on the pitch.
Portugal v Brasil
CHAMPIONS
GSSL B and League Cup 2010
JCFC ended the Fall campaign on a dreaded loss to FCFH in December on a PK (8-1 record). During the Winter break, JCFC practiced nearly every week and the result showed in a 4-1 pummeling of Union Lancers, a very fine club. Even through several injuries (Kurtz, Lynott, Mallen & Herranz), JCFC continued to fight through challenging situations and come up victorious. The only defeat of the Spring season was to Sportfriends (9-1-2 record). Huge offseason pickups like Leveron, Dawit, Juan Gali and the late Spring 09 rookie of the year Cash have benefited the club wonderfully.
GSSL A Division 2010 - 2011. Get ready.
JCFC TAKES COMMUNITY SHIELD
After Fair Haven drew Red Bank 2-2 and JCFC dismantled Fair Haven 4-2 on their pitch (6/6), JCFC has now added the Community Shield as the GSSL B Division TOP POINTS winner with 40 out of 45 possible points, finishing 13-1-1.
Now on to the League Cup Tournament. This is the most difficult to obtain and will require getting through Lacey and PISC to have the right to play on June 27. Lads, this is huge and we REALLY want this one.
On another note: In B Central, Union Lancers v. Perth Amboy on June 6. Winner clinches promotion and division title. However, if they draw, PISC can take the title with victories in their last two remaining games. A very close race indeed.
Additional silverware also for JCFC as we won the GSSL B North title, and accomplished promotion, which is voluntary, not mandatory.
JCFC started this over 30 thing four years ago. After our first year as a 500 club, JCFC decided to go the route of winning, while having fun. Winning = Fun. Our second year was our best thus far (until this year). We finished second in our group, but we decided to stay B. Our third year, we started fast, but key injuries, a loss to Royals and our Spring was ruined. However, JCFC did win it's first State Cup game ever and advanced in the League Cup winning our group for the first time ever and defeating an A division club only to get stomped out by Somerset. Our fourth year, we have ascertained our most points ever in a season in all of club history. We have scored the most goals (Shesh nailing 20 is an incredible feat), and the best defensive efforts as an over 30 club. JCFC knocked out the reigning State Cup champions Hazlet and now has two chunks of silverware under its belts. The playoff title is OUR NEXT goal.
RED BULLS V SANTOS **GREAT SUCCESS**

And furthermore, remember, take this advice from Robert "Manchester Bob" Brook: "There is anecdotal evidence that the high use of cutting agents is putting off some older users. You get three groups of people: friends, customers and idiots. For your mates, you keep the pure stuff. Customers gets it cut to 0.8 [%]. And idiots get at least one third glucose or paracetamol.”
