Founded by SJE Coach, Myron McGowan, the JFL operates independently as a stand alone league yet is competitively integrated for the maximum benefit of experience of the players, additionally the JFL fully supports any all positive youth football teams and organizations.

 Origin

Established in theory in 2009 and in reality in 2014, the Jackson Freedom League Youth Football is ushering in a new way to establish the “total child” method of mentoring. The JFL will be strong stressing, emphasizing, and insisting on a focus of high character for each and every participant in the league. Through structured discipline, community service, and encouragement of high personal conduct we want to positively change and mold each child to be the best they can possible be for themselves. “Everyone can’t be an “A” student but everyone “Can” become a positive and productive citizen.” –M. A league filled with and enriched by effective mentoring and coaching, as well as broadens contributions of youth involvement to positively impact and transform players and cheerleaders lives.

Mission
The JFL is to provide the youth of the Jackson Metropolitan Area with an opportunity to develop sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and strong character through participation in football and cheerleading. It is with full expectation of JFL to ensure that the youth who participate in the program excel on and off the football field.
