** 2/5/25 UPDATE - The schedule has been emailed to the coach / team contact that registered your team. Please follow that schedule. A day or two before the tournament begins we will post the schedule online and will update the results periodically throughout the tournament. **
This year we have 55 teams and over 110 games scheduled with all teams getting 1 game on the famous “Miracle on Ice” 1980 Rink. It should be a busy and exciting weekend.
Please read through the information below regarding the tournament:
- Up on the mezzanine level of the 1980 rink will be souvenir sales, photography sales, raffle baskets and much more. Please encourage your parents to stop by and check it out.
- Games will be played at both the Lake Placid Olympic Center located on Main St., Lake Placid, NY and the Saranac Lake Civic Center (SLCC) located at 218 Ampersand Ave., Saranac Lake, NY.
- The Olympic Center streams all games thru the following platform so please share this link with your family members that cannot make the trip to Lake Placid but might want to watch a game - https://www.tv.lakeplacidolympiccenter.com. The Saranac Lake Civic Center livestreams games played there thru the following website - https://www.golivesports.tv/
- Pins – It is not mandatory to bring pins to exchange but if your association has them it is always a nice gesture, and the kids usually enjoy collecting different pins.
- Locker room assignments will be posted on the tv monitors in each of the 3 rinks at the Olympic Center and at the Saranac Lake Civic Center. Before each game you will find your locker room assignment in the rink your team is playing in. Please make sure you look at the proper game time and division as many associations bring multiple teams.
- Although everyone will be in Lake Placid for a hockey tournament please get out and explore / enjoy all that Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and the surrounding area has to offer. If you need ideas of things to do check out www.lakeplacid.com or stop by Tournament Headquarters and one of our volunteers will gladly give you some suggestions. The hotel front desk staff are also great sources of information. Also, during the weekend Lake Placid will be celebrating the 45th anniversary of the 1980 Olympic Winter Games with some of the following events –
- Miracles and Mystery Comedy Show - https://lakeplacidolympiccenter.com/todo/miracles-mystery-comedy-show/
- Scott Hamilton Sk8 to Eliminat8 Frozen 5K - https://lakeplacidolympiccenter.com/event/sk8-to-elimin8-frozen-5k-with-scott-hamilton/
- Touch-A-Torch at the Olympic Museum – Friday and Saturday from 2 to 3:30 pm. Visitors have the opportunity to hold the 1980 torch and learn about the torch relay.
- Golden $5 Ticket Day – Sunday Feb. 23rd – The Lake Placid Olympic Museum will offer $5 admission in honor of Eric Heiden’s legendary achievement, providing an affordable way to explore hockey history.
We are looking forward to a great weekend of hockey for the kids and hope that they have a lot of fun as the season begins to wind down.
On behalf of the organizing committee, we want to thank you for attending our tournament again this year.
Thank you
