MARYLAND AFTERSHOCK 18U

We are currently looking to fill our roster for the 2025 Spring/ Summer season. We are primarily looking for Catchers and Pitchers with posible secondary positions. However, ALL positions are welcome.

Practices are held at The Turmont Community Park, 19 Frederick Road, Thurmont, MD. 21788

We will be participating in 4-5 USA / USSSA sanctioned local (MD, VA, PA) tournaments.

Tournamnet schedule will be added here in the near future.

We are currently scheduled to play our Nationals/ World Series in Mrtyle Beach, SC over 4th of July.

Spring/Summer fees are $650.

This includes 2 full uniforms (jerseys, pants, belts and socks) and a helmet.

Fee also covers all Spring/Summer tournamnets, including Nationals.

*Hotel/ Rental accommodation fees are NOT included.

Our Aftershock 14U Team finished in 3rd place at the MidWinter Classic in Hanover, PA!

On October 10, 2020, Catcher Lydia Shank cranked a three-run home run over the fence at 10th Avenue Park!

12U News

Congratulations to our Aftershock 12U team for two Championships and a second place finish this fall!  

Aftershock 12U won the Stingrays Fall Classic in Leesburg, finished second at the Madison Small Tournament and brought home the championship in the Crown Trophy Fall Challenge!

The 18U Orange team is extremely proud to announce that every member of the 2019 graduating class will play softball at the next level!

Seniors, Katie Adams, Emma Bedford and Caroline Dinenna have all chosen to pursue playing college softball.  

Katie Adams, a senior at St. John's Catholic Prep, has chosen to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA.

Emma Bedford, a senior at Urbana High School, will continue her academic and athletic career at Frederick Community College, Frederick, MD.

Caroline Dinenna, a senior at Churchville Christian Academy, will continue her academic and athletic career at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa.

18U Orange Coaches, Chris Healy, Joe Bowman and Mike Snyder, are proud of each of these young ladies.  They are looking forward to a successful summer season and are excited to watch each of these young ladies continue their softball careers in college.

Congrats to the 18U Orange/Healy Team for their 1st place finish this past weekend in the Fall Frolic Tournament in Chambersburg, PA.  The girls ended the day 4-0 scoring a total of 23 runs while only allowing 5.  Great Job Girls.  Good Luck with the rest of your season!

12U named 2018 MD/DE Class C State Champions

A huge congratulations to our 12U team and coaches for being named State Champions this past weekend.  The girls battled through the heat and won the 1st State Title to be held by an Aftershock Team.  Way to go girls, your Shock family is very proud of you!

Congratulations to the 16U team on their 2nd place finish in the Northeast Invitational Tournament. Great way to end the season!

Congrats to our 14U team on placing 3rd in the Stars & Stripes tournament this past weekend!  Congrats Ladies and Coaches!

Congrats to 16U on their 2nd place finish in the Wins for Warriors Tournament

The 16U team placed 2nd in the USSSA Open Wins for Warriors Tournament May 26-28.  They fought hard and had an overall record of 6-2 for the weekend.  Everyone played great and it was a great way to start the 2018 summer tournament season!  Way to go 16U players and coaches.

Strike Out Autism Tournament

Congratulations Aftershock 12U! 

Maryland Aftershock 12U participated in the Madison Small Memorial Tournament in Sterling, Va on October 7th & 8th.  The girls went undefeated, outscoring their opponents 60-17!! 

Coach Adam says, "We had an incredible weekend!  So proud of the girls!  With all the adversity we have had with injured players and sick players it's just awesome what they were able to do over the weekend.  They are working hard and doing great, so I'm glad they were able to see what they can accomplish when they play hard together as a team."

Congrats, all 12U players on a job well done!  Your Aftershock family is extremely proud of you!

There is a long tradition in the US Navy that the first crew to take a ship to sea are awarded a place of honor for all those who sail that ship from that crew forward. It is that first crew that make the legends, the sea stories, the reputation, and the spirit of the ship forever after. 

This was the the first year of Aftershock, these are her Plank Owners. They will forever be the example of what hard work, determination, and attitude can achieve. They will forever be all that future Aftershock players can aspire to, dream of, and look up to. 

To those of you who walk off this field for the last time as a player, you did it right, you remembered that little girl you were and left everything on that final field. You went out exactly the way you wanted to, winners.
