The Riley Field House Project

Rationale & Inspiration

Originally built in 1982.
Currently used by BHS Freshman and JV teams, Bedford American Legion, and New England Legends over 50 and 60 Leagues.
An estimated 4,300 people pass by daily (SNHPC Traffic Counts).
Valiant but unsuccessful efforts to rebuild in the past; Friends of Bedford Baseball (501c3 pending) founded in fall of 2023 in the hopes of knocking a Riley Field House renovation out of the park this time!

The ultimate fundraising goal is $250,000 which would be enough to realize the full potential of the project, including new sound system and scoreboard, as well as build a small endowment for upkeep.
The rough estimate of the project is $200,000, but largely dependent on several factors, including donations of materials, good, and services.

Triple! | Family or organization name engraved on permanent stand alone cast iron donor structure in various sizes:$500/$1000/$1500.
Homerun! | Special recognition in wording of your choosing on permanent 8 inch cast iron plate affixed to the fencing,$3500; 8 available.

Single! | High quality municipal park bench with permanent engraved plaque, $4K (4 available) or high quality municipal picnic table, with permanent engraved plaque, $5K (4 available).
Double! | Fifteen years of 4' X 8' signage along the outfield wall; 8 available at $10K / Each.
Triple! | Fifteen years of 3' x 10' signage on dasher board along 1st and 3rd baseline fences; 6 available at $10K / Each.
Homerun! | Fifteen years of permanent, year round signage on the back of one of the dugouts; 2 available at $25K.

Greg Rehm and Liberty Construction have donated the gift of plans and will oversee the project to fruition.
The David Gamans “Riley Field Snack Stand Restoration” Gofundme garnered $3,970 in donations in honor of his life and has been deposited into the Friends of Bedford Baseball Account (Feb 2023).
Timeline goal is to solidify half of funds by April 15 in hope of beginning the project in late May.
