New Year, New Bylaws, New Management in 2025!

After completion of the 2024 season, a number of NELBL managers came together and offered to help craft Bylaws for the league with the hopes of improving and formalizing how decisions are made for and by all managers. After several months of weeknight meetings, the Ad Hoc Bylaws Committee-- made up of Stephen Hardy, Joe Desiato, Timothy Koukos, Dave Vaillette, and Troy Barber-- presented the draft Bylaws to all NELBL team managers and spent a few more weeks working together to get the Bylaws to a place where a vote could be held to formally approve and adopt.  Once approved, the next step was to vote for officers that conformed to the new structure, made up of:

• The Executive Council (President, Vice-Presidnt, Secretary, Treasurer)
• The Board of Managers (currently comprised of nine [9] 50+ Team Managers)

The President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary are elected every two years by simple majority vote.  In order to stagger terms for leadership continuity, in year 1 under these Bylaws the Secretary and Vice President will serve a one (1) year term, and the President and the Treasurer will serve two (2) year terms.  Votes for new Executive Council positions were held, and the following positions filled:

• President: Troy Barber
• Vice-President: Joe Desiato
• Secretary: Timoty Koukos
• Treasurer: Dwight Barnes

We appreciate all the support from our fellow managers, and the new Executive Council looks forward to working with the Board of Managers to make this the best 50+ NELBL season we've ever had.  Onward and upward!
