The NE/SE summer soccer program provides elementary and middle school children with an opportunity to learn fundamental soccer skills through a non-competitive, fun, low-cost, quality community program. Practices are on Mondays and games are on Wednesdays and are held at Northeast Park (1530 Johnson Street NE, Minneapolis). 

NE/SE Soccer is a recreational league. Teams are split into four divisions and will be based on enrollment. The 6u (entering K/1 grade) and 8u teams (entering 2/3 grade) will meet Monday/Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 PM, 10u (entering 4/5 grade) teams will meet Monday/Wednesday 6:45 - 7:45 PM, 13u (entering 6/7/8 grade) teams will meet 8:00 - 9:00 PM.

Requirements for Play: 

      Shin guards (worn inside soccer or tube socks)

      Gym shoes (not necessarily cleats) are required to play NE/SE Soccer.

   If players choose to wear cleats, they must be soccer cleats rather than football or baseball cleats (i.e. no cleat on the tip of the shoe). Coaches are volunteers who have completed Minneapolis Park Board training. Teams practice on Monday evenings and play each other, round-robin style, on Wednesday evenings.  Our season will begin on Monday, June 3, 2024 and will end on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

***New age group 5u. Season begins Monday June 10, 2024 and end on Monday July 29, 2024. Program is on Monday evenings only between 4:30 - 5;15 pm.
