- The Foul Shot Rule changed for the 2017-2018 season:
- 2 shots after 5 fouls each quarter (FIBA rules)
The following email was sent by NBA Commissioner John MacGregor on Thursday, September 17, 2020:
"Hello everyone
I hope this e mail finds everyone safe and healthy during this corona virus outbreak. I have received several e mails asking about the status of the upcoming season. All we can tell you now is that no school gyms are being rented to any outside people including us. The Meridian Centre is also not renting the gyms. There is no time table for the basketball season so as of right now, we are not playing. If things change in the new year, we will see what we can do to try and set up a schedule. Until then we all wait and see. I also have t shirts that were to be given to the winners of the tournament but seeing we did not run it, the executive has decided to present the shirts to the division winners. I will contact the team reps for each team and try and set up a time to have the shirts delivered.
John MacGregor"
