Opening Day is this Saturday, 9/6!!! ⚽😀
Opening Day for the 2025 Kiwanis Soccer season is this Saturday, 9/6!!! We hope that everyone has enjoyed meeting their team and coaches at some practices. If not, you will meet them on Saturday or during the season. It's taken a lot of time and planning to prepare for the season, so we are happy that it's finally here! There is a lot of information in this email, so please take the time to read it all.
Logistical and facility information
- Due to the construction at VES, we are going to be using the VES field and the Voorheesville Satellite field this year. The only division that will be using the Satellite field is the Pee-Wee Division. Please be sure to check the schedule for game location before heading out to your game.
- VES Address: 129 Maple Ave, Voorheesville, NY 12186
- Satellite Field Address: 483 New Salem Rd, Voorheesville, NY 12186
- Field maps and location maps are located further down on this homepage.
- We are guests at the Voorheesville Elementary School and Satellite fields. Please keep it clean and pick up after yourself. If you see trash on the ground, pick it up and dispose of it properly.
- When at the Satellite field, DO NOT PARK on the roadway leading into the parking lot area.
- Due to the construction, our Snack Shack has no power and there is no ETA on when it will be restored. With that being said, we will have a limited number of items available during the season. Sadly, there will be no freeze pops this season.

- Cleats and shin guards (covered in socks) are required for every level.

Update on the 2025 Kiwanis Soccer Season!!
Thank you for your patience while we work on preparing for the upcoming season! This season has certainly been a difficult one to plan out. With that said, we wanted to provide an update on our progress for making this season a great one. All coaches have been assigned, teams were created, rosters are finalized, and the shirts are ordered. Only thing left is to get the fields painted and then soon enough we'll be out on the field watching the kids play some soccer!
You may have already received an introductory email from your players coach. If you haven't, please give them a few days to get that out. All of our coaches are community volunteers who have graciously given their time to coach this year. If you don't hear anything by Monday, 8/25, please reach out to us and let us know. When practices can begin, it will be the coaches responsibility to set up practices before the season starts, so please allow the coaches some time to pick practice days, etc.
Here are a few notes regarding the upcoming season. Please be sure to read them. Some of these have already been mentioned, but reminders are always good:
- Important Events have been added to the calendar on the Kiwanis Soccer website. You can check them out by viewing the upcoming events section of the homepage or by choosing Schedules at the top and selecting Calendar
- The website is https://www.leaguelineup.

- Our season begins on Saturday, September 6th and ends on Saturday, 10/25.
- Field locations are similar to years past, but we can only use 2/3 of the fields at VES. This means that on Pee-Wee Division game days, two games (4 teams) will play at the Satellite field and the rest will play at VES. The schedule on our website reflects this, so please pay attention to your game location in the Pee-Wee Division.
- Unless otherwise noted on the calendar, the season schedule for games is:
- Pre-Wee Division - 6PM on Mondays and 9AM on Saturdays
- Pee-Wee Division - 6PM on Tuesdays and 10:30AM on Saturdays
- Juniors Division - 6PM on Wednesdays and 12PM on Saturdays
- Seniors Division - 6PM on Thursdays and 1:30PM on Saturdays
- Please be aware that there are some days where Divisions swap or there are no games due to scheduling conflicts. It is important to check the website for an accurate calendar of events.
- Individual Team schedules have been created!! You can head over to the Kiwanis Soccer website by clicking HERE. Once there, simply choose the division and team name to see your team's schedule.
- You will notice that teams have SNACK SHACK DUTY on their schedules. When your team is scheduled for snack shack duty, your coach will be asking for a volunteer to help in the snack shack. Please consider helping!
- Note to coaches: Please make sure you provide a volunteer when it's your team's turn for Snack Shack Duty.
- Cleats and shin guards (covered with socks) are REQUIRED for every player in every division.
- Due to the on-going construction at VES, several areas of the VES complex will be closed. A map showing the closed off areas and parking options is linked below. If parking is full, you can utilize the St. Matthews parking lot nearby. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE CLOSED OFF AREAS AND DO NOT PARK ON THE ROADWAYS!!
- Click here: MAP OF VES CONSTRUCTION AND PARKING

- Pee-Wee games (1st and 2nd Grade) will be played on Tuesdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 10:30AM.

- Our season ends on Saturday, October 25th.
