PA Lightning Softball Mission Statement

We are the PA Lightning travel softball team.  We are comprised of a group of talented young ladies that play with humility, perseverance and a love of the game.  As members of the PA Lightning Softball team, we are not just trying to improve our softball skills; we have also set out to perform various community service projects.  We would like to give back to the community that has provided us with a strong foundation built on solid work ethic, pride, and faith.

PA Lightning takes 1st Place in the Fire Fastpitch Battle in the Burg Tournament

PA Lightning caps off their 2023-24 season with a 1st Place Finish in the Fire Fastpitch Battle in the Burg Softball Tournament.  The girls battled hard all weekend as they went a perfect 3-0 during Saturday pool play against tough competition.  They came to play on Sunday as well as they played 3 back-to-back games and withstood the heat to take home the championship.  The first bracket game was a hard fought win against a very good Sandlot team where runs were hard to come by.  PA Lightning held on to a 2-1 victory as time expired.  They then faced Ohio Quakes in the semifinals and came away with another tough vicory 6-3.  Heading into the 4th inning of the Championship game against a very good Thunder Elite team, PA Lightning Lightning was down 1-0.  The bats came alive as they struck for 3, 1, and 4 runs respectively over the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings to bring home an amazing 8-1 victory in the championship game.  The girls played impressive softball all weekend with their outstanding defense, impressive offensive display each game when it mattered most, and excellent pitching performances.  It was truly a "team" championship victory......Way to go girls.....we are so proud of all you have accomplished.

PA Lighting takes 2nd Place in the Valentines Softball Slam Tournament

PA Lightning finished 2-1-1 in the Round Robin Valentines Softball Slam Tournament after playing some very tough competition.  The girls played outstanding softball in every aspect of the game all day......pitching, catching, hitting, and fielding.  Every girl had several "shine the light on me" moments.......from homeruns, to solid timely hits, to great defensive plays, to outstanding pitching performances.  Way to go girls......so proud of you all!

PA Lighting takes home the Gold in The Bomb's Away 16U Softball Tournament

PA Lightning went 2-0 while yielding only 5 runs during pool play on Saturday earning them the #1 seed.  On Sunday, during Bracket Play, they beat the Butler Storm Fastpitch team 5-2 in a tough matchup in the semifinals.  They then went on to win a complete 7-inning Championship game against a very good Firestorm team 2-1.  The girls played outstanding softball in every aspect of the game all weekend long......pitching, catching, hitting, and fielding.  There were definitely some highlight real plays this weekend.  Way to go girls......so proud of you all!
