LEAGUES

PeeWee’s – Ages 4, 5 and 6:  The primary goals of Pee Wee baseball are for each child to have fun, develop an interest in baseball, and learn the basic skills needed to advance to the next age group of Rec Baseball. This is an instructional league with the main focus on teaching the basics of the game of baseball.  Coaches will work together in a learning environment with an emphasis on making the games fun for the players. We utilize coaches pitching (using tees for practice), with every player batting and running the bases each inning. Skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun will be the focal points. Games/practices will be on Saturday mornings at 9am. Each team will be assigned a practice time during the week (or every other week depending on the number of teams). Scores will not be kept and wins and losses will not be tracked by the league. At season end, all who have participated will be awarded with a certificate and a gift certificate to The Cow in Reisterstown (this is anticipated; a substitution may be required). Games are played in the Reisterstown area at local schools.

Fee: $95

Clinic - Ages 7 and 8: The primary goals of Clinic baseball are for each child to have fun, develop an interest in baseball, and learn the basic skills needed to advance to the next age group of Rec Baseball. This is an instructional league with the main focus on teaching the basics of the game of baseball in preparation to move into competitive play. We utilize coaches pitching, while teaching the players the skills they need to learn how to pitch in the next age group.  Clinic will begin teaching out's; balls and strikes will be called by the head coach for each team. Emphasis will be on continued skill development and game knowledge with sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun as the focal points. As the season progresses, kid pitching may be incorporated on a controlled basis.  Games and practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm, and games on Saturdays at 11:30am. Scores will not be kept and wins and losses will not be tracked by the league. At season end, all who have participated will be awarded with a certificate and a gift certificate to The Cow in Reisterstown (this is anticipated; a substitution may be required). Games are played in the Reisterstown area at local schools, Reisterstown Regional Park, and may also be played at Northwest Regional Park.

Fee: $100

Minors - Ages 9 and 10:  The primary goal of the Minor baseball program is to reinforce the fundamentals and rules of the game which were taught during the prior age groups.  Additional concepts (e.g.  only kid pitch, stealing bases) which were not previously covered will also be introduced. At this level the coaches will continue to focus on individual skill improvements and the basics of team strategies. While the main focus remains on skill development and the enjoyment of participation, players will compete, and games will resemble as much as possible the “true” game of baseball. Games are on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 7pm start. Games are played in the Reisterstown area at local schools, Reisterstown Regional Park, Northwest Regional Park, and possibly Catonsville, and Carroll County on weekends.

Fee: $115

Majors - Ages 11 and 12:  At this level, most players have gained a good knowledge of the game and have developed the fundamental skills needed. Coaches continue to develop individual skills and advanced team strategies. Players at this level will refine their skills. Games are on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 7pm start. Games are played in the Reisterstown area at local schools, Reisterstown Regional Park, Northwest Regional Park, and possibly Catonsville and Carroll County on weekends.

Fee: $120

Ponys - Ages 13 and 14:  Games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 7pm start. There may also be a few games scheduled on Sundays. Games are played in the Reisterstown area at local schools, Reisterstown Regional Park, Northwest Regional Park, Catonsville, Wellwood and Carroll County.

WE WILL DETERMINE IF THIS LEAGUE EXPANDS TO INCLUDE 15 YEARS.  WE ARE STILL PLANNING AND DISCUSSING THIS WITH THE OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT WE PLAY GAMES WITH.  15 YEAR OLDS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SIGN UP AS A 'STALLION'.  WE WILL THEN CONTACT YOU REGARDING THE PLANS AND WHETHER YOU WISH TO PLAY.  IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PLAY, A FULL REFUND WILL BE GIVEN

Fee: $140

Stallions - Ages 15 thru Senior in High School:  Schedule subject to change. In the past games have been on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Teams in the league include Wellwood, Liberty Road, Finksburg, Hampstead and maybe others. Some games may be played outside of the Reisterstown area.

Fee $140

Due to the competitive nature of this league and the skill level required, the league may hold tryouts to fill roster spots.
