The Summer Tournaments of 2017 have come to an end, as have the exhibition games and the preseason. The long awaited 2017/18 WCHL Season is here at last! The season will begin on Friday the 13th of October, 2017. Each team will play 58 games. The top 8 teams in each division will make the playoffs. Each playoff series will be in a best-of-7 format.

The Greensboro Giants have added forward Vincent Ferrdale from the Nanaimo Inferno in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2018 draft.

The Quebec Compatriotes have traded Joey McDanes to the Senators in exchange for Aaron Derolsiche and Peter Smith.

The Philadelphia Phantoms have acquired Kai Flenn from the Quebec Compatriotes for reserve players Steven Nicholas and Mikael Daversrov. 

The first ever WCHL Free Agency camp has concluded.
