Patnode throws a complete game and goes 2-3 hitting to lead Weare over Keene 7-3. Patnode doubled and added an RBI, Run and SB to his night. Jeff Wagner and Aaron Robertson added RBI doubles, and Brian Berthiaume knocked in a run with a hit.


Weare holds on to down Merrimack 5-4

Weare Post 65 held on to defeat Merrimack on Monday 5-4. Jeff Wagner and Tyler French combined for the win on the mound, and the offense was led by Brian Berthiaume who went 1-2 with a three RBI triple, a stolen base and two runs scored. Post 65 moves to 8-6 in district A.

Post 65 Splits Double Header with Manchester behind Gendron CG shutout. Aaron Robertson drove home Gunner Hagstrom with a sac fly to score the games only run in 1-0 defeat of Sweeney Post.


Post 65 rallies past Merrimack again, this time in 5-2 win

Weare Post 65 Senior Legion team defeated Merrimack 5-2 on Wednesday. Gunner Hagstrom got the win going 5 innings allowing only 2 runs. Jeff Wagner was perfect in a two inning save. Brady Philibotte went 2-4 RBI and played excellent defense at Shortstop. Tyler Gendron went 2-3 with a key go ahead 2 RBI single. Post 65 moves to 6-5 in district A.

Post 65 got strong pitching from Tyler Gendron and Taylor French, but shaky defense caused the lead to evaporate. Hayden Drew lead off the bottom of the 7th in a tie game with a single and eventually made it to third on a steal. After Leb loaded the bases intentionally with one out, Post 65 struckout to leave it up to Brady Philibotte who squibbed an infield single that eluded the pitcher and second baseman for the 6-5 win.


Post 65 rallies for 4 runs in the 8th to down Merrimack 8-4

Weare Post 65 scored 4 runs in the 8th inning to defeat Merrimack 8-4 in senior legion action on Thursday in Merrimack. Jeff Wagner pitched 5 innings off shutout relief scattering 3 hits and striking out 5 for the win. Tyler Santoro went 3-5 with an RBI while Brady Philibotte and Aaron Robertson added RBI hits. Post 65 moves to 4-2 in District A and 6-3–1 over all.


Weare moves over .500 in the league, downs Keene 3-2

At St Anselm College Wednesday, Weare Post 65 defeated Keene Post 4 3-2 on senior legion action. Cam Bergeron pitched 3 shutout innings for the win. Gunner Hagstrom gave up 1 earned run over 4 innings for save, including 7 strikeouts. Brett Patnode went 2-3 with an RBI. Brady Philibotte and Aaron Robertson also added RBI hits.


Big Performances from Gendron, Philibotte and Morin leads Post 65 past Leb 5-2

At Lebanon, Tyler Gendron pitched a complete game 5-hitter giving up only 1 earned run to lift Weare Post 65 Senior Legion to a 5-2 win over Lebanon. Brady Philibotte went 2-4 with a double and 3 RBI, while Sean Morin went 3-3 with 3 runs scored, a double and two stolen bases. Jeff Wagner added 2 hits and a steal as well. 


Post 65 Seniors take the Home Opener 2-1 over Keene

Behind strong pitching from Tyler Gendron and Taylor French, Weare Post 65 evened it's record at 1-1 by taking it's home opener over Keene 2-1. Tyler Santoro delivered the go ahead double in the 6th scoring Brett Patnode. Patnode started the scoring earlier with a SAC fly plating Carter Pike.


Gendron's shutout over Sweeney propels Weare into State Tournament

Tyler Gendron spun 6 1/3 shutout innings to lead Weare Post 65 to a 4-0 win over Manchester Sweeney Post and clinch the 3rd seed from District A. Gendron tossed a 3 hitter, striking out 2 and walking 1 while also adding a double at the plate. Matt Woodward went 2-4 and scored a run, while Aaron Robertson added an RBI single.


Post 65 bounces back with 10 run outburst in win over Laconia

At St Anselm College, Weare Post 65 used 4 hits and 4 walks in the 2nd inning to jump out to a 6-0 lead and cruise to a 10-2 Win over Laconia Post 1. Gunner Hagstrom went 2-5 with a 2-run triple and 2-run single to spark Weare’s offense out of the leadoff spot. Tyler Gendron pitched 4 innings for the win giving up no earned runs on 4 hits while striking out 4. Brett Patnode earned a 3 inning save giving up no earned runs and also went 2-4 at the plate with 2 RBI. Aaron Robertson went 2-3 with 3 runs scores and a RBI. Weare moved into third place in district A with the win.


Weare sweeps twinbill from Laconia, 5-1 and 7-4

At Laconia on Friday night, Weare Post 65 swept a double header from Laconia Post 1 by winning game one 5-1 and taking game two 7-4.

In game one Taylor French dominated on the mound and at the plate as he twirled a complete game 2 hitter with 15 strikeouts and went 2-2 at the plate with 2 HBP SB R. Noah Greene and Matt Woodward each had two hits in the game.

In game two Tyler Gendron went 5-5 with 3 SB and 2 doubles to spark a 17-hit Weare offensive attack in the 7-4 victory. Noah Greene and Matt Woodward each had 3 hits, while Carter Pike and Taylor French had 2 hits each. Brett Patnode got the win on the mound pitching 3 scoreless innings in relief of Sean Morin. Patnode struck out 5 and only allowed 2 hits. Weare moves to 4-3 and into second place in District A.


Post 65 roars back and walks-off over Sweeney Post 8-7

At St. Anselm College Weare Post 65 rallied for 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to defeat Sweeney Post 8-7. Brett Patnode drove home the tying run with a triple after Aaron Robertson’s (2-3 2 runs). Patnode, who went 3-4 on the day with 2  RBI and 2 Runs, scored the winning run on Matt Woodward’s SAC fly. Derek Goldrick pitched 2 innings and got the win on the mound. Jeremy Barss added a 2-run single for Weare.


Post 65 hits the ball hard all night long but can't find the gaps in 4-0 loss to Concord

Weare Post 65 could only total 2 hits in a 4-0 loss to Concord despite hitting the ball hard most of the night. Taylor French and Matt Woodward had the two 65 hits, while Jake Cole played stellar centerfield. Gunner Hagstrom suffered the loss on the mound going 3 2/3 innings giving up 3 earned runs, while Brett Patnode pitch 2 1/3 perfect innings of relief.


Weare scores 6 in the first and cruises to 13-7 win over Keene

At Keene, Weare Post 65 knocked home 6 runs in the first inning to cruise to a 13-7 win and moved to 2-1 in District A. Taylor French gave up one run and struck out 6 over 3 innings for the win. French also sparked the offense going 2-4 with 2 RBI and 3 Runs. Gunner Hagstrom went 2-2 with a double 3 RBI and 2 walks while Noah Greene went 2-3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.

State Junior Legion Tournament at Gill Stadium 7/29-8/2

The top 2 teams in the 4 State Junior Legion Divisions will square off in the 2016 State Junior Legion tournament at Gill Stadium from July 29 - August 2. This will be a double elimination tournament, with the winner moving onto the New England Regionals August 5-7 in Rockland, MA.


WJL Tryouts set for May 21st at Weare Middle School

The Weare Junior Legion baseball team will be holding tryouts on Saturday May 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Weare Middle School. The team will be participating in NH State Junior Legion Division A and play a 17 game regular season starting June 18th, with potential playoffs starting the last week of July. Players aged 13-17 that are from John Stark, Hopkinton, Hillsboro-Deering, Bow, Kearsarge, Concord, Merrimack Valley, Bishop Brady, Pembroke and Concord Christian are eligible to play for the team. Team fees will be $200 per player. Upon being named to the team, you will need to provide an official birth certificate.
