CVC 8U Silver/8U Gold (4/23) and 10U Fast/12U Fast (4/19) Championship Games host at Washington Wild Things Park

8U - Canon Mac (Main Host) (Gold (Top half of each Division) and Silver Brackets (Bottom Half of each Division) Single Elimination Tournaments - Canon Mac to Host as Many Early Round Games as Possible and Host Semi-Finals for both brackets. Both Championship games held at Washington Wild Things Park 6/23, Silver bracket 6pm and Gold bracket 8pm. Higher seed at each game has 1st option to host, except for Canon Mac games as main host they have 1st shot to host regardless of seeding. Each team should try to supply a game ball.

CVC Managers Meeting 3/30/25 Starting at 12pm @ Bridgeville Fire Hall
The Managers meeting was held scheduled 3/30/25 starting at 12pm in 1/2 hour timeslots by age group at Bridgeville Fire Hall, 370 Commercial Street, Bridgeville, PA 15017. We will review the rules with each age group and provide schedules.
All teams should send their manager or an assistant at 6u, 8u, 10U Slow, 12U Slow, 15U Slow, 18U Slow, 10U Fast, 12U Fast, and 15U Fast. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE RULES, NOT ATTENDING THE MEETING IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE FOR NOT FOLLOWING RULES.

CVC Spring March Declaration Meeting 3/9/25 1pm @ Bridgeville Fire Hall
The CVC March Declaration meeting was held Sunday 3/9/25 at 1pm at the Bridgeville Fire Hall at 370 Commercial Street, Bridgeville, PA 15017. The meeting agenda is as follows:
1) Role call - Avella, Baldwin, Belle Vernon, Bellevue Avalon, Bentworth, Brentwood, Bridgeville, Brookline, Burgettstown, Canon Mac, Charleroi, Chartiers Houston, CIT, Elizabeth Forward, Elliott, Etna, FCYFP, Greentree, Ingomar, Kennedy, KOA, Monessen, Moon, Mt Washington, Seneca Valley, South Allegheny, South Park, TJ, USC, West Greene, West Mifflin
2) Pay registration fees / provide rosters with players(if available now), must provide coaches info, home game info and no play dates . Link to Declaration/Roster Form

4) Roster / Draft Rules:
- Fast Pitch - You cannot have more than 2 out of school district players per team
- 8u - You must have 75% of players rostered in your school district
- Slow Pitch - You cannot have more than 4 out of school district players per team
- You must evenly split the number of players between mutiple teams for the oldest age of an age group. For example, if you have 3 teams in 10u age group you must divide the teams equally at the oldest age
- Use the players age per chart below to calculate age as of August 31st of the prior year (8/31/24) for Spring season
5) Ball Specs per age group:
- 6u Tball - 11” standard softball (rubber/training balls are NOT recommended).
- 8U / 10U Slow / 12U Slow - 11" 44 cor 375 compression
- 15U Slow / 18U Slow - 11" 52 core 300 compression
- 10U Fast - 11" 47 cor 375 compression w/raised stitches
- 12U Fast /15U Fast - 12" 47 cor 375 compression w/raised stitches
6) Welcomed new organizations to join CVC - Elliott and Etna for 18u Slow Pitch
7) Organizations that hosting playoffs. CVC has access to Washington Wild Things Park to play 4 championship games 6/19 (10u Fast (6pm) & 12U Fast (8pm)) and 6/23 (8u Gold (8pm) & 8U Silver (6pm)). Thanks to Moon Twp contacts with Robert Morris Softball Coach Jexx Varner, we are playing the rest of playoffs at Robert Morris University softball field 6/22 for 10U Slow (12pm), 12u slow (2pm), 15u slow (4pm) and 18u slow (6pm), and 15u fast 6/26 (6pm). Potential hosts for earlier rounds to be voted on in March Meeting:
- 8U - Canon Mac to host Semi Finals for Both Gold and Silver Bracket and host CM teams regardless of seeding - top half of each div play in gold bracket, bottom half of each div play in silver bracket
- 10U Slow - KennedyTwp and Robinson Twp starting 6/16. Kennedy to host semis 6/18 - Top 6 teams each div make playoffs and play cross div games 1st round
- 12U Slow - Moon Twp / Bethel Park starting 6/16. Bethel Park hosting semis 6/18 - Top 6 teams each div make playoffs and play cross div games 1st round
- 15U Slow - Oakdale and Robinson Twp starting 6/16. Robinson to host semis 6/18 - Top 6 teams each div make playoffs and play cross div games 1st round

CVC Spring Feb Meeting 2/2/25 1pm @ Bridgeville Borough
The CVC Feb meeting was scheduled Sunday February 2nd at 1pm at the Bridgeville Borough Building at 425 Bower Hill Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017. The meeting agenda was as follows:
1) Role call - Avella, Baldwin, Belle Vernon, Bentworth, Brentwood, Bridgeville, California, Canon Mac, Charleroi, Chartiers Houston, CIT, Collier, Fort CherryYouth Softball/Midway, Green Tree, Monesssen, Moon Twp, Mt Lebanon, Oakdale, Scott Twp, Seneca Valley, South Park, Trinity, USC, Weirton, West Mifflin, West View Ross, South Allegheny, Bellevue Avalon
2) Board Positions voting:
- President - Joe Boneysteele incumbent re-elected
- VP - Shawn Arlet incumbent re-elected

3) Suggest rule changes/clarifications to be voted on in Feb Meeting:
- DECLINED - 10U Fast - Stealing 3B cannot leave the base until the ball crosses the plate instead of when the picther releases the ball
- DECLINED - 10U Fast - Allow stealing of 2B
- DECLINED - 10U Fast - Allow Pickoff attempts, but cannot advance on an overthrow
- APPROVED - Slow Pitch - Players dual rostered on slow pitch team but also playing on fast pitch team must play in regular season to play in playoffs
- APPROVED - All Ages - Allow 4 callups from younger age group vs 3 currently allowed. Unlimited callups for 18u Slow.
- APPROVED - Slow Pitch - Allow a player to switch pitching distances once per inning. Change should be reported to the umpire.
- APPROVED - All Ages - If a player leaves a game early due to injury/illness they are removed from the lineup without any consequences. If a player leaves voluntarily for any reason besides injury/illness, they are an out each at bat.
- APPROVED - All Ages - A player arriving late may enter the game and be added to the end of the lineup at any time before the start of the 4th inning
- APPROVED - All Ages - If a team knows in advance, day before, it will forfeit the next round of the playoffs due to lack of players, the opponent will be advanced to the next round regardless if they win or lose to the team planning to forfeit the next round.
- DECLINED 7/1/-7/3 Championships - If we play fast and slow championships at Washington Wild Things Park we can only get June 19 and 23 and July 1-3. Do we want to play championships there so close to 4th of July or should we plan to play elsewhere a week earlier.
- DECLINED - Add run rule limit after 4 innings. Currently we use 10 run rule after the losing team bats in the 5th inning. Could be all ages or just 10U fast.
- DECLINED - 15u slow - Run limit rule after 5 inn.
- APPROVED - All Ages - Allow the board to approve double headers of 5 innings if both teams agree. For 10U Fast, innings limit for pitchers is 3 inn per game
- DECLINED - Slow Pitch request to remove the roster rules that oldest group must be divided evenly.

5) Roster / Draft Rules:
- Fast Pitch - You cannot have more than 2 out of school district players per team
- 8u - You must have 75% of players rostered in your school district
- Slow Pitch - You cannot have more than 4 out of school district players per team
- You must evenly split the number of players between mutiple teams for the oldest age of an age group. For example, if you have 3 teams in 10u age group you must divide the teams equally at the oldest age
- Use the players age per chart below to calculate age as of August 31st of the prior year (8/31/24) for Spring season
6) Vote in new organizations to join CVC - South Allegheny for 12U Slow Pitch and Bellevue Avalon for Slow Pitch
7) Organizations that want to host playoffs. CVC has access to Washington Wild Things Park to play 4 championship games 6/19 (10U Fast & 12U Fast) and 6/23 98u Gold & 8U Silver). Thanks to Moon Twp contacts with Robert Morris Softball Coach Jexx Varner, we are playing the rest of playoffs at Robert Morris University softball field 6/22 All Slow pitch, 15u fast 6/26. Potential hosts for earlier rounds to be voted on in March Meeting:

CVC Spring 2025 Kickoff Meeting 1/12/25 11am @ Bridgeville Borough
The CVC Kickoff meeting was held Sunday January 12th at 11am at the Bridgeville Borough Building at 425 Bower Hill Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017. The meeting agenda was as follows:
1) Role call - Avella, Baldwin, Bentworth, Beth Center, Bethel Park, Brentwood, Bridgeville, Burgettstown, Canon Mac, Castle Shannon, Charleroi, Collier, Elizabeth Forward, FC Youth Softbal/Midway, FC Youth Fast Pitch, Greentree, Moon Twp, Mt Lebanon, Munhall, Oakdale, Scott Twp, South Park, TJ, Union Finley, Weirton, West Mifflin, Seneca Valley, Monessen, Belle Vernon, California, Perry
2) Nominated Board Positions to be voted on in Feb meeting:
- President - Joe Boneysteele incumbent rerunning
- VP - Shawn Arlet incumbent rerunning
- Treasurer - Shane Franchick incumbent rerunning
- Secretary - Joe Bolton incumbent rerunning
- Slow Pitch Commissioner - Jim Schindler incumbent rerunning
3) Suggest rule changes/clarifications to be voted on in Feb Meeting:
- 10U Fast - STealing 3B cannot leave the base until the ball crosses the plate instead of when the picther releases the ball
- 10U Fast - Allow stealing of 2B
- 10U Fast - Allow Pickoff attempts, but cannot advance on an overthrow
- Slow Pitch - Players dual rostered on slow pitch team but also playing on fast pitch team cannot play in the playoffs for slow pitch.
- All Ages - Allow 4 callups from younger age group vs 3 currently allowed
- Slow Pitch - Allow a player to switch pitching distances at the beginning of a new batter
- All Ages - If a player leaves a game early due to injury/illness they are removed from the lineup without any consequences. If a player leaves voluntarily for any reason besides injury/illness, they are an out each at bat.
- All Ages - A player arriving late may enter the game and be added to the end of the lineup at any time before the start of the 4th inning
- All Ages - If a team knows in advance, day before, it will forfeit the next round of the playoffs due to lack of players, the opponent will be advanced to the next round regardless if they win or lose to the team planning to forfeit the next round.
- If we play fast and slow championships at Washington Wild Things Park we can only get June 19 and 23 and July 1-3. Do we want to play championships there so close to 4th of July or should we plan to play elsewhere a week earlier.
- Add run rule limit after 4 innings. Currently we use 10 run rule after the losing team bats in the 5th inning. Could be all ages or just 10U fast.

7) Organizations that want to host playoffs should be prepared to request in Feb Meeting. CVC working with the Washington Wild Things to play all championship games at Wild Things Park. At this time we have 6/19, 6/23, 7/1, 7/2, and 7/3 available.
