I have been involved with youth sports for well over 15 years where I started coaching Pop Warner Football for Chili Lions in the mid 90’s. I also coached at other organizations such as Tenth Ward Tigers and the Southside Cyclones where I was also the President of that association. I was also one of the Vice Presidents of the Monroe County Board representing 14 teams in our league including teams in the Buffalo area.

It has always been a passion of mine to help teach and mentor young athletes throughout the community. I felt that our kids needed some good leadership and guidance and I felt that I could provide that to our kids.

I step down from coaching football in 2008 and started playing more golf, although fun I still felt the need to work with kids. My daughter ran track and field and I began to get a strong interest in that, but more importantly being involved in my Child life as well. So she talked me into starting a track club so I did. I knew that I could not accomplish this alone so I sought those that had the same passion and caring for the kids in their communities as I did. So we built a well structure organization with folks with good leadership qualities, respect in their profession, and peers. Also I looked for those that can help not only in track and field, but Life.

I’m glad that we have united for common causes, which are our kids. There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child well we feel that we are that village.

Our track club has grown from twelve kids in 2009 to an anticipate growth of 50 kids this year. This accomplishment could not have been done without the tireless effort of all the board members, coaches and volunteers.

My Goals are to continue teaching, and helping kids success, and maybe become a track official once the new facility is complete at the College at Brockport where I work. I also hope with the help of others is to offer some scholarship to those past athletes that participated in the Rochester Running Rebels program and go off to college and participate in a collegiate program. It also give me a good feeling when you work with these kids and watch them grow into adults and success. Its well worth the sacrifice that you give to them.

Thank you
