2026 Playoff Schedule

 

 
 8U - Games start 6/15 and are played nightly thru Friday and then start back up the next Monday. Brentwood (Main Host) (Gold (Top half of each Division) and Silver Brackets (Bottom Half of each Division) Single Elimination Tournaments - Brentwood to Host their Games and Host Semi-Finals for both brackets.  Both Championship games are TBD.  Higher seed at each game has 1st option to host, except for Brewntwood games as main host they have 1st shot to host regardless of seeding.   Each team should try to supply a game ball.  Home team to provide an umpire or volunteer.  Umpires can be requested if available from the CVC Joe Bolton 724-561-2772

CVC Managers Meeting 4/4/26 Starting at 12pm @ Bridgeville Fire Hall

The Managers meeting is scheduled 4/4/26 starting at 12pm in 1/2 hour timeslots by age group at Bridgeville Fire Hall, 370 Commercial Street, Bridgeville, PA 15017.  We will review the rules with each age group and provide schedules.  

All teams should send their manager or an assistant at 6u, 8u, 10U Slow, 12U Slow, 15U Slow, 18U Slow, 10U Fast, 12U Fast, and 15U Fast.  YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE RULES, NOT ATTENDING THE MEETING IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE FOR NOT FOLLOWING RULES.

CVC Spring March Declaration Meeting 3/15/25 1PM @ Bridgeville

The CVC March Declaration meeting was held Sunday 3/15/26 at 1PM at the Bridgeville Borough Building at 425 Bower Hill Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.  The meeting minutes are as follows:

1) Role call - 9th Ward, Avella, Bellevue Avalon, Brentwood, Bridgeville, Carnegie, Charleroi, Collier, Etna, FCYFP, Greentree, Hempfield, Ingomar, Monessen, Moon Twp, Perry, Peters Twp, Scott Twp, South Allegheny, South Park, Southside, St Louise, TWIST, Union FInley, Wellsburg

2) Pay registration fees / provide rosters with players(if available now), must provide coaches info, home game info and no play dates .  Link to Declaration/Roster Form

  • If you cannot attend the meeting you can email your declaration forms to CVCLEAGUE@HOTMAIL.COM and send check for fees payable to CVC to the address of the Treasurer: Shane Franchick 1414 Critchfield Dr  Bridgeville, PA 15017
  • You can update your form with adding players up until the 1st game you play.  Thus if your roster is not ready for the 3/15 meeting, we still need the declaration form with coaches info and blackout dates and home dates/times/fields so we can start scheduling.
  • League Fees:
    • 6U - Free
    • 8U - $85 per team
    • All other ages slow and fast - $85 per team if you provide proof of USA Softball Insurance, otherwise $115 if you do not have USA Softball Insurance as USA Softball fee ($30) is being passed along to teams

4) Roster / Draft Rules:

  • Fast Pitch - You cannot have more than 2 out of school district players per team
  • 8u - You must have 75% of players rostered in your school district
  • Slow Pitch - You cannot have more than 4 out of school district players per team

  • CVC only received limited dates  from the Washington Wild Things to play some championship games at Wild Things Park due to Pony Baseball and Wild Things home schedule.  At this time we have approved Friday 6/19 for 2 slow pitch ages, the other 2 slow pitch ages will be played at the host field.  Option 2 - we have access to Wild Things Park Sunday 6/21 all day and could play all slow pitch finals that day starting at noon, but this is Father's Day.  Robert Morris University will tentatively host 10U Fast (6/18), 12U Fast (6/22), 15U Fast (6/25).  Still working on host for 8u gold and silver championships, may be held at the host site tentatively 6/22.

CVC Spring 2026 Feb Meeting 2/15/26 4pm @ Bridgeville Borough

The CVC Feb meeting minutes from Sunday February 15th at 4pm at the Bridgeville Borough Building at 425 Bower Hill Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017.  The meeting minutes are as follows:

1) Role call - Baldwin, Belle Vernon, Bentworth, Bethel Park, Brentwood, Bridgeville, Burgettstown, California, Canon Mac, Carnegie, Charleroi, Collier, Elliott, FCYFP, FCYS, Ingomar, Monessen, Moon Twp, Mt Lebanon, Mt Washington, Munhall, North Fayette, Oakdale, Peters Twp, Scott Twp, Seneca Valley, South Allegheny, South Park, TJ, USC, West Mifflin, West Newton, West View Ross, South Side, Burgettstown Area Girls Athletics, 9th Ward

3) Vote on rule changes/clarifications:

  • DECLINED - 8u limit max on the arc to 6 foot instead of 10 foot
  • APPROVED - 10U Fast limit the max distance of the lead from 1b to a 10 foot mark that will be drawn with chalk line.  Warning the 1st offense the runner passes the line before a ball is hit and out 2nd offense and beyond for the team.
  • APPROVED - Under roster rules, if an organiztion has multiple teams at an age group and is proven to have stacked a team, the organizations can call for a vote that could lead to warning/probation for 1st offense for 3 years and the removal from the league for additional offenses within 3 years.
  • APPROVED - 15u Slow establish a 10 run limit drop dead per inning during regular season.  The 7th inning is still unlimited.

4) Important dates for meetings and season start/end/playoffs

  • March Declaration Meeting 3/14 - Provide rosters / pay registraton
  • April Managers Meeting 4/4 @ Bridgeville Borough Building - Managers Meetings by age group to discuss rules and handout schedules.  8U identified volunteer umpires invited to 8U timeslot to understand rules.  All CVC Umpires are also invited to attend.
  • Season Starts for all ages except 15u Fast 4/13
  • Season Starts for 15u Fast 5/11 but have option to play earlier if not impacted by high school ball
  • Season End for all ages except 15u Fast 6/13

8) Rates:

  • Umpire fees by umpire orgs managed by CVC will be flat $60 per game for all fast pitch (last year was $55 for 10u/12u and $65 for 15u) and $50 per game for all slow pitch (increase from $45)
  • Umpire Scheduling Fee per home game by umps orgs for Joe Bolton/John D'Angelo/Sam Puglisi- Increased from $5 per home game to $6 per home game
  • CVC registration per team is based on if you are associated with USA softball.  If associated with USA Softball cost is $85 per team, if not associated then we have to charge the $30 USA Softball charges the CVC thus $115 per team.  6u Tball is free for all, and 8u is $85 for all.    

8) Organizations that want to host playoffs should be prepared to request in Feb Meeting.  CVC working with the Washington Wild Things to play all championship games at Wild Things Park.  At this time we have requested open dates 6/21 for slow pitch, 6/22 (8u gold/silver or 10u/12u fast), 6/29 (15u fast).  Other championship locations are being worked on.  Potential hosts - South Park , West Newton, Brentwood (15U), Munhall/West Mifflin (8U/15U), Moon-Slow, Ingomar-18U, Kennedy-Slow, NF-Fast/Slow
