| I would like to run a pre-season tourney again this yr with all the proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a friend of mine, Marissa Bianco, is runnning for Woman Of The Yr.
I would appreciate if Ian would give me a date to do this.
Thinking $150 per team guaranteed 3 games with top 2 teams from each bracket moving on to single elim.
Hoping for 16 teams. Who would be interested? Some positive feedback please.

| Thanks to everyone who helped in moving the season out 1 week for me to run this tourney.
I will speak to Ian and pick the fields.
April 15th. $150 entry fee
Pool play, minimum 3 game guarantee.
Open to league teams 1st. If we get full participation there will be 4 brackets of 4 teams.
Top 2 teams from each bracket moving on to single elim.
Like last year, I will try to separate the teams by talent and their finish last year for pool play.
Their would be a Gold and Silver Championship Division.
Please post here if you haven't already about playing in this.
All Proceeds to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I will also try to get the RI Blood center to come out for swabbing for the data bank.

| Don't bust on Slezak, someone very close to him was just diagnosed with a form of Leukemia.
This is why we continue to raise funds for their organization. Many of us have family and friends that have been touched by these horrible blood cancers and any hope for a cure is through private funding.

| We are definitely a go. Top 8 teams from last summer with the exception of Chip's team, havent heard from them. GQ, Invaders, forgot their new name, and a couple others. I am going to call the other coaches that I haven't heard from.
I will firm up and have everything posted By this Sat, fields, brackets and game times.
Thanks for your Patience, I have been dealing with some personal issues.
It is definitely a minimum 3 game guarantee so everyone can work off the rust.

| Hey, guys this is a great opportunity to have a little fun before the season starts. I would like to encourage all who haven't had a chance to get swabbed to do so. It's a very quick and simple process not much different than brushing your teeth. From there your info is put into a data base, at some point you maybe called upon to save somebodies life. It could be an older person or it could be a child! You then have the option to do the bone marrow transplant, which as of now is barely differs from donating blood. Very quick and painless procedure. I hope this encourages all involved to donate and support the cure to this miserable disease. Happy Easter and see you all Sunday

| I have the brackets done but there is an issue with what time we have the fields til.
Ian is going to check with the town tomorrow to see if we can get the xtra time we need.
There are 12 teams.
I separated into gold 8 teams, 2 brackets and Silver 4 teams, 1 bracket.
Minimum 3 game guarantee within your bracket.
rules are as follows:
$150 entry fee payable that day, if a check it's payable to the LLS.
1 and 1 count with a foul to waste
5 home runs
Pitchers CANNOT fake
courtesy runners follow league rules
run rule in effect
20 after 3 innings
15 after 4
10 after 5
We will start at 9 am, no choice.
Ian will text me tomorrow about the extra time on the fields and then I will post the brackets and game times and call the coaches.
If I forgot any rules let me know.

| The top 2 teams from each bracket will move on to single elimination and pools 1 and 2 will combine while pool 3 will have their own playoff.
These pools were set up based on my assessment of the teams based on a combination of last years finish and what teams look like for this year.
Some teams made some good pick ups and I tried to be fair.
I also put pool 3 on Hunters for most of the day so they could have some fun with the long ball.
Remember this is for a good cause and supposed to be fun for everybody, so lets get the rust off and have a good time.

The 2 Gold winners will square off at Foster to crown a champ.
Tiebreaker rules for single elim are as follows

5 hrs

Great day, great competition and most of all great group of guys and teams.
Congrats to Moulton and GQ in Gold Championship won by Moulton, Walker was a beast.
Congrats to Button Mashers and Ultra for their championship game won by Button mashers.
