| Hi guys, This Monday we lost 13 year old Jacob to a heart attack, he had an unknown illness where after soccer practice he was at dinner w his grandpa when after dinner he suddenly collapsed and was in a coma for 5 days when he passed away unexpectedly, he was a good friend of my daughters and he also was a classmate of here for 3 years and sat next to him everyday and her and I both are devastated. Anyone w kids can't ever imagine what that family is going thru rite now, one of my players bry lemme has had something similar happen to him, I ask our league to pray for his family and in honor of Jacob we all wear something purple this Sunday and a piece of duct tape glued to our uniform w the word jake on it to celebrate his life, as that's what his soccer team did, it would mean alot to me and that's what are league is all about. To all coaches I would really appreciate it if you could coordinate w your players, god bless, hug your kids and say a prayer for Jacob and his family. Rip Jacob Aversa

| Couldn't agree more Mike. My son was also friendly with him and to see the way all his friends are reacting is just heartbreaking...all the kids at the school and throughout the town have been honoring him by wearing purple. Also, if anyone is interested...their is a fund raiser through the middle school that is selling purple silicone braclets...I'm not certain where the proceeds go or who is holding this, but if anyone is interested I can certainly find out.

| Sounds great mike! Maybe guys can come up with 5 or 10 dollars to donate to help out the cause! Again maybe couches could collect something from there guys and make a donation to the family from our league?

| Sleez thanx for checking in, and you kno exactly how I feel and inthink it would b a great thing to do as a league , and Ed my daughter will be there at ravenwood Sunday passing the hat for her friend to help his family, thank you for the support guys it means alot, see you guys on the field and good luck to everyone sunday
