Pat McCarthy Shuts Down Mckeesport As Snappers Roll

Pat McCarthy went 5 shut out innings allowing only three hits and zero walks. The Snappers led off the first inning with three straight base runners and were able to manage two runs. South Hills got back on the board in the third when Pat McCarthy was hit by a pitch and singled home by Brandon Whitfield. In the fourth, Jon Oniel led off with a single and was followed by a Billy Wasko double. John Zilles then hit a sacrifice fly to left to plate another run. Mike Trusky and Pat McCarthy each doubled to cap off the 3 run inning. South Hills put McKeesport away in the sixth when Brandon Whitfield hit a bases clearing triple. Pat McCarthy moves to 2-0 on the season.
