"Great players have the ability to leave it on the field. After a game, regardless of the result, move on to something else your child will enjoy.

"Your children's youth sports experience will end, and it may happen suddenly. Hopefully, you will not look back and think, "I wish I had enjoyed it more instead of obsessing over performance, or playing time or the team's record." Enjoy the experience; it will end too soon."

My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure.

"its a simple thing, just a ball and a goal
once every 4 years that simple thing drastically changes the world
closes the schools, closes the shops, closes the city, stops a war
a simple ball fuels the passion and pride of nations
gives people everywhere something to hope for
gives countries respect where respect is in short supply
achieves more than the politicians ever could
Once every 4 years a ball does the impossible
And if history means anything, the world as we know it is about to
change"

I like rules and men working hard and using the limits of their talents to win. A man using excuses and not performing cannot play for me. You never know how close you are to making it, so you always have to try harder all the time.

What is love? Love is being the new kid on the team. Love is working your a** off just to get the coaches attention. Love is wearing a new pair of shoes every season. Love is the feeling of winning a big game. Love is the motavation from losing a big game. Love is balancing school and the sport you enjoy so much. Love is getting that clutch goal, making that clutch tackle and making that extra run down the line. Love is not quitting after you make a mistake, turning around and working extra hard on that. Love is going to the gym or running extra on your own time. Love is that extra mile you ran just to make sure your fit. Love is game winners. Love is winning state cup, and thats what we are set out to do.

A champion is someone who does not settle for that day's practice, that
day's competition, that day's performance. They are always striving to
be better. They don't live in the past.” Briana Scurry
Robert Huth about John Terry:
"It's brilliant playing next to him. Everyone knows how good he is and I keep on learning from him and Ricardo Carvalho. He talks you through the game and let's you know the situation around you and helps you out. That's very important playing in that position. Sometimes you get an awkward ball, where you're not sure what to do. You need someone like him to tell you whether to put it in the stands or pull it down."

Reporter- You never look Tired Frank. Its amazing watching you week in and week out.
Frank Lampard:
“I feel it sometimes, I mean everyone does, I mean it’s only normal. I mean I try, I’ve rested in between games this week and that’s what I tend to do and in the games I try to give as much and give it everything I can and when I come off the pitch I try to be as tired as I can because then I know I’ve given it all I can and today that was important for all 11 men out there and really push themselves and make sure we got the result.”

Asked if his players were buying into that, Renney replied: "You hope so"
