Central North Basketball Officials Association (CNBOA) is an organization of basketball officials dedicated to youth sports in the Greater Union County New Jersey area.

Formed initially in the late 1960s as an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball board, CNBOA has consistently served the State of New Jersey generally, and Union County specifically, as one of only 3 independent basketball boards training and certifying officials in conjunction with the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).

CNBOA members work at all levels of youth, recreation and high school basketball, primarily in Union County but in other parts of the State as well.

CNBOA offers members extensive training opportunities during the pre-season and off season for those officials seeking to improve their skill set.

CNBOA's Cadet Program annually attracts men and women seeking to earn their stripes as officials.  The program blends a proven curriculum of classroom-based rules and mechanics education with practical, on-court training with observers and evaluators.  Successful cadets are then paired with mentors during their initial seasons as officials.
