The Yankees Are Champions!

The 2016 Dinger League Week 1 was a success featuring 4 teams, two of which were returning form 2015, and two new teams. Through the regular season the Angels were the dominant club outscoring their opponents by 20 runs scoring 27 and only giving up 7. The Pirates had some highs and lows having a 2-0 day and a 0-2 day after their opening day loss. The Dodgers started off the season strong but struggled proceeding with slim pitching depth that lead to 6 straight losses after the day one win.  The Yankees looked like a easy team to beat after losing their first three games but after making some moves to bolster the offense by acquiring Nick and Gil and that made the difference as the Yankees won their last two games of the regular season. In the playoffs the Yankees had ace pitcher Eli come up clutch with a no-hitter vs the Pirates to lead them to their second straight championship which would be against the undefeated Angels who were coming off a walk off extra inning victory vs the Dodgers to clinch the championship. Parker, Eli, and Brady combined for 7 1 run innings in the championship for the Yankees but Jack and Charlie matched that on the Angels. The game ended up goign past the time limit making the conclusion end with a best of seven rock, paper, and scissors game which Eli won 4-1.
