Recreational League

"Rec league" is short for "recreational league" and refers to play within a local league formed of teams from the same general area. A "rec team" is formed from players from the same league, and a rec team plays teams from the same league and/or surrounding leagues.

As a Recreational Baseball League, our focus is on keeping games local which allows for an easier commitment for families.  We typically try to only schedule 2 games (sometimes 3) a week.  Although the schedule may vary depending on field availability and other scheduling conflicts, we try to have the following days assigned for each division:

8U - Monday / Saturday

10U - Tuesday / Friday

12U - Thursday / Saturday

15U & 18U - Schedule varies

About Us

Southern Berks Baseball League, originally named Twin Valley Youth Baseball League, was established in 1980 out of a desire to provide recreational baseball instruction to the youth in the areas of Birdsboro, Elverson, Geigertown, Morgantown, and Plowville.  The organization operated under the Twin Valley name up until 2015 when it became apparent that a name change was needed to differentiate the league from other organizations with similar names, as well as, to broaden the reach to organizations within the Southern Berks County.
