Coach Bennett has led the Cougars to the Region XX Tournament each year of his tenure, including 12 trips to the championship game (2004, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022) and 4 trips to the NJCAA Division II World Series (2007, 2010, 2015, 2021 and 2022). He has been named Maryland JUCO Coach of the Year (2022, 2011 and 2010), NJCAA Region XX Coach of the Year (2022, 2021, 2019, 2015, 2010, 2008, 2007), 2015, 2010 and 2007 Diamond Sports NJCAA Division II Regional Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), and 2007 Maryland Collegiate Coach of the Year by the Maryland Association of Baseball Coaches.
