"Schu" joined the Des Moines Royals of the MABL in 1997 and managed the team from 1999-2003 (team name changed to A's in 2002). Currently Co-Manager of the Des Moines Tigers. Joined the Board of Directors in 1999 and was elected President/Commissioner in February 2004.

Born in Dubuque, Iowa and is a graduate of Dubuque Hempstead High School and holds a Finance Degree from Iowa State University.

Began his amateur career as a member of the Sherrill, Ia semi-pro team in NE Iowa at age 15. Was one of two players cut from his high school team during his senior year which, believe it or not, led to his die-hard love of the game.
