O'Neil Ebanks has been at the Wolmer's High School for Girls since 1997, where he is the head of the Physical Education department, started his coaching career at Wolmer's after graduating from G.C.Foster College of Phycical Education and Sport. He acquired his level 1 coaching certificate(FIVB) during his years of study.

Since taking over the reigns from former teacher and Coach, Janet Robertson who guided the volleyball team to seven consecutive national titles (1990-1997), Ebanks has since garnered eight Under 19 National titles and six Under 15 National Titles. He has also taken his expertise to the national programme and has been a member of the coaching staff for both the senior and junior female teams since 2000.

Ebanks has also served on the Jamaica Volleyball Association executive in the capacity of Competitions Manager and Schools Development Manager. Currently he is part of the Inter Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA) organising committe for school volleyball.
