Coach Rottinghaus joins us from the Knights Youth Football Club where he coached for six years. He has assisted with end zone videotaping. This season he will be Special Teams coordinator and assist with kickers, punters, and snappers.

Royce is a graduate of Union High School and has been active in the district in many ways including the bus driver and assisting with the robotics program.

Royce and his wife Brenda (full-time secretary at the high school) live in rural La Porte City with their three sons Justin (2015 graduate from Union) and twin boys, Nathan and Tyler, who are both active in Union programs. Tyler will be a senior on the team this fall.

Royce farms and works full-time for Wyffels Hybrids as a district sales manager.
