Mickey D has been coaching and managing baseball in the San Diego (Santee) Community since 1971. Santee Pioneer Little League, Santee American Big League, Grossmont College, San Diego stars Semi-Pro Baseball Organization and West Hills High School.

Mickey scouted for the Atlanta Braves for over twenty years and has been inducted into the National Semi-Pro Hall of Fame Class of 2014. He also had his 1000th career win with the Stars in 2013. He is now up to over 1060 career wins with the Stars organization. Many players have advanced on to the college ranks and professional ball through his efforts. Mick's statement of "a coach or managers reward is a players success" is truly heart felt.

Through his coaching and managing baseball career Mick has seen life long relationships develop between players due to the "team work" concept of the game. Providing a positive attitude and teaching young men of how to play the grand game of baseball provides many of life's lessons, not only baseball.

When Mickey is not on the field, he works for Temperature Control, a heating and air conditioning company that he has owned and operated here in Santee since 1975.

He looks forward to the development of a highly competitive baseball program at West Hills High School.
