Boys Ages 7 and 8 by September 1st of the year playing
Instruction of basic baseball skills and in-game strategy development (i.e. knowing what to do with the ball when fielding it, etc.) is the primary mission of this league. Coaches pitch to players throughout the season. Wins and Losses are not recorded and league standings are not kept. Coaches are charged with helping players improve skills, understand the game and have fun while doing so. Every player has the opportunity to play EVERY defensive position. Coaches, players, parents and fans will exemplify Good Sportsmanship at all times.
Coaches receive rosters and schedules in mid-March, with practices starting in early April and games in early May. Each team is scheduled to play at least 1 game on Field 6 at Community Park during the League’s Annual Farm Sunday in early June. The season concludes by mid-June, and games are played at Lisle Jr. High School, Arborview Park and Scheisher School Field.
